Hello, I am looking for a moderator to ask them a question. I haven't been on the forums in some years but recently I came across an old weapon mod(more a weapon collection mod) that was on NV YEARS ago. The creator removed it and as far as his friend said passed away, not sure if this is true or not and I didn't want to pry out of respect and dignity. I wanted to take along a project to modernize, update, and restore some of the weapons as some of the weapons are stunning and also exceptionally well made. I am new to modding and I want this mod to be a magus opus for myself, I believe there is a form of it on ModdB but I don't really use the site outside of half life stuff so haven't checked. Anyway, I want to speak to a New Vegas Moderator about a few questions if someone can DM me?

I've got an appearance replacer for Sapphire that I made with ShowRaceMenu and exporting through the Creation Kit. Problem: Although it looks right on my PC, when I test on XBox her face is very pixelated. I think I'm supposed to upload more than just the .esm? Can anyone explain what files need to be included with an NPC replacer? I did not use any custom eyes, hair, etc. All changes are from the vanilla game. My upload file is pretty small... less than 1 MB. The NPC replacers I have seen tend to be larger files. Can anyone explain this, or point me to a tutorial about uploading NPC replacers? I think I am just not including something critical when I upload. Thanks in advance!

SSE Help! How do I upload an NPC replacer?
Cristobot posted a topic in Skyrim's Creation Kit and Modders
Hi, Can anyone explain or point me to something that explains what files need to be uploaded after editing an NPC's appearance? I am trying to edit Sapphire's appearance. It looks okay on my computer. However when I upload the .esm file I get a pixelated face! I've seen dozens of NPC replacers, and I've seen tutorials on how to edit an NPC's appearance. They work fine. I must be missing something. A .nif file? **I cannot seem to find or figure out what files need to be uploaded so that the NPC is truly altered. (I am playing on XBox and PC) To anyone that helps, many thanks in advance! :-) -
Hello everyone! Please, help me to understand how to upload my first mod, I spent a few hours trying to figure it out, but most threads that I can find are either for Skyrim or don`t tell anything about BA2 . I have MyMod.esp , MyMod - Main.BA2 and MyMod - Textures.BA2. I put them in a folder with the same name as my .esp. Don`t know what to do next. My mod does not alter any files and it`s a really small mod, but it uses a few models from one of the DLC. That DLC was added as one of 2 parent masters in CK. I`ve never uploaded any mods at all and have not created any mods untill now. I want my mod to work with NMM.

So lets say that i'm uploading big files. Around 15 gb at the maximum, and i know it gets a lot to upload on nexus mod site. Perhaps, when i reach the 100% the page have no file uploaded and actually it asks me again to select a file to upload. What's the problem? I don't think its only for size, since it always says wich is the maximum limit.

Hi! I recently uploaded my first mod but I am having problems with the text. Right at the top of my page, I keep getting [left/] before any of the actual text that I type. I can't get rid of it! Any ideas? Thanks in advance

I recently uploaded a mod called "Mad Factory" to the Nexus, but I constantly got replies saying that they couldn't download it for some reason. That was strange since I could download it just fine from my computer. I thought it was just a problem with the Nexus Mod Manager, but then I uploaded it to Bethesda.net and its showing signs of having the same problems there as well. The thing is that I've uploaded files to the Nexus and Bethesda.net before and didn't have any issues. So I'm wondering; why is this a problem? Am I using an older version of the Creation Kit and don't know it? Does it have something to do with the fact that I put the files in a Winrar folder? Is there a special procedure for when you include DLC content in your file like I did? Who else had this problem and what could possibly be some causes? I'd love to hear what you guys have to say and hopefully you can help me get this thing back up soon. The file is below if you guys want to dissect it and figure it out.

Can't get my mod's download with NMM button to work
Croutonlolz posted a topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
Hey, I'm trying to learn all the basics of making and distrubing mods and I mad a small mod I used to test some things in creation kit. I uploaded it to Nexus to see if there were any unforseen hickups in the process and it turns out I can't for the life of me figure out why the download with NMM button won't work. The manual download works right (once I let it finish scanning), but the NMM button just goes to the grey box but it doesn't full expand and there is nothing in it. My mod just consists of a esp and bsa. Is there a guide anywhere for uploading and archiving? I get the feeling it must be something to do with how I'm archiving it, because I can't think of any other reason it wouldn't work. -

I am having a very frustrating issue; I cannot upload my latest version of Better Vampires to the Nexus. I have tried multiple browsers, put in bug reports and help requests, checked all router options here, and nothing >< I am able to upload smaller files (around 1.5 MB) but I cannot get my main file (around 25 MB) to upload. I have even used Google Chrome to check uploading progress and it never gets past 0%. Has anyone else had this issue before? Any help is greatly appreciated!

So I've tweaked some other people mods (made night vision brighter; changed sex, looks of some NPCs; made FOOK compatible, and further improved an Outcast Collection Agent mod, etc.). Can I post them (just my changes, not their whole mod with my changes) on Nexus ? Are there some conditions ? Like I must ask author for permission ?

So i'm starting to make some armor and weapon mods for fun, iv'e recently been learning blender mainly just for fun. I was wondering about any rules regarding content from other games or movies and such. i've seen plenty of mods that add armor and weapons and things from other games and things, so to what extent is that ok? For example i've been borderlands 2 as Krieg and i'm really fond of him so I thought it would be pretty cool to make his gas mask for fallout new vegas and maybe his outfit. If i made the meshes and textures myself would that be ok to upload? or would it go against some rule or is that safe? (Just for nexus rules i'm not talking about any gearbox copyright laws or things like that ill end up looking that up on my own or trying to make some sort of contact with a gearbox employee.)

I have a mod made and ready to go, but as this is my first mod I don't really know what I am doing when it comes to working with Vortex; I have the files on my page (esp, nif, textures) and as far as I can tell everything should be working, however trying to download them via Vortex, it fails with the message "Server could not process this request. Maybe the locally stored info about the mod is wrong or the mod was removed from Nexus". This is occurring even after publishing my mod and reopening Vortex several times. Looking through how this process goes there isn't a lot of helpful information in terms of what files are needed and in what order or orientation in regard to file paths. My Vortex is also the latest version. Any and all help would be appreciated.

Hi all, just curious if anyone can answer this question. I plan to upload a Settlement Blueprint, and am wondering about how things work on the Nexus. So I'm at a point where you must credit people, and I realized as I was compiling a list of names of people who's mods I've used in the build, and found some mods I used are now hidden or just completely gone. With this in mind, I wanted to still upload, but since those mods are removed or hidden, is me uploading this mod or having requirements for the mods used, will this count as a strike towards "using assets without permission?"

Hello! So I have an issue.. I am trying to upload a both video & photo into Nexus Mods into my account. I have cool description, a pretty long one. I have set up everything right, but when I upload I get "'Error Image/Video not found"... What am I missing?

Hello, Nexus. Recently (about a week ago) got a warning and this made it so I was unable to upload. (This makes sense) It has been a week and I am able to upload...everything except .wav and sound files? Does anyone know how long this should last? I can upload files but not sound (I have a standalone radio mod that uses public domain radio tracks from archive.org) I have been unable to find an amount of time this should last. (When I try to upload I get the infinite upload glitch, never upload failed)

My suggestion is to allow individuals the ability to upload files, not just off of uploading from their personal computer, but off of shareable links, such as google drive. Why?: I am of the opinion that NexusMods server, wherever they are located, are subjected to throttling for file size over a specific amount, that or server simply just bogged down. This isn't bad per se, as Nexus have to accomadate for a large amount of people uploading simultaneously at any given time. However the user experience severely diminishes after staring at the upload bar not progressing past 1/2 cm every 30 minutes or so. This forces the the user to actively idle and wait, wondering if their file is actually uploading or the connection has been terminated (and wasted fruitlessly waiting for it to upload). So comes the ability to upload files based off shareable links. A prime candidate is google shareable link. Based off recent personal testing,I've uploaded two separate files; one onto Nexus the other onto Google Drive. The file size is 500mb, I am still in the process of uploading the file onto Nexus, and this is 30 minutes ago. I fear the upload bar is stuck above the letter "g" in Uploading.. (this is about 1/16 of the bar's progress). Google on the other hand, I was able to finish uploading within 4~ minutes of uploading. Assuming this suggestion is viable, I can simply share the google drive link and do other things; total time spent: 4~ minutes. Otherwise, do it the current way and spend 4-6 hours (if not longer). TL;DR: Please make this happen, this would be an absolute godsend to the users which wish to publish mods.

I'm finding it increasingly frustrating to make mod page banners. I can usually upload as many high-res screenshots as I want to the images tab, but whenever I want to try and make a banner, the size of the file is always too high. Usually, I'd try adjusting the resolution, but that's a fixed size as well, so I have to either compress it, or when that doesn't work, make artistic changes to the image itself. I don't like that compromise at all, and I'm wondering what happened to that banner crop function that allowed you to crop a banner to use out of an image.

This is the relevant quote in the guidelines. A bit of premise: The Creatures Community has been modding the Creatures series since the first game's release in 1996. Mods were hosted haphazardly on this and that Geocities homepage, and permissions were equally vaguely set. As you can imagine, many mods have been lost through the years, some surviving on community member's old cd roms and hard disks. As the largest remaining community website has succumbed (hopefully temporarily) to a software update, we've been moving to rehost mods on the Nexus, as a more stable solution. For now, we're sticking to everyone only uploading the mods they themselves have made, but there is so much stuff to save! Essentially, I'd like to know if there is any easement of the policy on "explicit permission" in regards to really old games, and I'd like to see how the matter has been dealt with by other very old communities. In some more detail: 1) many mods come with a readme stating "please do not reupload unless my site goes down and I cannot be reached". I would guess that those mods should be able to be rehosted without issue, so long as proper credit is given. 2) certain mods had no specified permissions, or have given informal permission on forums and sites that have been lost to the ages. Is there any chance these would be allowed to be uploaded, with clear attribution and a notice that the original author may contact the uploader at any time and request they be taken down? 3) we do not intend to upload mods that actually had a "no reuploading" policy. What do you guys think? Should there be some kind of time cutoff on option 2, like "only if the creator has not been seen in over 10 years" or such? Again, it would be great to see some examples of other ancient games on the nexus and how they have managed "orphaned" mods.
