Thanks, Franjo. I'll be training with you again in other subjects.
Big hugs.
In addition to demonstrating a thorough understanding of all the regulators, he gave us clear and in-depth explanations of their operation and handling.
He gave me the confidence I needed to perform maintenance on my regulators.
Highly recommended both for initiation courses, and if you are crazy about bubbles and want to specialize in Technical Diving.
The Cortijo, the best.
The dive centre is located inside Natural Park Cabo de Gatas-Nijar. Very good for a long weekend holiday in a remote location. I could store my gear at the dive centre, with no problem.
Did 3 dives, instead of 6, due to weather and water visibility. Will try to come back other time. Last dive was great (15m visibility, 75min dive time and lots of fish to see).
Lots of aquatic fauna, and big shoals of Med Barracuda. Staff is friendly, very supportive and experienced.
The dive center has good accommodations and very relaxing to be after the dives. Also the staff can provide you with free drinks, soda can or beer as you like. Before and after the dive, water was always available which is important to avoid dehydration.
I liked the fact that staff helped to carry the gear before and after the dive, but let the diver assemble / disassemble his own gear with plenty of time. Had problems with manifold pressure gauge and DIN O-Ring, extra time was helpful to correct and test all gear was ready for safe usage.
Some things to improve:
Showers and bathrooms should be in a new building with separated areas for men and women. I enjoy getting out from the dive and having a shower quickly, with hot water available.
The cylinders should be in the shade, and separated in marked areas, indicating ones for maintenance, full/available and already used by customers.
Cleaning tanks for dive equipment should be bigger and easier to access, with anti bacterial detergent for wet-suits and boots (could be similar to the Turtle tank)
The harbor should be improved for people to board the boats in a safer way. It is bad that the divers need to get into the boat from the shore. Natural Park Management´s fault on this.
