I've gone completely friends only now except for fanfiction, of course! Major friends cut done. It's nothing personal. Mostly cut people I don't have ANYTHING in common with, people who haven't been active in fandom/livejournal for a few years and people who would be upset if I talked freely about things they loved that I do not.
If you are here for fanfic, don't worry about it! FANFIC IS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AND WILL STAY THAT WAY. I might eventually transfer all fic to a soon-to-be-coming fic journal, possible, but for the mean time, it's here.
I lead a boring life so all other posts are probably that OR my overly flailing squeeing of random fandom crap but if you feel we have lots in common and want to be re-added (or added!) just leave a comment in this post.

I haven't written anything that was purely for me in months. I've written papers for school of course, this being my last couple of semester, it's a given but nothing for the pure joy of writing.
I don't know if that's because I'm too tired from work, taking care of Papi, AND school or simply the fact that I have no inspiration because I'm not currently shipping ANYONE.
Don't get me wrong. I still ship my previous ships. Those don't change of course. Once a shipper pretty much always a shipper. But none of my ships are currently around to inspire me to write more, you know? And the ones I AM reading aren't ones I write in: Sherlock/Star Trek/Merlin. (Them some intimidating fandoms to write for let me tell you...)
So what is a shipper to do?
The remedy to this is probably not what I've done which was to join one of the Big Bangs going on. Forcing my writing doesn't always help but the thing is --
I feel I WANT to write.
Maybe I'm due for a rewatch of a few shows to inspire me to finish the zillion and one stories I've left hanging. Nobody reads them anymore but I've never written them for others (though I LOVE having people enjoy them!) and I feel very incomplete right now as a writer.
Anyway, I just wanted to say it out loud so maybe my conscious mind won't block me from getting SOMETHING written. \O/
So this new LJ layout is...weird. It's weird, right? It's not necessarily a bad thing persay or anything because they gotta keep up with the changes elsewhere but -- yeah, it's weird, lol.
I know I said I was going to be around more but unfortunately school is kicking my ass (just two semesters before I graduate!) but good and then I had a couple of deaths in the family within weeks of each other. It's kept me offline and busy.
However, there are no classes in session, my grief is easing a bit (I still miss my grandmother like the dickens), and I have some free time so I figured I'd pop in and say hello. Also thought I'd give that writing thing a try while I have time so --- yeah. :)
New year, new layout and it feels like maybe some new resurgence of fandom love for me. Now, for anyone that is still around and being active, HAI! HAI! HAI! If we have loved a previous fandom together than chances are I probably still love it but may not be uber active in it.
