Route: (Western Cebu Coast) Santander to Bogo City via Ginatilan, Samboan, Malabuyoc, Alegria, Badian, Moalbal, Alcantara, Ronda, Dumanjug, Barili, Aloguinsan, Pinamungahan,Toledo City, Balamban, Asturias, Tuburan, Tabuelan, San Remigio

48 hours, 5:00 AM June 14 – 5:00 AM June 16, 2013

Cutoff  Times

Stage 1: ~ 141 Kilometers, Toledo City Gymnasium, 28 hours (28:00:00, 9:00 AM June 15, 2013)

Finish Line Cutoff: ~250 Kilometers, 48 hours (48:00:00)

ENTRY REQUIREMENT

Participant must have officially finished at least two 100-kilometer (or longer) races in the last 24 months prior to the event date (JUNE 14, 2011 – JUNE 14, 2013)

Registration: (Up to June 3, 2013) PLEASE FOLLOW DEADLINE STRICTLY. This is to allow for proper preparation time for items due all participants.

REGISTRATION PROCEDURE

  1. Please deposit registration fees to Constante C Mendoza Jr BPI 2379-0362-39
  2. Scan and email deposit slip (write name and shirt size) to frontrunnermag@gmail.com SUBJECT: S2N 250
  3. Please do NOT post on my facebook wall.

 

RACE DETAILS:

  1. Pre-race briefing and collection of pre-race packets will be held at 11:00 AM, June 13 at a place to be announced.
  2. Registration Fee: 5,000.00 Php (Inclusive of race bib, pre-race meal, event shirt, finish line meal. For OFFICIAL FINISHERS ONLY: Finisher’s buckle 
  3. Mandatory gear: (must be worn at the appropriate times) Reflective vests, flashlights/headlamps, fully-charged and loaded cellphones. Runners not wearing same will be penalized with 1-hour additional time.
  4. Race bibs MUST be worn in FRONT at all times. Any other way bib is worn (or absence of such) will merit an outright 1-hour time penalty that will be added to the time of the runner.
  5. All participants are encouraged to use recyclable water and food containers and to dispose of all wastes properly. Any report of improper disposal will merit an outright 1-hour time penalty that will be added to the time of the runner.
  6. Race bibs must be worn at all times during the race.
  7. At no time and distance are pacers allowed.
  8. All support vehicles must be properly marked with runner’s name. This must be visible from the driver’s side and back.
  9. All participants and support crews are encouraged to conduct themselves in a civilized manner. Avoid playing loud music or making noise especially during nighttime and in areas where there are residents.
  10. There will be a 28-hour (28:00:00) cutoff  in front the Toledo City Gymnasium. Runners not able to meet this cutoff will be considered DNF and no longer be allowed to continue.
  11. All runners are to stay on the left side of the road (facing traffic) at all appropriate times.
  12. All support vehicles must follow existing traffic rules in each locality and must be parked properly when aiding a participant, with blinkers and headlights on.
  13. Participants are allowed leave the course for any reason, provided the support crew will note the exact location with a marker (to include race number and name) visible to other participants and race officials. Participant must resume the race from the said marked point.
  14. In support of the environment, bicycles are encouraged for use as support vehicles.
  15. All runners are to attend to their personal necessities in the most decent way. In the absence of houses or public restrooms, everyone is encouraged to do their thing with the general public as their main consideration.
  16. This is an open roads race so everyone must be cautious and careful when crossing intersections.
  17. It is the responsibility of the runners to know the race route. Time lost will not be deducted from racing time. Every single inch of the route must be covered on foot. In the occurrence of a runner taking a wrong direction, he/she may take a ride back to the exact spot where he/she missed the correct turn and continue running.
  18. There will be NO aid stations along the route. Runners are allowed to buy food/drinks at any point of the course.
  19. All runners must contact the Race Director should they decide to declare themselves DNF. They must include distance covered and time of withdrawal. This is to properly account for participants still in the contention.
  20. The race will officially close after 48:00:00 hours after the commencement of the event. Only the time reflected with the timer of the Race Director is recognized as the official time.
  21. Protest/s must be made within one hour of the event’s conclusion and must be accompanied by a sworn statement together with documentary evidence (video or picture). Absence of one requirement will make protest void.
  22. While every reasonable precaution will be undertaken by the organizers to ensure the participants’ safety, it is understood that the participants are fully aware of the risks involved, run at their own risk and the organizers and/or sponsors shall not be responsible for any injury, liability or death arising from training or occurring during participation in the race.
  23. Participants are responsible for their support crew and vehicle.
  24. A participant must retire from the race if required to do so by any member of the medical staff.
  25. Once registration is accepted, there will be no entry fee refund for participants who, for whatever reason, do not eventually take part in the race. Likewise, the will be no entry fee refund if the event is cancelled or postponed on account of force majeure or for other causes beyond the control of the race organizers.
  26. The organizers reserve the right to use any photographs, motion pictures, recordings or any other media recordings for any legitimate purpose including commercial advertising without giving monetary consideration to the participant.
  27. The Race Director may, at any time, modify race rules and guidelines before, during or after the event, and the official race route for the benefit of the participants.
  28. The Race Director’s decision is final.
