The Financial Services Innovators have a goal to make Nigeria a global leader in innovative
technology-driven financial services, ensuring access to financial services and economic
development in the new digital economy. We will be setting up a Fintech Hackathon that
would enhance financial innovation and empower startups. FSI has a Sandbox ready for use.
The Sandbox is a safe and secure environment where innovators are excited to experiment
with their ideas without fear of failure and regulatory inhibitions. The APIs (Node and Go)
within the sandbox are from key players in the financial ecosystem such as:
- NIBSS: BVN Verification
- Sterling Bank: Interbank Transfer
- Africa’sTalking: USSD Transfer
The hackathon will be a way to get a lot more people to sign up as members of FSI to
immediately start building Fintech products.
Eligibility
The Hackathon is open to individuals
(i) who are at least eighteen years old and
(ii) are members of FSI.
Participation in the Hackathon constitutes Participant’s full and unconditional agreement to
and acceptance of these Terms and Conditions (“Terms”). The term “you” refers to you, the
“Participant”.
‘Participant’ under this terms and conditions will be known as ‘Team’ where the sponsor
does so interprets.
Employees of Sponsor and its respective parent companies, affiliates, subsidiaries,
advertising, promotion, fulfilment or other coordinating agencies, individuals providing
services to Sponsor through an outsourcer or temporary employment agency during the
Hackathon period, and their respective immediate family members and persons living in
their same household, are not eligible to participate in the Hackathon tagged
‘PayAsYouKnow’
Requirements
All submissions will be received via this platform and only then can the participant be invited to pitch their idea to the judges.
