Halloween Extravaganza

We (mostly Ben) carved pumpkins twice, we painted pumpkins, we trunk or treated, and trick or treated.  Who knew Halloween was such a long holiday?  Rhone has been dying to have Sylvie be Jessie since we found out she was a girl last Halloween.  So I tried my best to rig up a home-made one for our little cow girl.  How did we do?

This year we added the helmet and some lasers.

Rhone had more fun handing out candy then trick or treating.  What a funny kid.  We handed out over 200 pieces before we ran out and packed up shop and warmed up with our hot cider.

To Idaho We Go

Every Fall we head home for the hunting season.  Ben was not able to get leave from his new squadron, so after a little debating, I decided to try the trek out for my self.  That's right, I did 12 hours and 650 miles in one day with my kids.  Whew....am I crazy?  Honestly I saw the sun rise over the Sierra Nevada Mountains and set over the Great Salt Lake.  What We made it though.  We were blessed with lots of time with Papa and a little time with Nana (since she was working).  We delayed a few days because of weather.  And I was happy we did.  We were able to see my mom's side of the family and Rhone and Olin were able to go to the school Halloween Carnival.  What a fun time!  The trip back was absolutely exhausting.  The sun was blinding as we drove over the pass.  It was worth it and I know I can do it, but whew it's gonna be a while before I am up for it again.

There's nothing like holding your little man up while he takes care of some serious business, on the side of the road, to make you feel like super mom.  I can do hard things :)

Isn't this how these pictures always go?  Look at the circus, but how sweet are these pictures with their great grandparents.  Priceless I say.

Rhone and Papa made a "smoothie" with what was left from the garden.  It wasn't so yummy, but Rhone was sure that "chocolate chips and sugar would make it better"  So in they went.

Our amazing friends came to visit us in Idaho too.  She took some awesome picture of the kids for our Christmas cards.  So I will post those pictures after the cards are out.

7 sweet months

Time is seriously flying by with this little lady.  She really is always this happy.  She loves being in the mix of things.  Which is a huge blessing since Rhone is more than happy to involve her.  She loves when we hold her and run around and chase Rhone.  She is a scooter and a roller, but not a crawler yet.  She is a big eater and falls to sleep great on her own, but she doesn't want to stay asleep.  We are working on that.

Mommy School

We (by that I mean "I") spent a lot of time researching preschool options here and nothing worked out for us. So I am trading with my next door neighbor school days.  Rhone loves his friend, so it's been fun- just more work for me.
