As one knife broke … ‘I’d just grab another,’ says accused murderer

Brittany Nichols’ killer slashed her more than 17 times, reportedly in a rage that she was breaking up with him. That was the testimony given Monday during a hearing for Johnny Maurice Bell, who pleaded not guilty and will face a trial for her murder.

A deputy state medical examiner listed the wounds at Monday’s preliminary hearing in 2nd District Court for Bell, charged with Nichols’ Jan. 4 murder. The count could be 23 stab wounds with a group of six smaller injuries aligned together on the victim’s back, small punctures that could have been caused when she fell.

In all Bell used five knives in the attack around midnight, according to testimony, including four cheap kitchen knives, which broke or bent

Husband and Wife Dead in Apparent Murder-Suicide, Police Say

An eastern Pennsylvania man and his wife are dead in a domestic shooting.

Pottsville police say they were called to the couple’s home by the wife just before 8:45 a.m. Sunday.

They found Amybeth Williams and her husband, Jeffrey, in the basement with gunshot wounds.

Jeffrey Williams died at the scene from what police say was a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Amybeth Williams was flown to Lehigh Valley Hospital where she later died

30 Claim Abuse By Tracy Plastic Surgeon

Thirty alleged victims are now involved in a sexual abuse case involving a Tracy doctor, the lead investigator said Thursday.

Authorities said Wednesday that 47-year-old Dr. Peter Chi is facing 11 felony counts pertaining to the alleged abuse of eight adult female cosmetic surgery patients between September 2007 and December 2008.

More patients have since come forward in the investigation, investigators said
