Eligibility

Students in High School and College are elegible to complete in teams of up to four members.

Requirements

Projects submissions may vary from a wide range of topics. All projects must be created at the event, but public open source code may be integrated into your projects

General Theme - 1st Place

All teams are eligible for this prize; however, judges will consider theme incorporation when deciding the winner. Each member of the winning team will receive a Dell tablet provide by Major League Hacking.

General Theme - 2nd Place

All teams are eligible for this prize; however, judges will consider theme incorporation when deciding the winner. Each member of the winning team will receive a 500 GB Internal SSD.

General Theme - 3rd Place
1 winner

All teams are eligible for this prize; however, judges will consider theme incorporation when deciding the winner. The winning team will have two SteelSeries Mechanical Gaming Keyboards (Red Cherry Switches) and two Logitech Wireless Gaming Headsets (Model G930) to split among the members.

Best Use of ConnectIQ API

Teams who integrate Garmin's ConnectIQ API into their hack are eligible to win a free Garmin VivoActive. Each team member will receive a VivoActive.

Teams who integrate the Internet of Things into their hack are eligible to win a free LIFX Bulb. Each team member will receive a LIFX Bulb

Teams that host their project on a free .TECH domain are eligible to win a $30 Amazon shopping voucher per team member.

Best Mobile App
1 winner

Teams who create mobile apps are eligible to win a Google Cardboard and Tile(https://www.thetileapp.com/). Each team member will receive a Cardboard and Tile.

Best Domain Name from Domain.com
1 winner

Each member of the team with the best domain name from domain.com will receive swag bags with a Sparkfun Redboard included.

Best Developer Tool from GitHub

Each member of the team with the best developer tool will receive an Octocat Statue.

  • General Guidelines
    Each project will be guided by the themes they choose, but overall we are looking for projects that are unique, interesting, useful, and user friendly. (aka make something fun and enjoy yourself!)
