In March we had a super "Lego" themed baby shower for Natalie.  We invited friends and neighbors.

Natalie was very blessed by the support of so many good people that have crossed paths with her since childhood through college.  It was like a reunion in a way.  So many came and stayed.  We all had fun.

I don't understand why my computer won't upload some real cute pics of Kollyns on New Years.  Oh well, Here is H. bug with Uncle Clint and a picture of our favorite "Las Vegas Steaks" from Dons Meats in Syracuse.  They are yummy.  The chicken is delicious as well.  We had a few friends over and our kids crashed the party.  They were invited !!  JK children.  It was fun and lively.

My creative side

This!!   My first attempt at a tri-fold shuffle card.  I embossed the labels, used some embellishments from my WeRMemory keepers stash and them tried to match the name using some old rub on letters I had lying around.  It is a fun design and I think I'll make it again.

Happy 1st Birthday H. Bug

Yesterday we celebrated Miss H Bugs 1st birthday.  Wow, that year went by very quickly.  Mom chose a pink and yellow theme.  She made her cupcake birthday cake with a bug on top.  Very Cute!  Miss H has not had sugar all year so her first few tastes of the cake were fun to watch as her eyes got bigger each time as she put that sweet, fluffy frosting into her mouth.  She was very dainty as she ate some of her cake.  After everyone had left Grandpa let her grab two licorices and a pink lemonade cookie with marshmellow frosting.  She devoured it all.  I don't believe Mom and Dad had much sleep.  I think Miss H was on a sugar high.

Yum, I think I like this sweet taste.

Prayer

I believe and have a strong testimony in prayer.  Recently  a family member had lost her wedding ring.  She and her husband had been to Target and walked around the store and through the parking lot.  When she came home she noticed that her ring was missing.  She had called the store and they told her she would have to keep calling back to see if someone had turned it in.  They would not go look for it.  She indicated that she prayed and fasted to find her ring.  The next morning they went looking and found the ring, out in the open, on the ground.  Do I think Heavenly Father had a part in this?  Yes I do.  I believe with all my heart that he is aware of the very details of our lives.  He chooses what prayers to answer or gives us the inspiration to find what we  want or need.  A comment was made by another person that they highly doubted that God had anything to do with it.  He is too busy taking care of bigger things.  I disagree.  He gives to each of us those things that matter.  If our children come to us and they are upset at losing a stuffed animal, do we as parents do all that we can to help them find it?  We may search, look everywhere with no luck.  However, we can teach them to say a prayer.  Heavenly Father even helps little children find stuffed animals.  He teaches them through their experience that no matter how trivial,  they can turn to a higher power and he will be there to answer their prayers.  They learn to exercise faith in him, they are blessed and when more troubling times come further down the road of life, they can rely on what they learned and felt before and use it to help them in whatever problem they might face.

I realize that some prayers are not answered in the way we want, but I have faith and know that Heavenly Father answers all of our prayers at the right time, for the right reason and when it is for our best good.   I believe this, I know this to be true.  He is a father who loves all of his children.  I love him and I am eternally grateful for my own personal experiences that I have with the power in prayer.

Fall Photo

Image
well this was a draft I found in my files....this is for you Wendy!!

grrr

Okay here I am already to update this blog with some cute pictures of my grandkids and apparently I am so behind the times that my usual links to my computer/storage are not where I think they should be and therefore I cannot access photos of my kids...no I do not want to put them on picasso whoever, they are not uploaded from my phone, they are on my hard drive.  So this fifty something brain couldn't find where to retrieve them.  Do you sense a bit of irritation on my part?  Yes sirreee, I'm frustrated.  I had no problems before.

Today, tonight, the past week has been stressful.  I am using this as my outlet to let it out.  Enough...
I am tired.  I don't really want to get into details, it's just the way I am.  I will figure out why I feel and think the way I do.  Don't go and tell me to take a pill for it...I already am and frankly I'm tired of them too.  What am I supposed to learn?  Well, my dad told me 30 years ago, patience.  I didn't follow that to well all of these years.   Patience?  Good thing Heavenly Father has loads of it.  He gets me and is my solace when my emotional war is raging at it's worst.  I turn to him for peace.  It doesn't always happen right at the moment, but there are seconds, minutes during the day when it is there and reminds me that I'm not alone.  This is not a feel sorry for me kinda post.  Just felt good to write it down for future reference.

Our sunday school teacher is from Australia.  Loved he and his family ever since they moved into our neighborhood.  He is so down to earth, well below....it is wonderful and refreshing.  No pretenses with him.  He is so casual and funny.  However, when he teaches class he comes across as Hugh Nibley and I feel like a Dr. Seuss.  I guess that is what happens when you serve most of your adult life in one organization and you teach the basics of the gospel over and over.  I am not a deep doctrinal type thinker.  It is so above my head.  Remind me to not try and make any more comments where the teacher just looks at you and stares, thanks you for the comment and tries to make it go with what he is presenting.  Feel like an idiot?  Yep, but I keep going because if anything I feel the spirit there and that is most important to me.

Well enough of this.  I will remind myself that I matter, my existence is important, and most of all...this too shall pass.....

Happy 2013

Cheer, cheer for a New Year!!  Happy New Year to everyone.  I have some catching up to do with my blog as well as posting some pictures of our darling grandchildren. Sorry children, ( fab..five.)..you count in our lives but your little ones are so much fun at this stage in life that we tend to focus on them more. Anyhow, with some luck and extra time this weekend...(or if my husband would get off the laptop!) I will update you all on the happenings of the Noslrac family.

Kollyns

Kollyns arrived on Aug. 3, at 5:51 pm.  She weighed 7 lbs 7 oz and was 19.5 inches long.  Kallee is doing better after having her c-section.  Grandpa and Grandma are loving her!!  We are very fortunate that 4 out of 5 of our children live close by.  We are blessed, very blessed indeed.  Below are pictures from the hospital and with her cousin H. Bug aka Chunky Monkey.
