Request #1: The Eagle - The Eagle of the Ninth | Marcus/Esca
There aren't enough AUs in this fandom, especially stripper AUs (HELLO, have you seen Magic Mike, I MEAN REALLY). Anything where Marcus and Esca are rivals would be amazing, and if you're feeling generous I'd even beg for a college frat boy AU (RIVAL FRATS WHERE EACH HAS TO DEFEND THEIR HONOR omg why aren't more of theeeeese sob). I'm also a huge fan of porn...lots of porn. Marcus being dumb and not knowing what he wants. Esca being smart and knowing how to give it to him. I don't necessarily need one or the other topping, just Esca being in control (that being said, Esca being a dominant bottom is GLORIOUS AND WONDERFUL). Voyeurism is A+++++. I'm not squeamish about violence if you want to keep them in canon, but I definitely need a happy ending. No unrequited stuff or character deaths, please!

Request #2: Killjoys | Johnny/Alvis
So if you've paid attention to the show's season finale, you maaaaay have picked up on some weird tension with Johnny and Alvis--I mean, Johnny's wearing Alvis' robes, right?? AND KNOWS ALL THE RIGHT BLESSINGS BECAUSE HE FOLLOWED ALVIS AROUND. Basically what I'm saying is, I ship it and would like some kinky, struggling-with-religion-versus-the-desires-of-the-flesh-type stuff. A side of Dutch and D'avin working their shit out would be great, too, although they don't have to be romantically involved if you don't feel so inclined. I'm not picky on settings; AU or canon, post-season finale or whatever, go nuts!

Request #3: Check Please! | Bitty/Jack
I am a junkie for jealousy and can't get enough of what Bitty's reaction could have possibly been a) to seeing Parse come out of Jack's room all disheveled and b) Jack's subsequent meltdown. IT'S SO DELICIOUS. I desperately need some kind of get-together with Jack and Bitty (preferably porny if possible) where Bitty wants so badly to know more about Jack's history with Parse but can't quite ask. Maybe he gets more details from Shitty and the others, or maybe he does his own research. Either way, Bitty struggling with his feelings and jealousy would be MOST excellent. And kissing, of course. Lots of kissing. And cupcakes.

I HAVE A MASTERS DEGREE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I gave my final presentation for my MBA last night with flying colors. I could not have asked for things to go any better. I presented a business plan that I (along with three others) have literally been working on for nearly two years to a panel of four professionals--three business faculty and one outside business guy. IT WAS GREAT! I mean, lol, not that I'd do that every day because fuck that, but in terms of how smoothly everything went and how the panel reacted to everything, I'm ecstatic. I cried when they came back from deliberation and said told us congratulations, we now have our MBAs. :DDDDDDDDDDDD

(If you're wondering, the business is a drive-thru liquor store. NO, we are not starting this irl, we're SICK OF TALKING ABOUT LIQUOR STORES, LOL.)

Commencement ceremony is a week from tomorrow. In the meantime, I am going to DRINK and READ FIC and WRITE FIC and NOT WORRY ABOUT FUCKING SCHOOL EVERY AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! \o/

It's New Year's Day here, which means Yuletide reveals! LOL I can't believe I ended up writing what I did, since this fandom was totally a last-minute, spur-of-the-moment addition that I didn't actually think I'd end up getting ahahaha. Behold, my Bee and Puppycat fic!

One Last Thing

This was MUCH HARDER TO WRITE THAN I THOUGHT. It's not easily going off of 15 minutes canon that is deceptively complex. I took some liberties with Puppycat's backstory, obviously, and uh, I gave him a name! Anywho, Yuletide was a TON OF FUN, and I don't know why I haven't done it before!

As for my Yuletide gift fic, I got TWO!!

- Now Again a Beloved Son by sevenses, which is 27k (!!!) of canon AU Captive Prince fic (!!!!!!!!!!!!). YES YOU READ THAT RIGHT. This fic looks at what would happen if Damen hadn't killed Auguste on the battlefield at Marlas. Gorgeous, complex, and complete in keeping with Damen's canon voice. The bromance between him and Auguste is worth reading alone. This story was an embarrassment of riches, let me tell you.

- extreme songs that told me by Siria, a short, sweet Bourne Legacy character study of Aaron and the insecurities he carries. ♥

I am still making my way through the massive list of stories, but here is a rundown of some really, really great stuff I've managed to find:

- Two Princes by Signe (Captive Prince canon fic, immediately follows the events of book 2)
- Little Murders by Destina (L.A. Confidential, Bud White/Ed Exley fic that's so sharp and painful it'll make your heart bleed)
- Wherever You Go by Alby_Mangroves (The Eagle, Marcus/Esca, follows canon to a point and then takes an interesting turn. Love, love, LOVE the Esca inner monologue here. On a separate note, I'm bummed there were only two Eagle fics written for Yuletide this year.)
- Till China and Africa Meet by Signe (SERIOUSLY, there were FIVE Captive Prince fics written this year and I recommend every damn one of them!!)
- Postbellum by FaustianAspirant (again, more amazing Captive Prince fic. The Laurent voice here is just heartbreakingly perfect.)
- Lines in Palms by Fahye (this is another Captive Prince canon AU, only this one is told from Laurent's POV and it's so good I could die.)

Statistically speaking, sophomore scholarship jocks majoring in criminal justice didn’t normally hook up with senior dean’s list fraternity vice-presidents who tutored them in stupid psychology courses. Clint's odds were running painfully long.

Written for Feelstide 2013: College AU: Clint has harbored a thing for Phil since freshman year, but hasn't said a word...until one fateful frat house Christmas party, which just so happens to be Phil's fraternity. Drunken kisses are a plus, especially if there is mistletoe involved.

Hiya, LJ.

So, thanks to a few great fandom peeps, I've decided to try and write an original novel for this publisher, specifically for their "Coming of Age" genre. There are open calls for YA LGBT short stories, but, ahahaha, the idea I came up with is going to be WAY LONGER THAN 12K. I'm honestly super, super excited about it, because seriously, me getting paid to write high school AUs IRL? WHY NOT?

I don't want to say I'm putting fanfic on hold in the new year; I don't think I will, necessarily. I still want to work on "Copper" and "Bylines", but I also want to tell the story of Jake Abbott, who definitely isn't gay and definitely isn't into Carson Green, who moves back to town after six years and suddenly isn't the scrawny little blond kid Jake remembers. He's still scowly and sharp with Jake--he clearly remembers Jake picking on him as kids, even though their parents made them walk to the library together for summer reading program--but then there's the issue of Carson now being five inches taller than Jake and built like an athlete (Carson would rather die than play team sports, however; the son of a bio-chem professor mother and a pharmaceutical salesman father gets into science stuff early on). Jake doesn't have crush, though. He's too busy being a star baseball player and pretending that he doesn't have leather-bound journals full of writings for his future novel, or that he doesn't love to read all the books stacked in his room. Carson still thinks Jake's that cocky kid he grew up with, and Jake wants to keep believing Carson's just a dweeby nerd who hates him.

So...there's that. I think that is a story I would like to write. And read. :D?
