Sure! 1) Draw what you love! Draw what's most self indulgent, what makes you most excited and eager to do so. 2) Don't be afraid to use lots of reference! It's how you learn and grow your visual library. Refs are important! 3) There are no rules. Art has no rules, there may be certain things you can do to make your art look a certain way or style, but it doesn't need to look a certain way. It only needs to look like how you want it to.
