| Hey everyone. April 22nd was the last day in which I've posted in this journal. Wow. Hmm... Not too much has happened for the most part. Just got genetically mutated. Fell in love. Saved the world a couple of times. Discovered the cure for cancer. Hah. Just kidding. For the most part. I'm going to try and start updating my LiveJournal again some more. This entry will be dedicated to Kara and Halo 2. Firstly, Kara... Get better! My friend - Justin Mobley's girlfriend - has mono. :-( It sucks, I had it last year. Feel better. ::hugs:: I wrote a report on mono. I received a B+ on it; if I still had it I'd post it here but I deleted it when I did my annual "school projects on computer flush." Secondly, Halo 2. I've started playing the game again and I'm starting to get really good at it. Yesterday I was ranked 21 in team slayer, today I got to 27! That's a huge improvement for two days. My goal is >30 in team slayer, >20 in rumble pit and snipers, and >10 in everything else by time school starts. Easily doable. http://www.bungie.net/Stats/PlayerStats.aspx?player=ConcordiaI'll write more later. | comments: Learn some philosophies (3) or Leave a philosophy |
| My mom just got into a car accident.
She called, she sounded in pain, he said the police are on the way and to call my dad.
I'm shaking right now.
I'll keep you updated... | comments: Learn some philosophies (1) or Leave a philosophy |
| Here is my long-awaited journal entry. School has been going pretty well for me. I am going to receive 4 A+'s, 2 A-'s, and 2 B+'s for the third marking period. The quarter ended and the grades are officially presented sometime in the next few weeks. This makes my GPA around 3.9 to 3.7, which makes me pretty happy. Last week I had off from school. On Wednesday, my Uncle Rich and his wife Aunt Arlene came from Washington State to New Jersey for a few weeks. The next morning we left to go to Canada with them. My dad rented a van and we drove up, spending some time at Niagara and Toronto, both in Ontario. We also went with my Aunt Kathy (Babe), who is about 72 years old. Despite her protests, we had in a wheel chair during the trip. She's going this Friday to open up a blood clot in her legs, so she wasn't able to walk much. I pushed her around a majority of times. Some notable spots we went to include... * The American Falls * The Bridal Falls * The Horseshoe Falls * The Skylon Tower * The Flural Clock * The Butterfly Expedition We also saw the Toronto skyline and ate lunch there one day. When my uncle uploads the pictures, I'll try and put a few up. On the way home, we went past and were going to eat at this dinner called "Gus and Nancy's Restaurant." The place was a dump, and it was funny. My uncle is a very humourous dude, and it provided us with much laughter on the return trip to New Jersey. It was about a seven hour drive in total, I spent my time reading Animal Farm and reviewing some of my science notes. We returned on Sunday, Easter, so I didn't get to celebrate it as I would've liked. I've restarted playing Halo 2, including online. My gamer tag is Concordia if you're interested. I'm not too good at it yet, but I'm getting better. I usually only play unranked games, so don't let my rank deceive you. At school, a kid I know told a kid whom also told another kid I know that I'm gay. I'm very upset about this. I'm going to speak to the first kid later. This really pissed me off. My friend Matt came up to me before first period and said, "Justin, we need to talk." I was like "o_O." So after class I approached him and he said, "I heard you came out of the closet. Justin Alplaugh told me you were gay." I was like, "...what? No! You actually believed him?" Justin Alplaugh is rather gothicish/annoying/kid I don't like too much. "Okay. Just wanted to hear it from the man," he replied and left. -_-;; I'm really really really mad, this is annoying me a lot, I've been thinking about it all day. I saw Alplaugh in the hall, he didn't see me though. I was going to push him against the wall and set him straight but that's a bit...barbaric. I'm going to deal with it more calmly. And that's me. Finally, today is 4/20, which makes it 420. Hilter's birthday and "Pot" day. What really bothers me is people who smoke pot. I don't understand it. Deal with your own problems. Life isn't meant to always feel good and be happy, it's about surviving without pumping chemicals into your brain which make you temporarily "lose your problems." And also, people who think it's cool to do it. I don't understand the reasoning in that. If anything, it should make you uncool, but apparently modern society things sucking in smoke from a burning leaf is the hip thing to do. I don't know why anyone would injure their bodies like that. Someone once said to me, everything is harmful to you, including eating. Yes, I know. Breathing is harmful too, oxygen destroys certain cells in the body. But that statement is profound. I need to eat. I need to breath. I don't need to smoke pot to cope with my problems and destroy my brain. I'm better than that, I should think. Oh well. Adieu. | comments: Learn some philosophies (2) or Leave a philosophy |
| Good evening everyone.
I'm about to head off to bed, but I've decided I'm going to make a few chances to my LiveJournal. I might create a new one and make it private and keep a diary/event of my days. I'm not sure yet. Either way, tomorrow I'm going to write all about my vacation and some stuff that's happened to me recently.
Time for me to head off to sleep now, though. | comments: Leave a philosophy |

| Hello everyone.
I apologize, I really haven't posted in a while. I've been rather busy with school and such, but I'll make an effort to make a decently sized post today.
Yesterday, Saturday, I went with my parents to a family reunion. In total, there was 18 people. I'll try and organize a small list...
My great uncle Don and his wife Ross, my great uncle Bob and his wife Grace, my great aunt Peggy and her husband Fred, and my grandmother Joan. My father, Chris (this is his side of the family) and my mother Patricia. My uncle (Joan's son/Chris's brother) Doug, his wife Terra, and their daughter Jillian and their triplets Emily, Kathryn, and Mark. Joan's cousin and her daughter, Mia.
We stayed at a bed and breakfast. The manager is also the chef, he was a five star chef. Excellent food.
It was a pretty interesting and fun experience seeing all of my grandparents/uncles/aunts on that side. Uncle Don is a millionaire, he owns his own company in Arizona. Uncle Bob was a Rear Admiral in the navy during Vietnam, and my Uncle Fred does geneology and has traced part of my family back to the 1700's in England and Scotland and Ireland. It's pretty interesting, I have a packet all about whence my last name originates.
My grandfather didn't come. He...is just weird, he's mean. My granduncles/aunts aren't allowed at my grandmother's because of him. I'm not going to get into it, but he's not a nice guy. Most of them left this morning to go back to where they live. They're scattered across the west, Arizona, Washington, Utah, California. All of the family originates in NJ, they kind of just spread out and made their own family. But I learned a lot talking to Uncle Don. He's really a nice dude.
Aunt Peggy is staying and coming up with my grandmother Tuesday for a few days. I've seen her the most, she's cool also.
I get really sentimental with things like this and I can't help it. My Uncle Bob is getting old, and his wife Grace has cancer. But that's part of life. | comments: Leave a philosophy |

| My friend was suspended from school. Guess what he did? -_- He stole a coffee cake from one of the cooking rooms, one of the the teachers I have, in fact. -_- Some of his friends put him up to it I believe. -_-;; Idiots...
I'm teaching myself some higher level math. It's funny, there is +0 math (normal), +1 math (one level higher), +2 (two levels higher). For example, a freshman taking +0 math is in algebra I, +1 math is in geometry, +2 is in algebra II, etc. etc.. Anyway, I'm in +1 math. I have homeroom in the math building, and right after homeroom a bunch of people in +2 math come in. They always like to make fun of everyone else because they're not in as high math as them. Well, I have a kid in +3 math (the only kid in the school) in my homework. ^_^ Recently he's been defending us. It's pretty funny. XD
Sorry. :P Anyway, yeah, that's it. | comments: Learn some philosophies (5) or Leave a philosophy |
| I'm sorry, I really haven't updated this in a long while. My life has been pretty much uneventful between my last updates and now, only I've been busier than normal, I suppose. One of my friends (whom I have not seen in a long time) came back, and we're talking a lot now again. It's awesome, I'm lucky, she's cool. Speaking of friends, I saw my best friend Peter today for the first time in a long while. Couple of months, at least. He hasn't changed too much either, which is good. I hate seeing huge change in people sometimes. At school, testing is going on: Terra Novas for the stupid freshmen and HESPAs for the juniors. I don't have any test, so I have to spend hours in the morning in boring classes and then like 25 minutes in other classes in the afternoon. You know, when I look around, I see friends and people talking, they go over each other's homes, play, hang out, smoke, whatever. I don't really have friends like that. But I don't mind at all, I'm not asking for sympathy. My music is enough for me, I listen to it all more and more, and I get absorbed into it. When I walk, I usually walk alone unless I'm going to a class with someone with my music on. And it doesn't bother me. I may be anti-social, but I'm not depressed or crazy. I'm just different, and different is fine. Speaking of music, it's funny. I was listening to Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata today. The end of the second movement. It's very peaceful and calm, happy, lalala like. I'm fine. And then, something upset me. Something rather personalish, and not something random. Almost on que, the third movement came on. It begins with a harsh scale and two intense chords. Actually, I thought it was very ironic how the violent music game on the second I got angry. Hmph. Ah well. 'tis me. | We had a blizzard. I'll write more on it later, but alas it was enough to take us out of school last Monday. Valentine's day was eh, Kara's friend died so *HUGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!* and Lit stinks.
That sums up enough. I'll add details later. | comments: Learn some philosophies (1) or Leave a philosophy |
| Today I had two exams, computer repair and support I and music workshop I. The first was boring, however the second is more interesting. Hehe. Firstly, there are eight or so people in my class. This girl brought in Twister to play after we finished. I played. Hehe, it was only me and two other girls (and a third girl doing the dial tihng). X_x; 50% of the time it looked like they were giving each other 69 and the other half her butt was in my face. I kept on getting the same thing over and over...right hand yellow. :-D I had to do very little.
'twas fun.

| Today was my first exam for the midterms at school. But because we have nine periods, we only have one on the first day...schedule:
Wednesday Period 9 Exam Period 1 Homeroom Period 2 Period 4 Period 5 Period 6 Period 7 Period 8 Period 3
Thursday Period 1 Exam Period 2 Exam
Friday Period 3 Exam Period 4 Exam
Monday Period 5 Exam Period 6 Exam
Tuesday Period 7 Exam Period 8 Exam
I don't have exams in period one or four, so I get to go in late on Thursday and leave early on Friday. The first exam is 7:20 to 9:20 and the second one is 9:35 to 11:35. Either way I get to leave early, but like I previously mentioned, I only have to take one exam on Thursday and Friday.
Today's was fine, but boring and tiring. Long. I'm tired now.
On Friday, I may walk to the mall with a few friends. It's not that far from the school, only five or ten minutes. I'm not sure yet, honestly. I need just a nap, ya know?
According to my mom (when she walked in) there are "pretty" girls outside hanging out with the middle schoolers. She tried to get me to go outside to see them. "Go stick this letter in Jay's (neighbor) mailbox, you can look at the girls." I gave her a look and she left. Heh. Too lazy. Oh well.

| In gym today, we were playing basketball. This kid who tries to show off all the time took had the ball, but he was being covered. 30 secons left...
20 seconds, 10 seconds...
Oh no! 5 seconds...
So from FAR out (way past the 3 pointer line) he does this totally random hook shot. It makes it. O_O Everyone was like...O_O;;
'twas interesting.
Tomorrow I have a midterm, world civ. 7:20 to 9:20. :/ First of seven...yey.

| Since last entry, I missed three more days of school. Midterms upcoming two weeks. Oh, my dad sent an e-mail to them against my will. I know his password and secretly read it: ( Read more...Collapse )Isn't that embarrassing. I'm in highschool, folks, and my parents can't trust me to take care of my own butt. Yeah. Wow. Okay... But I guess it could be worse. I am indeed doing better now. Right... My new thing is Shadow Ops. I'm a total nut. If you join and want to try it out, do server three and be in the Sol system. | Saturday - Illness is acquired. Although not horrible, I am coughing and a slight runny nose plagues me. Sunday - Illness expands. Runny nose is more common, and I have coughing fits. Use nebulizer once. Monday - Attend school, though slightly miserable. Return home and spend night downstairs. Tuesday - Wake up with a 101/102 fever. Stay home, go to the doctor. I'm officially sick. Wednesday - No school; the doctor's office wrote me a note for me to return on Thursday. Thursday - Much to my protest, I attend school. Leave at 9:50 AM.

The bells rang. Everyone was silent. The alarms went off, but they were the only things to be heard. After a long ride through the ville, the filled casket was lowered from the large, red vehicle. A few muffled cries could be heard through the windy air, as the life-long firefighter spent his last seconds ever on his station.
At the church, the cries were more plentiful. The pasture spoke words, words about Jesus Christ, God, and Earth. But she also talked about the man resting before her in the beautiful, glossed casket. A few people stood up and spoke. A brother, a niece, a fellow firefighter. Tissues were passed and hymns were sang.
The casket was then loaded into the limo. For miles, a small parade of cars with flashing lights rode towards the common destination. It was long, and no shorter than an hour later the people emerged. They gathered under the tent with flowers in their hands. The pasture, whom was again present, spoke final words.
She finished. The people, one-by-one, approached the casket. Some paused and gazed down. The heart of many memories lied inside. With sniffles, the roses were placed down on top of wood.
And as the group returned to their cars, in the distance, one could see the marvelous piece of craftsmanship be lowered into the cold soil.

| Most people don't realize how "wired" every modern car is -- with a computer controlling everything from basic engine operation to when and how firmly the transmission shifts to the operation of things like cruise control. Many new cars are also equipped with onboard (and computer-controlled) navigation and communication systems that interface with cell phones, PDAs -- even the Internet.
The concern is that this electronic back-and-forth with the outside world -- and wireless communication systems -- could enable a hacker to access a vehicle's onboard systems and infect them with a computer virus. Many of these systems (for example, BMW's iDrive interface, which uses a "mouse" on the car's center console to control a menu of in-car operations) are based on a version of Microsoft software -- and anyone using Windows online knows all about viruses and the havoc they can wreak.
