2015 Mount Ugo Trail Marathon
February 22, 2015
Kayapa, Nueva Vizcaya, Philippines
Congratulations to all the participants of the 2015 Mount Ugo Trail Marathon!
Thank you very much for making it a success once again and for making it to date the most-attended. And thank you to those who keep coming back and making the event a part of their annual pilgrimage to the mountain trails.
To the first-timers, welcome to the beautiful world of trail running. I hope that you have already discovered more for yourselves during the many times of difficulties and in your solitary moments when there is nothing but silence and the wide-open vista.
To those who did not make it, do not sulk. Instead, hold your heads up, learn your lessons well and come back stronger and wiser. There is no shame in defeat, it is but temporary.
There are no words to express my deepest appreciation to everyone but please accept my most sincere gratitude on behalf of the schoolchildren of the beneficiary schools.Thank you very much, Climb Against Cancer Pilipinas led by Ms. Nini Sacro and her hardy bunch of volunteers, and the donors.
Thank you to our event supporters and partners, Universal Robina Corporation, MILO, SMART Communications, Sport Resources Inc., Superfood Grocer, Cordillera Conservation Trust, Ms. Che Alberto and Mr. Dennis Uy.
Thank you to Team frontRUNNER event volunteers – Nick Pasiken, Robert Watson, Tom and Gay Baniwas and Brian Guleng.
And finally, thank you to the Municipalities of Kayapa and Itogon, Barangay Tinongdan and the local folks for opening their homes once again to all the visitors. Mabuhay kayong lahat!
