What Is Gathering Wisdom?
Gathering Wisdom for a Shared Journey is a forum held every 18 months as part of the commitments within the Tripartite Agreements that underpin the First Nations Health Governance Structure. A province-wide forum hosted by the FNHC, its purpose is to support the transformation of health and wellness for First Nations in BC.
10-Year Strategy
The 10-Year Strategy on the Social Determinants of Health is a central focus of Gathering Wisdom. The strategy’s four priorities focus on bringing health care closer to home and standing up First Nations culture and traditions for health and wellness. The 10-Year Strategy was endorsed by Chiefs and leaders at Gathering Wisdom XII in March, 2023.
