Ministry

Writing Ministry, currently undertaken at my blog called Athanasian Reformed. Articles written for the purposes of edifying and discipling the Church’s leadership, along with the laity. Articles range from high level theological, to personal and devotional/doxological, and targeted teaching topics for engaging with the relationship between the Church and culture. (2005 – present).

Marketplace Evangelism, being undertaken in all the various workplaces I have been employed at since around 1990. This entails actively sharing the Gospel with fellow co-workers, doing my work as unto the Lord, and being pastorally available for co-workers who look to me for spiritual support. (1990 – present).

Targeted Evangelism, this entailed street evangelism, coffee-shop evangelism, children’s Bible club, Muslim evangelism (through workshops, visiting Mosques, making contacts and developing relationships with Muslim people). (1996 – 2003).

Pastor’s Kid, I was born into an ordained Conservative Baptist Association pastor’s home. My dad was a youth pastor, associate pastor, and senior pastor. Along with that my dad was a church planter (one of his church plants continues to thrive today, some 50 years later), and hospital chaplain. From as young as I can remember my dad was very intentional about involving me in his pastoral ministry, even as a young child. He would take me with him when he did visitation to shut-ins in the church, hospital visitations (when appropriate), door-to-door evangelism, children’s bus ministry, and being present in the inner-workings of the church ministry. This impacted me in deeply formative ways, and in ways that remain in my heart and vision to this day. (1974 – present).
