Ethan's Eleven

Ethan turned eleven. Eleven!  Where did the time go?  I can't believe he is getting so big. He wanted a mint Oreo cheesecake for his birthday and it was really yummy. ImageHere is the birthday boy about to blow out the candles.

And here he is eating it before the smoke cleared from the candles. Did I mention it was really good?

Last Thursday he was also awarded his Arrow of Light. This is the highest award that you can get as a Cub Scout. He worked so hard on it and did an amazing job. He is such a great kid.

Doesn't he look so grown up?

School has begun

The first day of school has come and gone. I now have three in school. Such a crazy thing. Why do they have to grow up so fast?

Ethan is in fifth grade, the big dog on campus. Amie is now in third grade. They started September 3rd.

Aubree had to wait a few days and start that following week. She is so excited to be going to kindergarten with her brother and sister.

Long time coming

So much has happened since I last posted.  Yes i realize the last post was a LONG time ago.  For those of you that still care what is going on in the Hall family I promise I will be better about posting.  I guess I will just give you all a highlight of where we are all at.

Ethan 10 yrs old

Ethan will be going into 5th grade this fall!  I am amazed at how well he does in school.  He loves reading and at the end of 4th grade he was reading at a 12th grade reading level. He also enjoys building with Lego's, playing video games, and tormenting his sisters.  This last year he came in first in the Pinewood derby for cub scouts.  He has also been taking piano lessons and at his recital this last spring he was able to add an original verse to one of his pieces.  He always does so well at everything he tries.

Amie 8 yrs old

Image
Amie is going to be starting 3rd grade this year.  She is growing like a weed.  She loves to be outside, swimming, riding her bike, or doing anything with her dad.  She is and has always been a daddy's girl.  She is also doing well in school and is really looking forward to starting again. Amie also started piano lessens this last year and is doing very well. She is a little social butterfly and quickly makes friends with anyone she meets.

Aubree age 5

Image
Aubree is starting kindergarten this fall.  I can not believe she is old enough to be going to school with Ethan and Amie.  She is so ready though and extremely excited.  She is so independent and eager to try new things.  She is growing into a beautiful little lady.

Elsie 2 yrs old
Image
Elsie is a new addition to our family since I was last on here.  She came to our family as bit of a surprise but she has been such a blessing.  She is a tease and loves to bug her brother and sisters anytime she can.  We have given her the nickname of sour patch kid because she will do something to mess with you then turn right around and be the sweetest little thing you have ever seen.  She loves to sing and her favorite songs are from the movie Frozen. I think she could watch or listen to the soundtrack non stop and never get sick of it.

Two!!!

ImageAubree turned 2 on the 6th of January. I can't believe she is two already! We had an Elmo birthday party and she was so excited.

Image
ImageThis Elmo pinata was her favorite. Good thing it was a pull string pinata I don't think it would have ended well if she saw Elmo getting beat. I actually woke up this morning with Aubree beside my bed with Elmo right next to her.

Once there was a snowman...

We had a ton of snow dump on us the other day and it was perfect for packing to make a snowman. Which Ethan has been wanting to do since the beginning of winter.

ImageAubree making a snowball. She didn't last long...after about 15 min or so she led me to the door and said, "Inside Mama."

Santa Train

We had the opportunity to go on a special Military Santa train that BNSF puts on for veterans. It was such a neat experience. The kids loved the train ride and thought they were on the Polar Express with it all decorated and Christmas music playing. We were served tons of snacks and of coarse HOT CHOCOLATE!!! Then Santa came and visited us at our seats and gave everyone a special ornament to remember the event.
