Into the Frey (Week 4)

Hey Frosties This is week 4, nothing much to update other than "What's after CVAP" This was todays topic, what happens after CVAP? Now I don't want to spoil the surprise but the discussion was more about our graduation of the program and what comes after it.  Reflection: Given that after the graduation we will be given numerous opportunities to be a part of the program I felt as though it is a very heavy investment to be successful. To spend money on better equipment, renting out different studios and the missed opportunity not being in manila for their auditions. Safe to say that it intimidated me and made me slightly demotivated. I had some conversations with the other mentors as they instructed me that there are more opportunities to be a part of than those discussed and require no such investment. This made me feel at ease and less intimidated of the price tag and more passionate about the art form. And so far that all as to what I can say. Ill be doing another b...

Into the Frey (Week 3)

Heylow Frosties Its a me! Frey! So week 3 was quite a week for me was heavy.  I just want to keep this short and concise. Week 3 consists of voice care and and maintenance; things like avoiding sugar and alcohol because they affect your voice by stressing it.  It made me imagine being in a shoes of a famous singer, what's their routine like? What does their diet consist of? Having this in hindsight made me see realize that it is practical for them to maintain the routines like warming up, warm water and salt gargling. The voice is such a valuable asset and I'm just scratching the surface of my potential in this field EGO RANTS: Imagine if I do take care of myself; Good food, treating my vocal chords well and a meticulously planned sleep and rest pattern with peak vocal training. How good can my voice be? How far can I push it? How many characters can I be?  Just a few seeds of wonder for ya!  Stay cool Frosties!

Into the Frey (week 2)

Hey low my Frosties. its me again! Doing my week 2 blog to update you guys on what I've learned in CVAP.  Recap from last week I  mentioned that during week one it was about how people got just the basic insights as to why you want to pursue voice acting. This week was a deep dive on the technical aspects ranging from the technical aspects to harnessing your raw talent.  Mind-melting is what all the words I had for that day, the lack of sleep and the full on weight of todays lesson was not exactly the optimum choice for me to go with.    Facing the class is its own challenge due to my lack of sleep but going back on track to topic, we were tasked to learn the technical aspects of voice acting, Id want to divide in 2 categories; Technical and Talent. I use technical because it focuses on the hardware of the user, it ranged from the necessary mics, software and  audio interfaces. I was nearly overwhelmed with the lesson with the hardware alone because prior t...

The Challenge of life (motivational poem)

At times when you're in trouble  It is sometimes hard to resolve But don't feel dull Tis in reality not hard to solve And yes! Life is hard  But don't give up  You still have a fighting card your issue is just a warm up There are more challenges to face Than meets the eye  But in this case You can't just give up and cry Sometimes life can be a hassle  But who would care? Life's a long battle  And no time to despair For every problem that you meet Is an opportunity made for you  But don't stand in defeat  Because this is your cue Yes this world is cruel  And that is all true  But that doesn't mean you cant be cool Because this is my advice I would give to you...

Into the Frey (Week 1)

Hi my name is Frazier and welcome to my blog! This is my first time doing this so let me start by introducing myself... Who am I? My full name is Dylan Frazier S. Beamish and I'll keep my age a mystery for a while. I like to go to the gym, play board games and am a very introverted person. This blog space about me is to document my growth and thoughts as I forward my life as time moves on. I recently joined a program titled CVAP, which prompted me to make this blog and I really enjoyed it. Why I joined is more so a long story but the simplest way I can say is that I'm hoping to increase my confidence socially and get some tips on how to be a voice actor or voice over artist. I've always admired voice artists with the characters they embodied thru out the years. Like Tara Strong and how she literally became the voice of my childhood taking characters like Ben Ten, Timmy Turner and Bubbles. I thought if they could do it... Maybe someday I can reach there. Fast forward to to...
