37 Weeks

Image
I'm 37 weeks pregnant and headed to Maternal Fetal Medicine at the hospital to attempt to turn this baby today.  I had to be fasting for 8 hours in case they had to take the baby via C-section today.  That was probably the hardest part!  My mom and Trent came down to watch the boys so Montana could come with me.  We started with an ultrasound.  During this ultrasound, the doctor saw the umbilical cord on the right side of the neck, the left side of the neck, and across the back of the neck.  He couldn't get a view of the front of the neck due to the way the baby is laying.  He basically concluded that we would not be able to turn the baby due to the cord.  It could be wrapped completely around the baby's neck or just draped but he wasn't going to take any chances.  So, he had us do a non-stress test (NST) to make sure the baby was okay.  Everything was normal during the NST and we got sent on our way!  And I was able to eat!  The doctor wants me to have weekly NSTs and follow up with my doctors.  We will most likely come back at 39 weeks to attempt to turn again and deliver on the same day.  Such an adventure!

Christmas 2012

Montana had to work this Christmas so I decided to head to my parent's house on Sunday, the 23rd.  We also decided to open our presents from Grandma Randee and Allen before church that day.  The kids thought it was so fun to be able to open presents before Christmas!  We all got tons of fun stuff and we are so grateful for the presents.

After church, we ate dinner, loaded the van, and I took off with the kids to my parent's house.  We were glad that we traveled on Sunday because a big snow storm came in on Christmas Eve.  It was great cause then we had a white Christmas.  On Christmas Eve, all of my siblings and their families came over to my parent's house and we had a party.  We ate dinner and pie, opened presents from each other, and played our traditional game of White Elephant Bingo.  It was lots of fun and lots of chaos!

Montana was driving up after work on Christmas morning so I had to keep the kids occupied until he got there.  My mom and I decided to make the kids breakfast and then they got to eat it in the laundry room.  They thought that was quite fun!  In the process of making breakfast, my mom accidentally dropped the eggs onto the floor.  We got quite the laugh out of that one!

The kids were so excited that Santa left them a note!

And then Montana showed up and we started our present opening.

Montana had to go home that night and back to work but I stayed for a few more days with the kids.  Montana came back up on Friday to go duck hunting with my uncle and then we had the Wall Family Christmas Party on Saturday evening.  It was a good week to be able to sit back and relax.  But we were ready to be home by the end!

Music Share Day

Today, Mason's class had a music share day during Music class. He decided he was going to play the piano. He played a song that they have learned in Music class and he has figured out how to play on the piano. He did such a great job!

Ward Christmas Party

During our Ward Christmas Party, the Primary children sang a song. Mason and Peyton both got up and sang. Mason has a hard time getting up in front of people and doesn't like to sing for things like Mother's Day and Father's Day. But he did it and we are so proud of both of them!

Christmas Card 2012

Merry Christmas! It has been a very busy and exciting year in the Page household this year.

Tanner is a VERY happy and active two-year old. He is learning so much every day and talks non-stop. He loves running around with his brothers and getting into anything and everything that can get him into trouble.

Peyton started kindergarten this fall and loves going to school. He is a happy little five-year old and is like a little sponge that won’t stop soaking up information. He loves to sing and dance and pretty much do whatever his brothers do.

Mason turned seven this year and started the second grade. He is extremely smart and talented. He started taking piano lessons this year and is doing amazing. His favorite song to play is the “Star Wars” theme song. He is loving life and can't wait to be baptized in May.

“Baby Boy Number Four” will be making his debut sometime in the middle of January and is active and healthy.

Melanie is an amazing mom and wife. She is currently serving in our ward Young Women program as the Beehive advisor. She is teaching piano lessons to a few kids in the ward and loves what she does. She is a wonderful example to everyone she comes in contact with.

Montana is busy as well. He is still working at Provo Canyon School with boys that need a little “direction” in their lives. He loves what he does and enjoys working with those he can influence for good. He keeps busy with his many hobbies and with his church calling as a ward missionary.

We had a lot of amazing experiences that blessed our lives and brought us closer to our Father in Heaven and our Savior, Jesus Christ. May we all remember the true reason we celebrate this time of year. Have a very merry Christmas and an amazing new year.

Happy Holidays!!!

Gingerbread Houses

I think it's safe to say that we have a tradition of making gingerbread houses with the kids before Christmas. This is the second or third year in a row that we have done them. Mason and Peyton loved decorating and creating with the candy. And Tanner loved eating the candy!

34 Weeks

I am 34 weeks and can't believe that some time in the next 6 weeks, we will have another little one in the house. I am starting to get uncomfortable....migraines, back pain, Braxton Hicks, etc. I can definitely tell I'm at the end. The clothes are washed and hung, waiting for this little one to arrive. We just need a few more items and we will be completely ready!

Peyton's Christmas Concert

This year, the Kindergartners put on a Christmas Concert for their families. They practiced every day for a few weeks. Peyton would walk around the house singing the songs. He was so excited to perform for us. He did a wonderful job and we are so proud of him!

Busy Holiday Season!

The first Saturday of December and we have tons of stuff going on! We started the morning with the HopeKids movie of the month - The Rise of the Guardians. It was such a good movie! The boys did really well through the entire thing. It helps that they supply popcorn and a drink for each kid.

Then we had a little bit of time to kill so we headed to the big new sporting goods store in SLC called Scheels. It was really awesome! And really crowded! But we had a great time and really enjoyed taking pictures at all of their photo ops!

After Scheels, we headed to the Make A Wish Christmas Party with Santa. They had cookies and hot chocolate, crafts, games, and Santa even visited. We went upstairs to see Santa and Peyton kept telling him what he wanted for Christmas. We got a cute picture and then headed into the wishing room to see it again. The kids got to each pick a prize and we were able to wander around the grounds as well.

When the party was over, we headed over to Laurel's house and had pizza with her and visited. It was nice to relax and visit. We were going to see the lights on Temple Square but that will have to wait for another weekend.
