So I've made a couple of presets saved in Looksmenu, I was thinking of packaging these presets up and post it on Nexus for people to download. The thing is it doesn't work and my NMM is telling me when i add this mod that It's not able to add it. I've seen other presets on Nexus being succesfully downloaded with NMM without having to set their preset mods to "Manual Download" only, without needing people to drag and drop the .json file into the preset folder. Is it in the way they package their mod with a zip program which makes it work or is it when they upload it to nexus, nexus magically makes the zip file work in NMM? Any help would be appreciated!

Hello, First off, sorry about this blue highlight. idk how to get rid of it. Also, this is my first post so Im sorry if i put this in the wrong section of the forums. If I did, please let me know the proper place. Ok, I cant seem to find anything about my current issue on the web. One of those unique problems i guess. Anyway, I've never had any problems with NMM before. i know how to use it properly and its always been great. recently, however, Im unable to auto install anything with it. when i try, it says "A problem occured during install: The execution has failed due to the bug in the SevenZipSharp...The Mod was not installed" Ive tried un/reinstalling NMM. still does the same thing. Its been like this for a few months. Ive resorted to manual instal. And yes, some would say its better and if im being honest im starting to think so too. BUT there are some mods that are trickier than others and require auto install unless you know what you are doing. like the one im trying to install now: Scoped Bows. Any help is greatly appreciated. like i said, ive never been on the threads before so i hope i can hear from someone. Thank you for your time -Von

Please help me, I know everyone on this site is probably a computer genius and I'm aout as proficient with computers as I am with handling a 19th century gatling gun, but can someone help me with this problem... I'm trying to manually download a mod but keep on failing dismally. I have Nexus Mod Manager and know that once I've downloaded the mod, all i need to do is 'add file' then BAM, it's in my NMM mods file. Problem is, I DON'T KNOW WHAT THE HELL TO DO WITH THIS DOWNLOADED FILE OR WHY I CAN'T JUST ADD IT STRAIGHT FROM THE 'WINRAR' SCREEN! I don't know how to convert the Winrar file into something which can be 'added' to the NMM, and I've downloaded zip and whatever, but it's just infuriating. I am really sorry if this problem seems trivial, but believe me, I have spent THREE DAYS looking up to see whether anyone else on the internet has had the same problem as me, and I have concluded that I am literally the most inept users of computers ever. Any help at all which even a person terrified of computers could understand would e tremendously appreciated, many thanks!

Hello! Im in need of assistance! Im trying to modify a simple value in rpg_param.xml in the mod SuperHardcoreMode. However i ran into a problem, it seems that when i unzip the .pak and then zip it back up it no longer works no longer works. I tested this by: 1. dowloading the mod fresh from nexus. 2. unzip mod with 7-zip. 3. put it in the right folder. 4. Test so mod is working (it did). 5. exit game 6. Unzip the SuperHardcoreMode.pak file with 7-zip. 7. Make no change and zip it back up and renaming it to .pak. Tried creating .zip with both 7-zip and windows built in to create the zip file. 8. started game and mod no longer works. So i obviously have a problem with packing/unpacking. I made sure its actually .zip that i compress into. Could it be the settings is wrong in 7-zip? ill attach a screen shot of my default archive options for 7-zip. Anyone have an idea of what is wrong?

Hey i have a stupid question that most likely has been asked before by another modding noob. When installing mods after i extract the files into a folder, they usually come with a folder that says the mods name then inside a folder that says data. inside that is all the mesh folders, texture folders etc. My question is a lot of mods have the same named folders and if i extract them it replaces the folders i already extracted so am I supposed to keep it in the original folder? example is "Modname/data/textures" which folder do i extract from? also another question i had is if a folder has "loose files" AND esp/esm files do i still throw the esp/esm files in the main data folder or keep em grouped with their asset folders? And one last question is what do I do with the ba2 files? do i also drag them right in like the eps/esm files?
