I'm looking for just a simple mod that stables horse and able to store multiple rides, not massive mod like Convenient Horses (and no I won't use that one, it's conflicting with Standing Stone overhaul mod). I want a mod that makes horse stay at where it is when I tell it to (or any other way) and can support modded ride-able creatures (CC at least), it's irritating horse teleporting with me when I fast travel. List that is ok with me: 1. Dismounting in front of any stable area causes ride-able creatures stays there. 2. Crouching and interact horse brings up menu to tell it to stay there. 3. Added npc "caretaker" to many place (stable probably good place) with dialog to take care of horse and store there. List that's NOT ok: 1. Added equipment 2. Added horse 3. Alters follower or any existing npc 4. Alters anything else like standing stone or anything (this what annoys me the most) I'm surprised nobody made an update or a new mod for the AE version.

It's my first time on this forum so I know how to proceed but let's go. I would really like to know if there is already a mod with the possibility to tame several horses and keep them all, can the stable or any other place. I really enjoyed taming horses, but you can only have 4 horses, it's not cool

I... I don't even know where to start... I was playing this evening after a hard day at work. I was about mid way through a decent play through with my favorite character, Ashlyn. I had just conversed with Parthuurnax and spent the night with the greybeards. Upon attempting to sleep on a bed in High Hrothgar, the game seemed to lock up. After about a minute of waiting, I decided it had gotten stuck trying to sleep. I ctrl+alt+del and killed the TESV.exe process and reloaded. This went well. I went back to the bed, but decided to save before sleeping. The save... took forever... about 2 minutes. Then I tried to sleep. It got stuck again, but this time I waited... and waited... and waited... and finally it entered sleep and passed through the night. Got up, went to leave High Hrothgar, and it took over 2 minutes again to go outside. Knowing something must be up with the save file, I decided to exit the game and check on it. Well... even exiting the game took an obnoxious amount of time. I pulled up Ashlyn's one and only non-autosave file in Save File SCript Cleaner, and to my surprise, it was blank. The only thing it pulled out of the save was the screenshot. Upon doing anything the program 'stopped working'. I tried loading the auto-saves. Same story... Scared, I opened the game and tried to load Ashlyn's save. "The save file is corrupt and cannot be loaded" My heart sank. I tried loading Autosave 1 "The save file is corrupt and cannot be loaded" I tried loading Autosave 2 "The save file is corrupt and cannot be loaded" Autosave 3 "The save file is corrupt and cannot be loaded" Loaded an earlier file of my assassin character, Suki. It loaded just fine. Tried loading Ashlyn one more time, just because I'm stuck in denial like that "The save file is corrupt and cannot be loaded" W-why, SKyrim.... why? Why so sudden? Why when every thing is so stable and reliable? Oh, 'cause I modded the game... Where did I mess up? By modding the game? By calling task manager and killing the process? Wh-what's going to happen with my other characters? I can start over with Ashlyn but still have to worry about this random nonsense happening to me again? Am I suppose to accumulate hundreds of save files so I can try to fall back on one? WHY DID THIS HAPPEN TO ALL 3 AUTOSAVES, AND MY MANUAL SAVE ALL AT ONCE?! ALSO WHAT HAPPEND TO THE .SKSE FILE IN SAVE?

I don't know if this is a problem for anyone else but i cant seem to get off my horse in a stable. I have no problem getting my horse to wait somewhere indefinitely but I'd like it to wait in a stable like one of the hold stables but as i said I cant dismount in them. Is there a way of doing it that I'm missing or is it not possible in the vanilla game?

seems funny no body has made a kennel mod ,would really like too see some maybe in the jarls areas to go hunting with ,there is a lot of buildings in the mod lists but not many if any tackles this , a jarl shouldn't sit in his palace all day ,and hunting dogs are a thing in this game , so I'm thinking better stables with kennels ,but I cant start ck (crappy pc) so hoping some talented modder might agree with me and do something about it

(Non-english user, might be mistakes) I tried "The Journey" (yeah i know it is illegal but continue to read) mod pack and loved it. Loved it because it runs so smooth(20-40fps). Before this mod pack i was managed to run 120~ mods(only downloaded and managed in NMM,no other means of editing/optimization/cleaning things used, beacuse of my laziness :D) in Vanilla game. But random ctd's on endgames, fps drops badgered me. Hey guys. I've recently started a new Oblivion game since I haven't played anything but Skyrim when it comes to the elder scrolls series for many years. A friend of mine recommended the infamous ' Oblivion superpack' but the problem with that setup is that it's so god damn unstable. I crash quite frequently and the game freezes up at times also which is not what I'm interested in. I have never completed Oblivion so I don't really care for a 'super high end mod setup'. Just something that enhances the gameplay and graphics but also makes sure that the game won't crash and still stays stable around 60 fps. My specs are the following. Lots of love. Murk. Hello, i play a lot of mods but do not know how to create mods, or even to get the CK to work past shutting down after it registers errors in the main skyrim ESM, anywho, we all LOVE our horses, and adding stables to our modded player homes, but what we dont like is empty stables, or the lack of ability to assign a horse to a stable and for it to stay there... there was a oldrim mod that had three poles/stakes that was supposed to keep a horse at a assigned stable with the stick, but it never worked out right... ****would love ANYONE to create a mod to do this, just like a MY HOME IS YOUR HOME but for HORSES AND STABLES ( great name for the mod lol) in theory it would be just like a bless home spell but a bless stable spell with a choice of , one , two or say up to six stalls ,as i havent really seen any stables that hold more than that yet, then say maybe a another spell that you cast on the horse in question and a message appears to set said stable as home... sounds easy but again i dont know how to mod. ***BUT THIS TYPE OF MOD IS DESPERATELY NEEDED!!!! I miss the convenient horse herding, but that just set up a 30 horse heard in your choice location, not the same thing and with the mod that im using of swift steed stables, that added purchasable horses i have plenty i can stable assign along with the wild ones in that mod,,, even once bought from the stable from my mod and ridden to new stable, unmounted and walk to a new horse n mount that one the old horse doesnt stay where i left it.... i like buying my horses from the vanilla stables but i leave them there for my rich chartreuse who has horses in all the lands lol, but i always have empty stables  LESS A NEW MOD ADDS THEM BUT THEN I CANT RIDE THEM BECAUSE THEY DO NOT REVERT BACK TO THE ORIGINAL STABLE BUT END UP AT THE VANILLA ONES OR LOST IN THE ABYSS SOMEWHERE NEVER TO B FOUND :(.. ITS FRUSTRATING ( CAPS OOPS SORRY NOT INTENDED HERE LOL, JUST GOT A LIL EXCITED LOL) ****ANYWHO please, please please~ ***CAN SOME ONE MAKE THIS MOD FOR ME, FOR ALL OF US HERE IN SKYRIM LAND??????? Thank You!!!!!!!!!!!

Hii, i changed something about memory block to have a more stable skyrim, and I tried to walk around the land with a big speedsetav, the game did good and I monitored everything with vmmap to see if I was close to a possible crash, but honestly I don't understand much, can you tell me what the chart summarizes? Does the PC seem to hold up the game or am I close to some CTD or ILS? (sorry for my bad eng)

I've searched high and low and I can't seem to find a mod that lets me sell horses back to the stable. I think something small like that would make for an amazing level of realism and immersion! Unfortunately, I don't know how to mod (yet) so I can't say how difficult this might be... but I think it would be pretty great if someone gave it a try!

Hey all! So I've taken some time away to do some research, and while I've always appreciated the S.T.E.P community (here's a link for anyone unfamiliar. Great stuff. http://wiki.step-project.com/Main_Page), I've also come across a very detailed guide from an unlikely source: A user named 'Vixen' on an alternative site called 'LoversLab.' I know what yer thinkin'... that site's for adult mods! Well generally, yes. However, this woman speaks truth from a very sound IT perspective. Here's the link. http://www.loverslab.com/topic/22517-wip-vixens-guide-to-stable-skyrim-modding-v112-2013-11-13-latest-addition-skyrim-ram-explained/ It's a great guide. But two things I took away from it are this: My strange "flashing polygons" didn't come from any particular mod. There are a variety of mods that can cause this problem, but are perfectly fine on their own. The biggest revelation of all to me was that texture size matters a LOT LESS than people initially surmise. As I play for hours with the reduced texture options for Skyrim HD and RealVision ENB, I notice my framerates drop NOT in areas where there are lot of high-res textures, but high script loads. Let me explain: As the aforementioned guide suggests (start reading if you haven't already), many mods that cause things like inventory CTD are not inherently buggy. Most of them are cleaned using TESV edit, and their only fatal flaw is that they don't take into account the numerous scripts that additional mods also add to the worldspace. My most recent crash fiasco came from Bleak Falls on the way back to Riverwood. I was wondering just why any of this could be the case. I do have an expanded cities mod that enhances Riverwood, but not so much so that it could cause a ctd by itself. I also run SkyRE, SkyTEST, Realistic Needs/Diseases, and Frostfall. And I have good news: They all seem to be working beautifully now. Here's how I managed to fix my issues. Let's break down what happens in the game normally, if you've got all the DLC's and you've started a new game. After you've leveled up a few times, and traveled back to, say, Riverwood, you'll notice a ton of scripts going on at once. This is in the vanilla game too, mind you. The courier boy will try to find you and give a letter from the Jarl concerning property ownership (a poorly managed, never 'delayed' "Lets push out this script ASAP" method by Bethesda) all within the same in-game hour as the leader of the Dawnguard approaches you for a recruitment opportunity. On top of that, you may even get a vampire attack that same night, and if you have Interesting NPC's and Immersive Patrols walking through a town that's been modded and expanded... you can see where I'm going with this. That level of detail is infinitely more taxing on the game than a few textures could ever be. What I did to alleviate these conflicts: 1) I used Wrye Bash and made a patch for those. Specifically, I prevented Dawnguard from spawning its vampires randomly when there were other scripts enabled. The game is now more "passive," requiring me to wait in the town for a little while before anything like that ever happens. 2 I deactivated some of my mods. I wanted to keep the main elements of SkyRE, SkyTEST, Frostfall, and Realistic Needs, and I was willing to go to great lengths to make that happen. Solution? I asked myself what portions of the aforementioned mods would add the most scripting. For example, when installing SkyRE, I wanted a more immersive, realistic combat experience. But I didn't want to totally overhaul and "break" skyrim, using the uncapped encounter zones, or the changes made to item values in my inventory. So I chose the main perk changes, enemy AI, and Frostfall. This freed up space for scripting elsewhere. For immersive Patrols, after realizing Dawnguard's annoying nighttime vampire attacks were causing crashes at worst (and my favorite "radiant" NPC friends to die in some cases), I didn't want any more hostility in the world of skyrim than was necessary. The way I see it, Skyrim is a big, beautiful place, with plenty of space to explore, make new friends, and enemies. Immersive Patrols has a lot of the latter and a lot less of the former. So when chosing which parts of Immersive Patrols to install, here was my logic: **Anything that added traveling bandits or factions to the world space would inherently have to apply the enemy AI scripts to them, as well as possible SkyTEST animal interactions. All I wanted was to see some more friendly (or unfriendly) faces on the road in my travels. And since the Civil War is really kind of a facade, the only two mods I chose were the salespeople and the military patrols, both of which would never plan an attack on a town at inconvenient times. Less hostility means fewer fast-paced scripts. 3) I used ENBoost. Now some of you out there may have tried it, only to discover that it unfortunately deactivates your ENB. The mod author doesn't really explicitly say how to avoid this, but I figured it out after culling other forums for answers. In the enblocal.ini, you need to set "UsePatchSpeedhackWithoutGraphics=false". By default, since the newest update was meant to also be used for folks without ENB, this is the setting that needs to be changed. Everything else can remain the same, and voila! You have ENB and enhanced performance. If you see screen-tearing, enable Vsync=true. 4) THIS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT STEP! Most of you are either going to hate me for suggesting that your saves are totally corrupt, or facepalm when you realize how simple this fix can be. Either way, it's helped me and will likely improve your stability as well. It's simple: stop autosaving and quicksaving. Just stop it. It's bad. Skyrim's autosave is unstable enough as it is, and while it will never cause a crash in an UNmodded game, it does present with issues like random NPC misbehavior and inconsistent loads (Ie, my follower and the wolf I just hunted is two feet in front of me, and the next time I load the autosave, it's raining and the wolf is behind me etc). When you mod your game like crazy, there's that much more information that can go awry. A lot of times, autosaving misses half the scripts it needs to run because it's just saving randomly and taking a quick snapshot of your character only. Think of it like doing a hard reboot on your computer when it's still shutting down programs vs. slowly and formally turning it off the safe way from the shut-down menu. Same principle. So start a new game with all your mods enabled. Turn OFF all autosave functions, period. And from now on, whenever you save, do so in a safe location only from the menu (pressing 'esc' and saving from there.) I can't say that this will fix everyone's problems indefinitely. I still sometimes get freezes and crashes. But the game IS much, much more stable for me. And I'm confident that you too will see improvement. Remember, everything runs on scripts. Autosave is, in and of itself, a type of script. That's all I got for now folks. I'll be back in a few days to let you know if my computer exploded or if I wound up completely talking out of my ass with horrendous data corruption etc. -Patman.

Hello, I'm new here on this website, ready to try out some modding. Not new to Skyrim, played this game a lot on PS3. Now I've got it on the PC, I'm ready to make this game a bit better. I have around 20 mods istalled now (NMM), it runs stable fps (good PC specs). But I think some mods are not working well with each other, not all the mods are working. Where can I find some info about fully modding this game into something amazing while all mods running well with each other? Tips are welcome to, I know there is a program called BOSS for the loadorder but I don't really know how this works. I also understood that the .ini file is important.

I made this configuration still from scratch, the mods are all up to date.I`ve read through every single Mod description what it does, which incompatibilites it has,in which load order it should be and how it is installed. The mods are hand-sorted in my MO,after what they do,which Masters they have, what the mod descriptions says AND in the best way I can merge them best together. My configuration seems to be good, cause even after I made a backup of my loadorder and sorted the mods by LOOT,the CTDs were persistent. So I reverted to the backup i made myself, not that messy LOOT configuration.Everytime I integrated new mods to test, i started a new save game, to LOOK which one works and when the game starts to crash,to sort this mods out.So I decided for a stable gameplay not to use mods that needs brawl bugs, or make cloak spells. I tried to avoid many mods, which script entirely over the whole game like Skytest or such things. I want a stable overhaul of my game for a Mage/Vampire build, using ERSO and Perkus Maximus together. The crashes occour randomly outsides, during fast travel and loading times, there was one too as I tried to enter Belethors. TES5edit runs through without errors, plugins which were red in wyre bash have sorted masters, plugins are cleaned (but not the ones which need dirty edits, and not the official bethesda datas, cause I think the unofficial patches are built on that dirty edits, even like every other mod). But crashes occour even with cleaned Masters  I don`t know why it keeps crashing? Is there a Mod Incompatibility I haven`t seen? Or maybe one or more "bad mods" Or is my game running out of RAM? Or are these too many mods/Scripts for a new game?(with Alternate Start) And now where everything is so detailed here, maybe someone can say me which Mods i should exclude from Merged and Bashed Patch, and which ones from Patchus Maximus? Since I`m doing this "perfect" Installation now for two whole weeks(I`m sick, and yes I mean really 2 weeks  ), I would be very, very grateful to the persons that help me with the last step(before merging). Thanks in advance and greetz!

Hi I need help my skyrim has been crashing recently after a span of 40 minutes. My mods are primarily texture, armor and spells mods. After 40 minutes of gameplay Skyrim crashes to the Desktop without an error message. Whats weird is that last time I played I had no problems only thing I changed now was that I added gold to my player using console commands, changed her name using console commands, changed the loadorder using boss, reinstalled climates of tamriel and RLO and added a new plugin. Also I undeleted and disablbed refernces and removed dirty edits in the DLC, to try and remove the CTDs but there has been no success. I have no idea what is going on below is information on the problem and the mods I am using. Here is what it says in the papyrus logs [09/30/2013 - 01:22:39AM] Papyrus log opened (PC)[09/30/2013 - 01:22:39AM] Update budget: 1.200000ms (Extra tasklet budget: 1.200000ms, Load screen budget: 500.000000ms)[09/30/2013 - 01:22:39AM] Memory page: 128 (min) 512 (max) 76800 (max total)[09/30/2013 - 01:22:48AM] Cannot open store for class "dlc1scwispwallscript", missing file?[09/30/2013 - 01:22:48AM] Cannot open store for class "DLC2BenthicLurkerFXSCRIPT", missing file?[09/30/2013 - 01:22:49AM] Error: Unable to bind script DLC2WaterScript to (0401AAD8) because their base types do not match[09/30/2013 - 01:23:09AM] warning: Property pTG05KarliahInvisibilitySpell on script QF_TG05_00021551 attached to TG05 (00021551) cannot be initialized because the script no longer contains that property[09/30/2013 - 01:23:09AM] warning: Property TG05KarliahInvisibilitySpell on script tg06questscript attached to TG06 (00021552) cannot be initialized because the script no longer contains that property[09/30/2013 - 01:23:10AM] warning: Property FieldCO on script SF_CWAttackCitySurrenderScene_00020FA1 attached to (00020FA1) cannot be initialized because the script no longer contains that property[09/30/2013 - 01:23:10AM] warning: Property Alias_FieldCO on script QF_CWSiegeObj_00096E71 attached to CWSiegeObj (00096E71) cannot be initialized because the script no longer contains that property[09/30/2013 - 01:23:10AM] VM is freezing...[09/30/2013 - 01:23:10AM] VM is frozen[09/30/2013 - 01:23:10AM] Reverting game...[09/30/2013 - 01:23:10AM] Error: Unable to bind script DLC2WaterScript to (0401AAD8) because their base types do not match[09/30/2013 - 01:23:10AM] warning: Property FieldCO on script SF_CWAttackCitySurrenderScene_00020FA1 attached to (00020FA1) cannot be initialized because the script no longer contains that property[09/30/2013 - 01:23:10AM] warning: Property pTG05KarliahInvisibilitySpell on script QF_TG05_00021551 attached to TG05 (00021551) cannot be initialized because the script no longer contains that property[09/30/2013 - 01:23:10AM] warning: Property Alias_FieldCO on script QF_CWSiegeObj_00096E71 attached to CWSiegeObj (00096E71) cannot be initialized because the script no longer contains that property[09/30/2013 - 01:23:10AM] warning: Property TG05KarliahInvisibilitySpell on script tg06questscript attached to TG06 (00021552) cannot be initialized because the script no longer contains that property[09/30/2013 - 01:23:20AM] Loading game...[09/30/2013 - 01:23:20AM] VM is thawing...[09/30/2013 - 01:23:21AM] InitWidgetLoader()[09/30/2013 - 01:23:22AM] ~~~~~ Footprints: Running Maintenance ~~~~~[09/30/2013 - 01:23:22AM] ~~~~~ Footprints VC: SKSE Check Running ~~~~~[09/30/2013 - 01:23:22AM] ~~~~~ Footprints VC: Checking if update is required. i came up with this simple method to test my mod-heavy skyrim [230 mods at current] 1st - start a fresh new game 2nd - fast travel to Whiterun 3rd - steal your favorite horse (i think there is only one ) 4th - sprint to Rorikstead ps. be sure to check post no.7 for more useful software apps that will aid your Skyrim setup Note: i make one save game after reaching the Whiterun stables, with as little mods active as possible, this i use as a base template (just to be sure that it's script-free) Then i can make an additional save with my MCM setup, ie. activating mods, like Frostfall and Hunterborn, and setting up spawn numbers, like Skyrim More Spawns, i then use this save game to load all my future mod tests, that way i end up saving a lot of time during testing i also use Mod Organizer to setup specific base compilations [profiles] - one for animation tests - one for creature tests - and then the Uber-one for the full setup (best to build this one up in increments, so you can always roll-back when things go hay-wire) and when things start getting really tough, just add 3 mods at a time, that way the elimination process becomes a lot easier on you i always keep an open Notepad handy to record every step i take, this helps me track back, to see where things went wrong, or simply in helping me make the next decision When you have a setup that works, remember to make a backup of your profile, it's easy to make a mess of things (and don't forget to give yourself a smack on the back ) The good news is if you make it all the way to Rorikstead (about 2-3 minutes on a horse), chances are that you have a stable Skyrim, ready to play for hours on end! ( That is unless you are using quest or world-space mods which edit specific areas of Skyrim, in which case this method won't cover that. In general, my mods are focused on: encounters, weapons, gameplay, immersion, audio and visuals. You can take a look at my full list in my next post with a pic attached ) Hope that this little tip helps all you fellow Skyrimers Happy Dungeon Hacking  [ i think this was a screenshot i took from the previous Kountervibe ENB, the new one looks even better still ]

First off I need to say I searched the horse topics but they had different details and all that. Now my problem: You know those teleporting quests like the Sam drinking contest? They teleport the player too far away. And as I don't use fast travel for immersion, I bought another horse after this particular quest. So for short, when I realized, I had 3 horses at the same time. All bought. No Frost, no Shadowmere, all of my 3 horses had cost me 1000 gold each, on Witherun, Riften and Markarth stables. I was riding Whiterun horse in the north frozen mountains, when some ice wraith attacked and killed my horse. My last save was a bit... too behind, so I decided I would walk to Markarth and get my horse parked there. After I ride it for a while, he started to walk away back to the stable. I decided to ride to Riften and try the horse from that other stable. Mounted it, ran a few meters, unmounted to see it walking back to the stable too. So was the Markarth horse doing too. So I have now 2 owned horses, and none of them is set as active. Because my first horse died. Is there a command to set a horse as active so he doesn't walks away to the stable? Thank you. Ps: I do not have any horse mods, so its not a mod issue.

I realised how pointless showing off my mod order was without links to the actual mods so I'm going to work on that and get back to you folks...# This isn't my load order by the way, I'm just going from top to bottom of my NMM folders  When I use HARDCORE before a mod it typically means I consider it a mod that deliberately makes your game life complicated but for immersions sake. You'll tend to get things done more slowly but also feel like your living in this world just like everybody else. Hunters Cabin of Riverwood A nice little house overlooking Riverwood. It doesn't require you to do much to get the house but going through Embershed mine to get the key is effort enough to unlock the door. I don't usually play a Hunter but I got it anyway because it looks nice. Pets of Skyrim Sizzling: The Vanilla dog is cute but a little...well...Derpy for lack of a better term and I'm really more of a cat person. Well this mod adds cats and some new breeds of dogs, it's all for immersion for me but I haven't fully explored the mod yet. No Heavy Muscular Walk and Idle This is for people using Pumping Iron in my perspective and doesn't make your weak little man walk like a big muscled orc. Horse Trotting Instead of Walking HARDCORE: Realistically horses can't run forever, they get tired too, so for if your into that kind of immersion then have a gander at this. Your horse will trot instead of walking making it easier for immersion seekers to get around a bit quicker if you don't fast travel. No Death Spinning Animation Thank you!!!: Before I die I have but one ambition...TO BE A SUPER AWESOME SPINNING TOP MAN WEEEEEEEEEE *blegh*...the last thing I would do when I die is do a full 360 circle before falling over, it's so damn stupid, well it was fixed and I can't say THANK THE NINE DIVINES enough. YY Anim Replacer - Mystic Knight Cool: For those who want a more stylish looking character that uses board and sword or magic and sword then this mod is for you. It's a little feminine but customizable so you can choose which ones not to use. I've had this one for a little while now and find it to be relatively good. 360 Walk and Run Plus A simple mod that makes running without a weapon out more realistic. Basically your guy wont strafe or run backwards but instead turn to face the direction like a normal person would unless he has a weapon out. The Dance of Death Not a personal favourite and one I'm debating if it's worth keeping but if you want some nice looking finisher anims then go right ahead, I just don't think it suits my style too much but it's well done and nice to look at, won't deny that. Immersive Armours and Weapons Thank You!!!: A mod set that speaks for itself, the sheer amount of gear that these two mods deliver is astounding and game reviving. All the gear is lore friendly and feels like it fits in nicely with Skyrim. Me love my Wolf Katana Underwater Swimming SFX Fix This tones down the immersion breaking loud splashes underwater that sound the same as the splashes when your above it. Sounds of Skyrim <No Link> This is a 3 mod set that makes the game simply sound better. It has a Civilisations, Dungeons and Wilderness pack which you can download them at the Nexus. Clanking Armour Just a simple mod that makes heavy armour clank realistically, purely for immersions sake and not a big game changer. Heart of the Beast - Werewolf Sound and Texture Overhaul Sizzling: A simply mod that has three sets to choose from and makes werewolves look and sound rather frightening. Improved Combat Sounds A nice mod that makes combat sound better. Read the description for a better description Smooth Blades Draw and Sheath Another sound mod for immersions sake but it does make drawing your sword sound so much better Bandits Wear Helmets Self explanatory yet again, what did you think they used them as bowls? Better Archmages Robes Not actually seen them in my game yet but the screenshots make them look good...perhaps even BETTER Cloaks of Skyrim and Winter is Coming Both of these mods can work together just make sure you install Cloaks of Skyrim first then Winter is Coming. These cloaks are also usable with Frostfall and Wet and Cold. ACE - Athyra's Comprehensive Enhancements I do like this mod but I only use the ARCHERY module because my main Perk Overhaul is, to me, a lot more detailed and has way more perks but the Archery Module in this splits the bows into two types both of which have separate perks on the Archery tree so it;s worth it for that. Skyrim Performance Plus Use this with a low end machine and it'll make some changes to certain textures without actually making them look that much different. Magicka and Stamina Combat Regeneration I thought the combat regen was a little crippling, especially if you're a starter mage who doesn't use any other kind of offence. This has a lot of NPC's available for download that come in many flavours but their clearly described of their function so just pick the two you like and have at it. Bounty Gold Sizzling: Ever feel under appreciated as a Bounty Hunter. Do you feel like what you get just isn't enough for the risk you take in keeping the peace? WHO THE HELL ONLY PAYS 100 GOLD WHEN I FOUGHT AND KILLED A GOSH DARN GIANT!!! sorry I lost it there...Anyway this mod allows you to set how much you receive for your efforts and you can even set it to increase by a custom amount every level. I have it like this: Bandits: 500 + 25 per level Giants: 1000 + 75 per level Forsworn: 700 + 50 per level Dragons: 1500 + 100 per level Bounty Hunting has never been so rewarding and i feel my settings are realistic enough No NPC Greetings Thank You!!!: Ever feel like walking past someone and them telling you about their deceased parents, missing brother, how terrible their marriage is or how much they hate horses is way too much information to share with a passing stranger? Well let's free you from those shackles of commitment so that you can commence with being the dark hooded loner you want to be! *Jon Battle-Born* You know what's wrong with Skyrim these days every- *You* I DON'T CARE!!!! Gods just let me walk in peace... Run For Your Lives and When Vampires Attack When Dragons or Vampires attack a village or city of NPC's you don't want to see die then install these two mods and stop the tears. NPC's will run home or into the nearest house when one of two attacks happen instead of fighting with the guard when they have absolutely no combat skill. Skyrim Community Uncapper A simple mod that pushes skill level caps from 100 to 10000, it's good if you want to keep getting that much stronger Character Creation Overhaul Old school character classes make a welcome return and give you a little bit more focus in your game. It removes the Guardian Stones and puts their effects back into being birth signs, you can change your class any time using the book provided or sell it and be dedicate but once you do that then the choice is stuck, you cant change your birth sign, class or anything. Werewolf Perks Expanded Werewolf perks are good in vanilla but this mod aims to add more and make being a werewolf a lot more satisfying. Non-Stop Mining and Chopping Thank You!!!: Brilliant Mod if you want to work in a mine to make some quick gold but hate it when the ore runs out. Now it's more realistic and never does (If anything it wouldn't deplete after just nine strokes) making mining a valid source of good income. The big change is though that when you mine it takes six hits to get one piece of ore, a nice idea that balances it out evenly. Wood chopping also becomes an endless animation. I use this opportunistically, if I need to leave the room for an extended period of time but not enough to warrant a shut down if I mean to come back then, if I'm near a Mine of Mill, I just put my fella to work and make some gold. Alternate Start - Live Another Life It's a little hard to find your footing with this mod but anything beats the vanilla intro, it was fun at first but the forced instances suck. Don't pick the shipwrecked oen if you use Frostfall, I can't find my way off the ship and always die of exposure before I can. ABT - Arrows and Bolts Tweaks A good mod for hunters who don't want to waste arrows as they chase down that elusive deer but it also makes it a valid combat option. Enhanced Skyrim Factions This mod makes being a Companion more fun. You will need to work harder before advancing and that means getting more jobs between story missions and advancing your skills to certain levels. No greenhorn will be allowed to be Harbinger any more, I think that option comes after level 25. Bald Head Just lets you be bald...plain and simple. I feel the option is missing from the game so I got this to add some variety. Dovahkinder Collection Replacer Mods that replace the vanilla child clothes with less plain looking ones depending on the module you download Enhanced Lights and FX Cool: This mod makes the lighting look much more realistic and looks great even if your running the game on it's lowest graphical settings without any FPS hit that I noticed. I personally love this mod for making the game much more realistic looking. Hold Border Banners Another mod for immersions sake. It simply adds banners by the side of the road so you know you've crossed into another hold. Think of it as a road sign. Running Drains Stamina Hardcore: This mod is for people looking for realism because realistically your character can't run at the pace he or she goes at forever without getting a little tired. It's like with Morrowind's fatigue system and forces you to walk because running will drain stamina and that can be a costly mistake if you get attacked. My suggestion, buy a horse. Pumping Iron - Dynamic Muscle Growth Feelings...What are those? Turn your scrawny little man into a beefcake overtime as you get stronger and stronger. You don't suffer any penalties when your still a toothpick but it now seems more realistic as you get stronger and stronger. Wet and Cold - Ashes - Holiday Hardcore: Comes in 3 different versions but the last two require the main file. If you swim in water or stay out in the rain expect to start dripping with water and combined with Frostfall this can increase your exposure to the cold and force you to warm up. The second esp adds a version for the ash plains in Solstiem, meaning during an ash storm you'll need a hood, perhaps some goggles, and a mouth cover if you like to avoid the dangers of the ash. The third and final esp adds in a lot of Holiday events that add some festive joy to Skyrim. You can also pick a day to be your characters birthday. Lore Based Loading Screens Cool: I like this mod because I've learned so much of the Elder Scrolls lore just from reading the loading screens. Chesko (the creator of Frostfall) has a knack for entertaining mods. Realistic Running Speed Hardcore: Just a simple mod for immersions sake that makes running more realistic in terms of how fast you go. Makes having a horse quite meaningful too. Dead Body Collision Fix Think Dark Souls body collision and go...huh...then think of Skyrim and go...yeah that's not right...You can now pile up bodies if you wanted and stand on top of this glorious pile of victory instead of running through them. Please note that a body pile isn't really necessary. Frostfall - Hypothermia Camping Survival Hardcore: This is one of the most popular mods on the nexus and rightly so. It's been covered head to toe in praise just you'll be covered head to toe in fur when you get this mod. I insist on any role players or immersion seekers to get this mod, it's so well done and works wonderfully. You may need a mod that makes your script run faster though. Lanterns of Skyrim A nice mod that makes Skyim a little brighter. Lore friendly too. SM Drop Lit Torches I like this mod but for the love of god try to avoid using the provided hotkey torch power it gives you so just use the normal torch equip option if you want to favourite it as you drop the torches when you use a spell or weapon in your left hand anyway. Skyfalls + Skymills Just makes waterfalls and windmills animated in the distance instead of being static. Apparently causes some FPS hit but I haven't noticed it. Immersive Skyrim Thunder Adds in thunder sounds that the vanilla game had disabled. Hunterborn Thank You!!!: The perfect mod for a hunter. Allows you to tweak in a variety of different ways and makes hunting a good source of income. You can also set how valuable an animal pelt is and whether or not you can skin monsters like trolls and the like. Dragons are also a valid hunt if you set it. You can effectively be a game hunter, monster hunter or a dragon hunter or all three but you'll get more money for more dangerous creatures. Very satisfying and works well with Frostfall. Guard Dialogue Overhaul The Guards simply have more to say now using lines that weren't activated in Vanilla (or expertly acted, hard to tell.) Immersive Patrols Sizzling: A good mod that adds in a number of lore friendly patrols such as Thalmor, Bandit and Werewolf. If Military Patrols cross paths expect a small skirmish. Realistic Needs and Diseases Hardcore: Another mod that goes well with Frostfall and Hunterborn. You need to eat, drink and sleep and also stay sober if you can manage it. If you get sick then seek out help asap or you wont be able to sleep properly but so long as you eat and drink you can fight off the illness. Improved Skill Books Lets you know what this skill book will increase with the skill in brackets at the end of the title on your HUD such as Light Armour Forging (Smithing). It may break immersion for some but this is one I can let slip past my preferences Starting Spell Choice Has a magic selection process similar to Oblivion's LAME mod by letting you select which basic starter spells you want at the beginning through the use of scrolls. Please not that Alternate Start - Choose Another Life needs a patch that can be found on the mods downloads section. The spell scrolls will be in the skeleton. Fully Equipped Blacksmiths Thank You: Adds crafting tables and smelters to any Blacksmith shops that were missing them in the first place. Works will Non-Stop Mining and Chopping. CM Merchants Thank You!!!: Adds merhcants to any small village or town that doesn't have one. They set up stalls beside the inn and are quite well funded. BorderSense Use with Hold Flags for more immersion. Simply lets you know when you've crossed into a different hold. Comes with a version to keep immersion when your character recognises certain landmarks and locations so he knows where he/she is. Another Sorting Mod Makes your menu's look neater. OCD fanatics will like it. FISS Thank You!!!: Handy little tool to improve how your scripts run. Helpful when Frostfall acted up, hasn't faulted since I got this one though. Windsong Skyrim Character Overhaul Oh my word those wood elves look so...so...MMMMMMMMM...A nice mod that makes all the races look very pretty and it works with low graphics settings albeit a bit more plain looking. Vanilla Reduced Textures Purely to help lower end PC's/Laptops run Skyrim easier. It works. That'll do for now, gonna test some mods before I add the rest, chow

Can anyone who has played Skyrim for many hours without any significant issues recommend what mod combination they use? I have a weaker system so I don't really care for visual mods, just gameplay mods or the such... I currently use SkyRe in combination with a lot of other mods, but It doesn't seem very stable, I almost always crash when I load my savegame and have to load a far earlier save to start the game, then load my current save game. That, and there also is the random crashes that occur quite rarely, but they never happened before I used SkyRe (I use SSME and ENBboost). I'm near to completing my current run, and I would like to know about great mod combinations that are really stable, works well with all the DLC (I have the Legendary Edition), don't demand too much from your system, and are really immersive and fun to play for my next run, as more of a magic-warrior character. Any ideas?

Hey Guys! i'm complete lost, trying to figure out the best way to mod the game  .I can't take anymore counteless hours experimenting, reading reviews, posts and tutorials. I just wanna to plaaaay :wallbash: ! So i'm doing this very last effort and asking here : Which programs(resources, etc) besides from usual mods, do i need to use nowadays to have a more stable and pleasant skyrim experience? Any one from the list below ? Others maybe ? I'm already using Mod Organizer, Wrye Bash, Tes5Edit, Loot and SKSE. Thanks in advance! SSME ENBoost Skyrim memory patch HiAlgoBoost injectSMAA Safety Load IObit Game Booster my rig Mem 16 Gb Ram Video HD 7850 2Gb - 1920 x 1080 Phenom II X4 965 3.4 GHz Edit: I found this guide -Skyrim Stability Guide- http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/50244/? which helps with ENBoost -Skse-Safety load and Skyrim Memory Patch. It doesn't cover the other programs though.

Someone by the name of Sheson over at the ENBdev forum (and Nexus) found a way to make Skyrim stable as rock, even with high Ugrids. Go there, do as he says, and all your Infinite Loading Screens, uGrids CTD's, and freezes shall be gone! (For REAL, like... REALLY) http://enbseries.enbdev.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=2729 if the forum is offline go here: http://enbdev.com/ctdfix.html and don't forget to add the following line In Skyrim/data/SKSE/SKSE.ini: [NotPlacebo] GiveFirstBornToSheson=1 Yes, you have to add this to SKSE.ini, it's not a joke. If you don't have SKSE.ini, make one. also check out the S.T.E.P Forum, they are a bunch of very knowledgeable individuals. They also have a patched dll for download. UPDATE You can now download an already updated and patched dll ("Memory Allocation Patch") in the Optional Files if you don't want to compile one yourself, from: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/24235/ The updated code lets you configure the block sizes via SKSE.ini, so you don't need to compile another dll to change block size, also: [NotPlacebo] GiveFirstBornToSheson=1 have been replaced by these: [Memory] EnablePatch=1 Block1=512 <---can change Block2=256 <---can change I recommend keeping these default block sizes. These values should be fine, but if you crash with them, try messing with them. As general rule Block1 needs to be the same or higher then Block2. Try with 256, 512, 768 values. Over 768 can cause problems. If you still get freezes and CTD's try resetting your Skyrim.ini and SkyrimPrefs.ini to vanilla. Don't forget to thank Sheson on ENBdev forum, give him your feedback and give him kudos on Nexus! If You Have Problems... MAKE SURE YOU: Check if the block sizes have indeed changed with VMMap. Check "Documents\My Games\Skyrim\SKSE\skse_steam_loader.log" for a line that has to do with memory. (Line is different depending on patch code. If using any of my compiled dll's, the line to look for is "Sheson took your first born in exchange for more memory") Try different block sizes. Are using Steam. Are using SKSE 1.6.16. Are using Skyrim version 1.9.32.0. Tried vanilla Skyrim.ini and SkyrimPrefs.ini. Remove "Safety Load" if you are using it, it's not needed. Don't change Ugrids in-game If you are using "Stable uGridsToLoad" (AKA CellStabilizer) , it's risky (as I've found in my testing). Try ALL my patched dll's. Start with the smallest block sizes, which should work.. BUT.. if it doesn't, keep increasing until you find one that works. They use default Sheson code, so.. no block size ini tweaking. Some will probably crash, it's normal, just try another.

This was done on the Legendary Edition so all updates and DLC were installed. SKSE installed Mods added via Nexus Mos Manager Project ENB add via ENB Manager and Changer Please see the screen grabs i took of my mod list. They are in order of installation. Ignore the project enb mod at the end of the list unless you are manually installing the enb. you should use the ENB Manager and Changer if you can, it allows for clean installation/uninstallation of enb's. I have this tested and running perfectly. My Rig : core2 quad 6600 no overclock 4gig ddr3 ram 1066 speed AMD Radeon 7870 with 2gig of vram Almost all these mods can be found in the top 100 most endorsed/downloaded filter.

SUCCESSFUL NEW VEGAS LOAD ORDERS Modding New Vegas can be a very frustrating experience as I'm sure many of you reading this know all too well. This is why I've decided to open a new discussion revolving around people sharing their most stable load orders so that other users may find happiness quickly without having to become "The Hulk" and angrily uninstall their copy of New Vegas. Any stable load orders are welcome: Realistic, Fun, Over-the-Top. Just having some readily available for viewing would really encourage the usage of modifications and a pain free modding experience. Thank you in advance for any submissions. - Kenneth
