Most of the art in Thailand reflects the Buddhist Religion or the Royal Family.  There are exceptions though, which you should be able to pick out among the pictures I have posted.

I am still wondering around in old pictures.  This is me and one of my best friends in, I am guessing, around 3rd Grade :)  We lived in the same neighborhood, and went to the same grade school.  My family moved, so we went to different Junior High and High Schools, then back together again in college.  Sadly she passed away years ago, but I am still in touch with her younger brother (who was the bane of our existence when we were neighbors, Ha!).  Amazing how things change over time.  

So hoping you are all thinking positively about 2026.  Many things will need to change in the USA if 2026 is going to be a good year ... fingers crossed!

Friday Face Off    

New Years Day is my Father's Birthday, so it seemed fitting to pull up his picture along with my Mother who was always at his side.   My father was a professor at the University of Illinois and my mother was an OB nurse at Carle Clinic and Hospital.  But most of all they were kind (though strict), loving parents.

 

My parents have been gone since the 1990's, but they live in my heart every day.  I was blessed with wonderful parents and a joyful childhood.  So I am starting my new year out with a word of Thanks for all that they did for me.

Snow 

 

 There is nothing whiter than snow and it is the one thing about winter that I love.  I have endless number of pictures of snow, these being just a sampling.  We have had snow on the ground for several weeks now and I am loving it.  Sad that we don't have any youngsters to build snowmen or Izzi to romp in the snow ... she loved the snow more than any other time of year.   I am frantically trying to put together our Christmas.  I never seem to get it done on time ... hope you are ready and have a wonderful, warm, family filled Christmas :)
