Hello, this is the first time I'm switching from the LE to the SE. Which version should I download for most mods. Everywhere write different versions of AE and SE

Race Menu got an update recently, and we thought it was for SE, but our Mod manager shows AE. Is the AE version incompatible for SE? Thx.

Good evening, I'm not sure how to perform the upgrade, the version I have in my hands is 1.6318, and I saw in some videos that I must have 1.6.640 to be able to install mods, so how can I do this update from 1.6318, to: 1,6,640 ?

I just wanted to ask how safe it is to install mods at the moment. With patches, DLC, and official modding tools still on the way, I don't exactly want to accidentally bugger up a save file just by installing a mod that gives you new things for your settlement or changes certain values. This is my first time playing a Bethesda game as it is still actively being patched so I don't quite know the whole situation with mods and patches. If anyone could give me advice on this that would be nice.

Okay, i've looked this up and didn't find any help so i'm asking if anyone can help, My game has been CTD when i enter new area, for example, i'll open a door to a new area and it goes to the loading screen then just crashes, only things i've done that could of caused this is i installed the Unofficial skyrim patches all of them the DLC ones, i've deleted them already and the other thing i did was move some of my mods that i had on the steam workshop, i uninstalled the steam versions and unsub'ed then i downloaded the author's nexus version of the mod, the mods i switched over are, Static Mesh Improvement Mod, Enhanced Blood Textures, Apocalypse - Magic of Skyrim and Conjuration Madness. before i uninstalled the unofficial skyrim patches it was crashing and i thought that was the problem because i've had problems with the unofficial patches before but thought i'd give them another try, after i uninstalled the unofficial skyrim patches, i loaded a saved game i had before installing them but i'm still getting the CTD when loading new areas, if it one of the mods i switched over? i doubt it since i already had them downloaded but could be wrong. or is it that the unofficial patch changed/deleted something another one of my mods needed? any help would be appreciated. if needed i will list all my mods.

What is the latest version of Skyrim? I know I can load the game and from the player's screen, hit the ESC key and see the version in the lower left of the screen, but there may be times I want to know the version without starting the game first. Bethesda's Blog strangely enought doesn't actually list the latest version on it; or at least I have not been able to find a link that shows the version and release date. Could we either use this thread to post the latest version and release date, or point me to the right link/thread where it's readily avialble?
