Hi! I wonder if it will be possible to completely overhaul how weapons and clothing operate in the game. Eliminate the "colors system" and set a specific damage per weapon and a usage degradation system. The downgrade system could be calculated by the number of bullets fired. Once that point is reached the weapon could be set to as if you had no ammunition therefore it would "not work". Ammunition should also be modified in the leveled list, making it scarcer and much more expensive. Enemies as well as the player could die much easier because the weapons would do much more damage, that way you could use low level weapons and still be useful in the long run. Same with the clothing system. Remove the armor stats and only apply the stats to clothing that is part of military equipment such as Arasaka vests, Militech etc. And also a system of downgrading for damage received perhaps? Melee builds would still be viable if you have the necessary armor mods or equipment (military grade clothing - implants). This is almost impossible because you would have to modify things that are part of the core of the game, but I would like to see such an addition that really adds one more use for money in the game when repairing or buying new equipment. And it comes closer to something more proper of an RPG. Cheers!

Idea for a mod. Framework for being able to go through doors that require activation in order to get to the other room/cell, automatically. So whenever you face an entrance and touch "door/wall" it automatically starts loading the next cenario, kinda like NPCs do. There can be an optional prompt that appears asking wether the person want to enter, making it a choice based system instead of instataneously entering which is the idea of the mod or having to activate the object to enter.

Hey everybody, hope you're having a great day. So the mod in the title, RobCo Terminal Operating System, is a mod with a LOT of promise and potential, and it's one that I truly want to integrate into my gameplay (especially considering the possibilities of a portable "terminal", or being able to type documents on it). The mod author (Kernboom), listed a seemingly easy way to get custom terminals to use the script: use FNVEdit to find the terminal entry, then add in the editorid OSROBCO within a submenu and it should pick up on the script. So I've found the terminals (Using the ones from KDS Portable Camp Stuff and the TTW Addon), and I go to the "View" tab as recommended, but I can't find anything about a submenu. There was a menu list, and I could right click and hit "Add", but that added a length of other confusing variables. I did see a "Submenu" listing in there, but nothing happened. So what am I doing wrong here? Also, whenever I do try to put in the script in an area it might actually fit, it tells me that it doesn't exist, even though I installed everything exactly as told.

So Iâm thinking about making a health system where: #1: when a humanâs torso or head is crippled they die. Thatâs one separate issue I am trying to figure out scripting wise. #2: A way to have an armor item reduce crippling to one specific limb only While there are armor modifications in the base game that globally reduce limb crippling, is there a way to make this effect only apply to the head? In this way, my health system will allow helmets preventing headshots, and then also using a similar effect to have body armor protect the body but not the limbs. Any ideas for either point? Cheers :)

Hello! Ive got a great Idea how to make the Game as full as big as it deserves. The Idea: A blend of three little Game modifications which makes the Game more RPG like & weld everything together from the Landscape to the Quest. 1. Adding a Few new Enemys A Few, maybe three or four new Enemys, easy ones to hard, like the "Scavengers" in Gothic, boars, leprechauns, Trolls/Golem. 2. Filling the Landscape with EP Nests Filling the space between Question Marks & Towns in the outback with easy to middle, maybe somwhere some Strong Monsters & maybe a few hand set Chests over the World. 3. Adapting the EP & skill system Adapting the EP System, Gaining EP & Skills for slashing Monsters, too. The Goal of that Idea: Users of that modification would have a whole new Experience of the Game! The whole Landscape would gain on interest & You have a "cause" for straying through the pretty Landscape by Slaying Monsters to strenghten & Gaining Skills. The fighting through & looting chests would make the Questionmarks be like just around the corner what would gave them a realistic mystical touch by the way. They could be ruins which appear as a part of the history of the Country, you are be exploring instead of be the only source for items & EP outside the Quests. Everything would "weld" together. From the Landscape to the Quest. "RPG Like"

So I'm making this post as a last attempt to get any help, I've been frustratingly googling info and tips on how to fix my problem but it seems this is a VERY unique problem as I can't seem to find it anywhere. So recently, I uninstalled skyrim completely, no mods, directory was gone. I reinstalled it and got all my mods back etc and the only thing left was to install my ENB. That's when my problem occured, no matter what I attempted, nothing can get past my error. Whenever I try launching SKSE with ENB, an error pops up saying "Couldn't inject DLL". I made a video on this so you can see what my problem is exactly: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Y3AspsUteE My specs are: Windows 10 64bit i7-4790k 16gb Corsair Vengeance RAM Zotac GTX 970 - Currenly on the latest drivers, 364.51. I've tried EVERY fix I could find in google from the June 2010 download, Xbox overlay, injector enb, nothing has worked at all. I don't want to revert back to Win 8.1 but if I must then so be it. I just want to find a way to fix this very rare problem of mine before having to do the "last resort" of reverting back. Thanks in advance!

So, I've been working on a project recently and I'm having trouble when it comes to creating a unique prison system. I've looked all over the wiki and google searched and I can't find any solution. I've tried to figure it out by myself, and I've gotten the crime faction to work, and I get a bounty for committing crimes, but guards won't try to arrest me. Instead, they say I'm not worth the effort and stop attacking. Can anyone give me some advice? I can't find anything and any help would be very appreciated. Basically I've made a small cell, I've the crime faction and set the exterior cell, the follower marker, the stolen goods chest, and the player inventory chest but I don't know where to go from there.

Hey there! I'm having some issues regarding The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. The game is constantly stuttering/lagging despite me having hardware that's more than capable of running the game near, if not on max settings. (At least according to the official system requirements) I have a Asus notebook with these specs: Intel Core i5-5200U - 2.20 GHz 4 GB RAM NVIDIA GeForce GTX 950M - 2 GB Windows 10 (64 bit) Does anyone have any clues as to why this stuttering/lagging occurs? I had a much weaker PC just a year ago and it was able to squeeze more fps out of Oblivion than this notebook, so I'm quite clueless. Cheers!

So... I don't know is there anyone who can't sneak under this flying robot-eye thanks to invisible wall as i can't but i think if it's a global problem it worth to have it resolved. Am i wrong, Dude? Am i wrong?

This post can be disregarded / removed... is now a duplicate of: http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/3927265-low-performance-when-playing-skyrim-with-mods/ Hello guys and gals! I had posted on the generic nexus forums and realized this question belongs on here, so I will try and transfer over to this new post. Here is the original post: http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/3927265-low-performance-when-playing-skyrim-with-mods/ If you have the time and the knowledge, it would be great if i could have everyone read through what was already said and then post here. The problem is that my mid/high end machine is struggling to run a moderately modded Skyrim. In the previous post I provided my system specs, mod list, and settings tweaks I have tried so far with no results. The same still applies, but I want to get this communities input as well. I can provide any information people need in this thread.

This is actually a fairly heavy suggestion. But I was wondering, depending on the strength of the tools available to players in the coming construction kit, if it would be possible or feasible to make some kind of Shadow of Mordor like Nemesis system where Legendary monsters would increase in strength if they some how killed the player. I don't know how possible this is, because I am not sure how the game tracks these NPCs. For all I know they are randomly generated, and so having persistent monsters that level up, and gain status by killing the player character might mean a fair amount of work, especially if the monsters are supposed to have this dramatic WWF like intro each time you meet them again. How complicated do you think this would be to implement. Much love. Wreath from the New Retro Gaming Perspective.

I find it very frustrating for when I build stuff to find a way to stack things without having a large singular wooden post to rest things on. If you can see from the attached image, I've had to use a power pylon in order to achieve a non float look. If its possible to add a wooden post structure, capable of having no collision (as in I can put it through anything and in anywhere) It would be very useful. In creating large stacked settlements for looks and realism.

Hello there  I adore Skyrim, and I would love to play it on PC so I have full access to mods and console commands. I am looking into buying a laptop at a manageable price that is capable of playing games well. The problem is, I know next to nothing about computers. If anyone here who is knowledgeable about what requirements laptops need to play Skyrim with nice graphics, and mods smoothly, could you please help me out? Also, if you could estimate the price I am looking to be paying? Also, if you have any brand recommendations I would be happy to hear them Than you so much! -Cake, level 46 Nord

Hi, In a mod I'm designing I am making a meditation forge (kind of). Its a spell that when you cast it, it places the furniture greybeards meditation marker and the player activates it to meditate (done automatically after spell is cast) and learn specific spells added by the mod. Kind of like the greybeards learning new shouts, same theory but a little different in practice. Its essentially a forge menu that plays with the greybeards meditating animation. At the moment there are two issues with the spell that I can't seem to work out: 1- The meditating animation doesn't play the first time in a cell. You have to use the spell and leave the meditation state and re-use the spell a second time for the animation to play. The menu opens to create the spells but the animation doesn't play on the first casting of the spell in a newly entered cell. 2- The markers aren't removing right after getting up from casting. I tested the spell a lot in the whiterun market and when I returned there most of the NPC's were meditating. Kind of funny but also annoying that the spell doesn't remove the marker right away after meditating ends even though I specified it to do so in the script. You can still talk to NPC's no problem though. So to recap my issue, the spell works fine; the forge system works. just that the animation doesn't play the first time you cast the spell in a new cell (entered) and the meditation furniture doesn't remove even when the player stands up, even though it is specified in the script to do so. Thanks in advance to anyone who can offer help

Hello Nexus, This is my first forum post. I read up on forum rules so I hope I am not breaking any with this post. Anyway I am writing because I am having the hardest time with my ENB. I have a pretty intense system. System Specs: Processor: Intel i7-3770S CPU @ 3.10GHz RAM: 16GB OS: Windows 7 64bt Video: Radeon HD 6770 Internal HDD: 3TB Anyway I am using Project ENB and the best I am getting is 5-10fps on average. I have high res textures as well. I am so confused by this. My computer can handle any game I throw at it on Ultra Graphic Settings with ease. I use it for editing movies and visual effects as well so the thing is a work horse. I have gone through the guides, uninstalled, reinstalled, you name it. I had the same problem with RealVision. Any ideas as to what I could be doing wrong or is my hardware simply not powerful enough to hand it? I am using mod organizer. I am also having an issue where I can't change my game quality. Mod organizer locks it at ultra. I feel like this would solve my problem but everytime I change the graphic settings through mod organizer and just the regular launcher it reverts the settings back to ultra. Thank you for all of your help.

Hello. I'm new to this whole modding thing and I find that the house mods are really interesting. I'm just wondering if its even possible to run house mods within the game with the following system. MacBook Pro Processor: 2.4 GHz intel core 2 duo Memory: 4 GB 1067 MHz DDR3 Number of processors: 1 Total number of cores: 2 L2 Cache: 3 MB Memory: 4 GB Bus Speed: 1.07 GHz Chipset Model: NVIDIA GeForce 320M Type: GPU Bus: PCI VRAM (Total): 256 MB Also is SKSE needed for any or some house mods, because I used cider to play Skyrim so no SKSE for me. I'm not desperate to be able to get these house mods, but at the same time I'm curious if it's possible to get them so that's why I made this forum. Sorry if there is already a forum covering this topic. Thanks in advance.

Hello, I would be grateful if someone could help me out pick the best ENB for my system. By "best" I refer to the ENB which creates a perfect balance between performance and graphics for my Skyrim. Here is my Speccy screenshot: http://speccy.piriform.com/results/I3WAImMPsNCaRAlLln1dFlb Thank you in advance

Ok lets face it this probably isn't Rogue-like since I haven't played Rogue but I think it fits under the genre's category. Anyways this is basically my take on playing Skyrim as a Rogue-like. Sadly I cannot program so I can't make the process automatic but I do have the ideas for it. So I am going to go over the way I made my Skyrim Rogue-like (in a very basic sense that is.) First off these are the essential mods you'll need to make this work: Frostfall - Hypothermia Camping Survival by: Chesko Link: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/11163/? This will provide much more challenge in survival and will force you to be prepared for the cold harsh climates of Skyrim. Eat and sleep by: kuertee Link: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/13246/? Again, this will be providing more aspects to kill you, and of course due to that make the game more difficult. Alternate Start - Live Another Life by: Arthmoor Link: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/9557/? This will make starting new character a lot less dull, and will give you different ways to start off the game. Note: It seems like using the chance option in the menu ends up picking 3-4 of the options listed, or at least in my experience. I would personally recommend closing your eyes and picking randomly by hovering your mouse at a point in the menu and then scrolling up/down for a few seconds and clicking from there. If there are any side-options I would recommend using the rolling system like the rest of the choices you will see down below. The way the rolling system works on weapons, and armour is that instead of having a de-buff like most other RPGs would give you for using the wrong gear, in Sky-Rogue I prefer to just have it completely un-usable and due to the limitations of me being unable to code you will have to remember everything yourself, I would recommend just grabbing a piece of paper and writing things you won't remember down. Sky-Rogue Rules 1. You have one life, if your Skyrim crashes use your previous save. Save often. 2. Do not min/max, do not abuse game mechanics, keep the gameplay lore-friendly. (Example: Pickpocketing repeatedly after training) 3. No fast travel 4. Stick to your character's results, or else it defeats the purpose. 5. No savescumming 6. Above all else use your own judgement to keep the experience best for you. Note: All the randomization I do is done by http://www.random.org/ and I find it reliable for random results. Character Setup – Basic – Required Race – Roll 1-10 – The race is determined going top to bottom, for example 1 is top, 10 is bottom. Gender – Roll 1-2 – (-1 Male-) (-2 Female-) Character Visuals – Roll 1-? - Depending on how many presets you have available on that race. I would suggest doing the same for eyes, lips, hair, hair colour and eye colour if you want to keep your characters looking unique. You can apply warpaint to your character if you think it's appropriate with the rest of the results. Armour Style – Roll 1-3 (-1 Clothing-) (-2 Light Armour-) (-3 Heavy Armour-) Weapon Style – In order to determine available weapons roll 3 times, if you get the same weapon class multiple times, do not re-roll, it will simply be a limitation of the character. - Roll 1-11 - (-1 Daggers-) (-2 Battleaxes-) (-3 Greatswords-) (-4 Maces-) (-5 Staves-) (-6 Swords-) (-7 War Axes-) (-8 Warhammers-) (-9 Unarmed -) (-10 Bow-) (-11 Magic-) Note: If Dawnguard is installed roll up to 12, with 12 being the crossbow. Stealth – Roll 1-3 - (-1 Yes-) (-2,3 No-) Stealing Ability – Roll 1-4 (-1 No-) (-2 No-) (-3 No-) (-4 Yes-) Name – Personally I would suggest using the Tamriel Rebuilt name generator, and picking the first name it gives you. Character Setup – Advanced – Optional But Recommended Personality – Roll 1-3 - (-1 Intimidating-) (-2 Charming/Funny-) (-3 Intelligent-) You'll have to decide on what is what during dialogue options yourself since they aren't always very clear. Ability To Ride Horses - Roll 1-4 - (-1,2,3 No-) (-4 Yes-) Crafting Knowledge – Roll 1-10 - (-1 Blacksmithing-) (-2 Enchanting-) (-3 Leatherworking&Blacksmithing-) (-4 Leatherworking-) (-5 Alchemy&Enchanting-) (-6 Alchemy-) (-7 Alchemy&Enchanting-) (-8 Enchanting&Blacksmithing-) (-9&10 None-) Gods – Roll 1-3 - (-1 Aedra Worshipper-) (-2 Daedra Worshipper-) (-3 In-Different-) Note: Vampiries&Werewolves automatically bypass this, and pray to their respective gods unless turned against their will. Ability To Pickpocket – Roll 1-3 - (-1 Yes-) (-2,3 No-) Werewolf / Vampire - Roll 1-20 - (-1-18 No Infection-) (-19 Werewolf-) (-20 Vampire-) Note: This will have to be set using console commands. Dragonborn Or Not – Roll 1-20 (-1 through 19 No-) (-20 Yes-) Note: Not being Dragonborn completely blocks off the main questline, unless you can susbend your disbelief to being referenced as Dragonborn by everybody. Marriage Options / Sexual Orientation – 1-10 - (- 1 through 6 Heterosexual-) (-7,8,9 Bisexual-) (-10 Homosexual-) Character Weight Level – Roll 0-10 – Adjust the bar accordingly. Note: This directly correlates with the ability to mine, characters bellow weight 50 cannot mine, unless they can use a two handed weapon. Political Stance – Nords: Roll 1-3 (-1 Imperial-) (-2 Stormcloak-) (-3 Neutral-) Non-Nords: Roll 1-11 (-1 through 5 Imperial-) (-6 through 10 Neutral-) (-11 Stormcloak) Note: If your character's race is Imperial they cannot be Stormcloak, instead any Stormcloak result is to be treated as an Imperial result. I hope you guys have as much fun with it as I have had, and most likely will have. I've been doing something like this for awhile but just created this system right now. Keep in mind this is all one big guideline and you can add and remove what you think is applicable and best for you. If I see any great suggestions down below I could implement them in here, and thank you for reading, and thanks to my cousin for proof-reading this thing for me (known as "The Friendly Neighbourhood Spy" on Steam.) :D Note: If a modder would like to try and undertake this into a fully-scripted system that would be pretty amazing, just throwing it out there if anybody wants to try, but the amount of work would be immense.

Hello i got a problem with the HDT High Heels system. As you can see on the picture (I needed to cut this so tiny) this menu is pretty buggy, but I don't know why. Everything is new on this mod and my other mods too. Can someone help me with this "bug"?

My friend was talking about how he wants a mod in Skyrim where you can switch to different followers like you do in Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic, anybody remember that? He thinks it would be cool to swap from yourself to one of your followers so I decided to post this topic on here and see if anybody has any ideas. Thanks for reading and share your thoughts!

I will be writing this topic as follows : 1. Main idea, the point 2. Spoiler theory with more details 3. Spoiler with examples. Issue : I don`t like the sudden big benefits/penalties in game. Details Examples Instead this system, there could be a system based on minor percentual chances to be able to do anything, that would level up with the skill/experiencing it, instead of perk picking. Details Example Also skill learning could be enviroment/experience based rather than just usage based. Details Example This would radicaly change the gameplay experience, the fights would be more unpredictable and random, so in my opinion more fun. This is just a concept, brutto idea. Any numbers/features will be refined in future thinking/discussion/work. Thanks for any ideas/critics/help/references to similar projects.
