From Gaza, where every day carries the weight of everything we have lost, I am holding onto the pieces of my dream and trying to rebuild what was shattered.
I lost my home and the future I had poured my effort into. But I have not lost the belief that every human being deserves a chance to begin again.
I dream of reaching a safe place where I can continue my education,
where I can rebuild my life with my own hands, and one day become a source of strength for my family, who lost everything with me.
But I cannot reach that future alone. Your support, no matter how small, could be the moment that changes my life completely.
⚠️ Note: this campaign is in Canadian Dollars (CAD), not USD.
Just so you know, $100 USD is about $136–138 CAD.
My Name Is Nada, and This Is My Story.
I never imagined that the simplest dreams such as an education, a safe home, a quiet room, or the chance to work could one day feel impossible.
Before the war, my life was simple but steady. I lived with my family in North Gaza. I graduated from Al-Azhar University with an average of 82 percent, then began pursuing my true passion: design and multimedia.
I studied with determination and completed the first semester of my diploma with a 95.7 percent average. I was working and studying at the same time, building a future I hoped would be full of creativity and promise.
Then the war came, and everything changed.
In one night, everything collapsed. We fled our home under bombardment with only the clothes on our backs. During the war, I learned that our house had been completely leveled.
There are no words for the moment you realize the place that held your entire childhood has turned into rubble. My books, my drawings, my photos, and my place of memories are all gone. Even my laptop, my design tools, and everything I used to build my future disappeared in an instant.
Universities shut down. My diploma program was gone. I lost my job.
Life became a daily struggle for survival.
Since then, we have moved from place to place until we ended up in Az-Zawaida camp. There is no electricity, no stable internet, no privacy, and no safe space to study. Nothing that resembles real life.
My health has suffered as well. I had sinus surgery before the war, and the harsh conditions have made breathing more difficult every day.
And yet, something inside me refuses to give up.
I still want to continue my education. I want to move from a life where every crisis is a firefight to a life where I can build a real future. I want to study New Media, a field that I am very passionate about and one that would enable me to support myself and my family.
But I cannot reach this future alone.
The price tag that this war has burdened us with is beyond anything we can carry. We have no home, and our remaining income is far too little to cover even the simplest necessities.
I am not asking for comfort or luxury. I am asking for a real chance to study, to work, and to rebuild my life.
Why Your Support Matters
Your donation, no matter the amount, can change my life. It can take me from uncertainty to a safe room. From fear to a place of learning. From the reality of war to the hope of rebuilding.
You are not only helping me pursue an education. You are helping me reclaim my future so that I can stand again one day and support my family.
Thank you for reading my story. Thank you to everyone who gives hope to someone who truly needs it.
