When playing Skyrim, I realized that I couldn't use the Windows key, the Print Screen key, etc.I already set skyrim to borderless mode, but there was no change. Is there a mod or setting for this?

I always prefer to drive vehicles in cockpit view, prior to 1.5 patch the rain effect on car windshield and doors windows was really spectacular and looks so real, especially how neon lights look behind those wet windows. Sadly that awesome stuff has gone after 1.5 update. now when it rains there's a very degraded effect to none. No one is talking about this so decided to create a post, is there anyone able to restore that effect with mod or any other workaround.

I'd like to be able to fix up windows in existing structures in settlements like Sanctuary, and other places like Diners, outdoor Cinema server, etc. I know there are ways to do this with settlement mods - like carefully placing in new wall parts with included windows, etc. It seems incredibly fiddly. But I'm useless at settlement building. It would be cool to scrap broken glass in existing windows with a quick click, then click on a simple "glass sheet" in Workshop Menu and pop it into the empty window as a replacement. Job done, mate. (Bob the Builder would be proud). I'm not in Fallout 4 to create luxury condominiums, I'm shooting raiders, blowing up stuff, and eyeing up the ladies. My best settlements look like lean-to outdoor toilets with wonky doors. So repairing existing stuff quickly is meaningful. My apologies if this has been asked for before. I had a look but could not see it. If anyone knows of a mod that does exactly this, please do let me know. I do have most of the settlement mods.

Hello, my computer crashed a couple of times, so I had to reinstall windows and therefore all my games. Problem is, I didnt do a NMM backup, only saved all my folders on an extra hard drive. I still have a folder called "Nexus Mod Manager" full of '.zip's and '.7z' s of all the mods I had installed. The Mod Manager can't find/doesnt recognize them though. Is there a way to let NMM reinstall all my mods using that folder? I really hope there's a way to still save my game... Thanks in advance!

I haven't seen anyone that has this problem so decided to make a thread on it instead. Hello everyone, I know this question has been asked a lot, and I've done my fair share of research but wanted your guys' opinions as well. I recently bought a GTX1080 and an acer predator g sync 4K monitor to start jumping into 4K gaming (woot!). I've seen countless articles about the 4GB VRAM cap on Windows 10 so my question is, for a heavily modded visual skyrim with a lot of 2K/4K textures, Tetrachromatic ENB, running at native 4K resolution, do you think I can get away with running Skyrim on WIndows 10 or should I start all over on windows 7? I've heard people say that stability isn't that much different between the 2 OS's and others have said there is. Will RAM start to get in the way before VRAM at this point or is VRAM always more important? Thanks!

Hello, So I have a heavily modded skyrim game on windows 10 running with ENB,SKSE, SkyUI, and over 250 mods thus far. I have a GTX1080 with 8GB of VRAM so I'm hitting the ceiling with VRAM because im playing at 4K resolution with a lot of 4K textures. I partitioned my hard drive to be able to dual boot windows 10 and 7 and I am wondering if its possible to play the installation of skyrim that is on my windows 10 partition, on my windows 7 partition. Would doing this eliminate that DX9 cap on VRAM? Or do I need to somehow transfer my whole modded skyrim game, preferences, enb settings etc... to the windows 7 partition as well?

In my game I am unsure if it's a specific mod from something of mine but it makes some glass brighter and difficult to look through or it messes with what the outside looks like as if there is literally nothing outside or Bradbertons head jar is so bright only his hair is bright as well enough to see and you can barely see his face at all. I am just requesting a mod that overhauls all types of glass or perhaps just glass windows that make it look more realistic I tried searching for one that could be around and could not find any anywhere here is an example of how some windows / glass tends to look for me in my game..

So be patient with me haha im fairly noobish when it comes to modding. So I have several drives in my PC, my Boot (C:), my Games Drive (E:), the others are unrelated/unconnected to the issue. I have the game itself installed on my E drive along side with nexus mods manager and all the mods, but the fallout4.ini file is on my boot drive under documents. My problem is when I launch nexus mod manager it give me the warning that it couldnt find the fallout4.ini file, which i believe is caused by the two separated drives. Id like to keep the mods and the game on the separate drive for organizational reasons so if theres any way to do it please let me know, i might just be doing something dumb. Thanks!

Skyrim crashes before the bethesda logo and the error message is just the old "Skyrim as stopped working. Windows is checking for a solution to the problem" Possible causes: I uninstalled ApachiiSkyHair.esm, the optional file ApachiiFemaleHair.esp, and camillaredone.esp that required only ApachiiHair.esm Earlier today I installed Realvision ENB (performance edition) and Flora Overhaul. That's when the mod first stopped working but since then I have uninstalled both of them. I uninstalled ICBINAENB 3 manually because it didn't have the option to install/uninstall through NMM What I've tried to do: I have verified the integreity of gamecache through Steam Use LOOT to see if anythings wrong, but LOOT isn't showing any errors. I do know that it isn't an NMM issue because I tried started Skyrim through Steam instead of NMM/SKSE and it still didn't work. Yes, I do have SkyUI and SkyRE. I don't know how to post my load order without typing it up, so here it is in pictures: http://i.imgur.com/thbQDkV.png http://i.imgur.com/G1Yleow.png http://i.imgur.com/pMA8F0J.png http://i.imgur.com/d4I7Gy7.png http://i.imgur.com/A55Nifv.png http://i.imgur.com/ZP06Rtw.png Help!

Hey! as the title of this post says, I've been experiencing random crashes in this game since I went out of the vault, and it's getting pretty annoying. mods I have: Ambient WastelandCONELRAD 640-1240GNR enhancedHi-Res WeaponsNMC's Texture PackPipboy 3000 HD retextureFallout Stutter Remover 4.0.7Fallout Stutter Remover 4.1.36Updated Unofficial fallout 3 patchZan AutoPurge Crash ProtectorFallout 3 - Enhanced CameraRealistic WalkingFallout Street LightsComputer Specs: windows 8.1Intel Core i3-4350 3.60GHz8Gb of RAMGeForce GT 730I've tried all the fixes I could find: I've changed the fallout.ini file (bUseThreadedAI=1 and iNumHWThreads=2), I've also tried setting iNumHWThreads to 1I've applied the 4GB ram patch to the gameI've installed ENBoostI've changed d3d9.dll to a newer oneI'm using the borderless windowed modI've cleaned up all the DLCs using FOSEI've reached a point where all the only fix I find is the ini fix and I don't really know what to do, does anybody have any ideas?

Hey guys, so I took a break from Skyrim for a while and have recently come back to it after buying a nice new rig to play it with. I keep coming across random information about some new 4gb limit which appears to make my new GPU totally redundant (gtx 1080 8gb vram). Could anyone fill me in briefly on just what this limit is and point me in the direction of further information? I gather no workarounds have been found for it? In a Related note, after playing skyrim vanilla on windows 10 anyway I seem to get more hard crashes and ctd's than ever before regardless of this new limit so I'm beginning to wonder about the compatibility of win 10 and Skyrim altogether....Anyone else had any issues?

So i am a noob began modding my skyrim only 15 days ago. Till @ days ago it automatically started causing CTDs. First i thought it was due to the new mods i installed namely all the bijin mods. So i removed them . Problem still persists. LOOT shows no error either , is it a load order issue ? I also use Wrye Bash. HElP needed. Also P.S. should i try cleaning ITM s from the mods using TESVEdit ?

the window options for the vault pieces look to be backwards. especially the wired security glass one the wire frame bows inward instead of outward. also the vault door. although beth decided to make it this way its seriously flawed. the grab point is on the outside of the door rather than on the inside. means the door can be picked with the right tool to force said door open. this is more of an immersion issue than actual one since no one in fo has the brains to get a working vault door drill and load it on a flat bed to open said door. hell they can't even get cars to work again. yet some how manage to get flying vehicles to function again go figure.

Hello guys and gals! I am in dire need of assistance here. So, long story short is that I had to make a re-install of my PC a few days back, and before that I got into NMM and de-activated all my mods to save time later since Skyrim, mods and all that is not on my C:\ I did not re-install Skyrim at this point, but I did, however do that after I was done re-installing Steam. I started Skyrim via SKSE and got a CTD, started via launcher, same problem. Checked NMM to see it found my profile and downloaded mods (it did, still deactivated) Deactivated all my mods in both launcher and NMM (just Skyrim, DG, HF and DB esp's loading) and still CTD. So friends of Tamriel - have I maybe missed something, f&%"# up big time or can my beloved game be played once more? Any tips, ideas, sollutions are most welcome :D

Edit: nevermind, I fixed it & also found a workaround, took many hours though! See the fix here! http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/75950/? EDIT 2: I spent 9 hours total searching for this information & not finding it/getting it working myself/ as well as writing the guide for other users(which WORKED by the way) and the Nexus staff removed it, so thank them for their efforts. "Your file was breaching our terms of use and has been removed by micalov" "A member of our staff has removed your Allocate Memory Run As Many Mods As Your PC Can Handle Tutorial file for the following reason: misuse of file entry, gvigin two steps on something that is widely documented is not a file." EDIT 3: Most people likely have already read most of the other guides & tried crash fixes & enbs mentioned in them, I know I did before I ever even made this topic. This topic as well as my guide would have never been posted, had it been that easy to find. Considering you aren't able to see what was in the guide anymore since it was deleted by the Nexus staff, you may not realize that there was more information covered in it than what most other guides etc talk about, as well as the fact I was trying to make everything easily understandable & findable. In fact it was much more undertandable & straight to the point for specifically getting around the "Skyrim has failed to allocate memory" issue & issue of running as many mods as you want. For instance some people, of which I was one of them are using crash fixes & or ENB and still getting "Skyrim has failed to allocate memory" Some people use old ENBs, or have hundreds of mods, and they will see exactly what I'm talking about sooner or later. Which as far as I can see, is mentioned nowhere in any of the current guides. But I found a way around it in my guide. There are a few different options you can try to get around this which my guide was trying to explain. As well as the fact that it was trying to explain that if you meet the correct system specifications, you can run as many mods as you want as long as the mods don't conflict with eachother. And that my guide will help those who have Windows 7 or XP, and 32 & 64 bit editions, with more options for those with 64 bit.

I've removed every mod, plugin or Ini tweak I've made, but when I run SKSE and go through any loading screen Windows pops up with a message saying "Skyrim is not responding" after waiting around ten seconds the loading completes and the message disappears. It's not game breaking, but it's fairly irritating. My computer stats are more than reasonable for Skyrim (8 i7 Cores, N-Vidia GeForce GTX 745, 16GB Ram) I should probably also mention I'm using Windows 10. If I were to hazard a guess I probably have to alter some kind of property about SKSE in windows, but as to where or how I'd do it I'm completely lost. Thanks in advance for any feedback.

Hi there, first off, please forgive me if the question has been answered already, I couldn't find anything. I recently downgraded from Windows 10 to Windows 7 due to frequent problems. Before this I was running Fallout 4 with a couple of mods, managed by NMM. Fallout 4 is version 1.5.141.0.0 (Survival Beta). I recreated the same settings, using G:\Games\Nexus Mod Manager\Fallout4\Mods as my virtual install folder. Fallout 4 is located in G:\Steam\SteamApps\common\Fallout 4 After the change in NMM, I removed all mods and reinstalled them from the mainpage and activated them again. Now though when I launch Fallout 4 via NMM, the game tells me that the save relies on content that is no longer present (see screenshot attached) and will crash when trying to load anyway. All mods listed are installed and activated in NMM. I even tried deleting and reinstalling some, to no avail. Since I am in many ways a newb when it comes to modding and NMM, I hope there is an easy solution that I just couldn't find and I'm thankful in advance for any tips. Regards SoWhy

I was hoping that someone could please make a mod that puts clean glass in the Prydwen where Maxon hangs out, and outside the Prydwen in the control center towards the rear. It baffles me that this high tech airship would have windows that are so filthy that it would be almost impossible for anyone to be able to successfully navigate anywhere without crashing lol. Please help, I would totally do this myself and share it if I knew how to. Thanks. What do you guys think about this idea? I cant be the only one who wants to see this happen...

Hi, I've got Skyrim on Mac and I just want some basic NPC mods to start off with.. I've been trying all freaking day to add the mesh/texture files into the skyrim data file etc, it just isn't working and tbh, I don't know exactly what I'm doing. Ive got a version on mac, so it's obviously not as straight forward then it is on Windows, so i can't use the Nexus Mod Manager. I just want to install some basic mods for now, and to see that they work. I can see loads of mods that give you a custom character to use, instead of the default character as your main playable character, how can i install a simple mod that does that? Just want to install it, and then start new game or continue from my current save, all with my new character, and/or the new npc's!? Someone please help :-) (im trying to download bootcamp and windows 7, so hopefully soon i will have a proper version of skyrim and support for windows stuff) EDIT: Basically in short - Where/How can I download and install custom/already made characters, like custom race, etc. I've seen laods of characters on here that I would love to use as mine... Without having to use loads of tools and do stuff myself, becasue i dont have windows.
-
Just and idea (may have already been said before): Can you mod creators make it so that windows can be a craftable item? Also can you have them so that we can place them into self built buildings and the prewar ones such as sanctuary houses. This would be awesome because you can already find glass in-game why not be able to use it for windows. -Clear Glass windows -Sized windows(so if gap is big you can create a big window) -Good texture -Can be crafted as well as scrapped -Can be broken(if possible) -will fit and prewar settlement buildings Thank you, just wanted to see if it was possible because i cant seem to find a mod for this anywhere

LE Creation Kit Won't Create Quest
AurianaValoria1 posted a topic in Skyrim's Creation Kit and Modders
What it says on the tin. For some reason, I can't create quests. Anytime I click the "ok" button for the quest menu, I get no response out of the program. Is there a way to work around this or fix it?- 1 reply

Hello everyone, So, it's been some years since last having played Oblivion and I felt like playing it again. The thing is, when running the setup on the disc, the installer doesn't give me any options whatsoever. The setup launches, disappears and automatically installs the game on the C drive (default install location). All my other games are installed on an HDD because my C drive is located on a 64gb SSD with most of the space being occupied by the OS. Tried running it as administrator, same result. The last time I had it installed was on a computer running XP and as far as I can remember the setup worked fine so I guess it could be a compatibility issue. It's one of the earliest retail copies, without any of the dlc/expansions. Current OS is Win7. EDIT: It's not just Oblivion, but any setup that's on a disc/disc image it seems. Pretty strange.. EDIT2: Checked if the only other game I have a physical copy of (Borderlands) has the same problem, but that installer runs fine. Could it be an issue with Installshield Wizard?

Skyrim was working perfectly. Until I re-installed windows. Since then skyrim crashes every single time. Un-modded skyrim works perfectly...But modded one crashes..I've downloaded all the windows updates..So how to fix this?
