This blog needs new life

Mom and Papa came down for Stake Conference this weekend. It's nice to have them so close. Mom's not feeling well, but she was able to help me with Eldon anyway. :)

I don't know Papa's current email address...Can someone else add him as an author?

I stand corrected--by Logan

In a letter to the MTC, I said something about Elder Uchtdorf being the first non-american, born outside the church to be in the First Presidency. He wrote back and said, "Are you sure? Even in the early church?" Now it didn't take long but after just a second of recall, I remembered that "The Dandy" (John Taylor) was Canadian, and for some time during the early days of the chuch, none of First Presidency had been born in the church. I stand corrected! Thank you, Elder Grow!

Mom's Musings

It's a first. A non-American, born outside the Church, Czechoslovician born Dieter Uchtdorf is called to The First Presidency of the Church after only three years serving in the Quorum of the Twelve. Truly, God is the father of us all and offers his kingdom to all who will come to his Son. It's a great day!

for some reason trying to write a blog leaves me for a loss of not only words but also thoughts which i don't know why because i can talk about anything and espeacially things i know nothing about. so this is a test blog. its to help me feel like i'm not giving a talk in church and that it would be ok for me to show my sensitive side and not be scarred for life after i open my beating heart to you. well it may take awhile for that but like i said this is just a test. by the way it was so good to see my whole family together for celebration of Christs birth. you kids just don't know what it means to your mother and me to see each of you growing in the direction your growing and well you are a fine looking group also. well so much for a test i love you papa
