UPJŠ challenge - Automation of digital forensic analysis for the Windows operating system
Security threats are becoming more sophisticated daily, increasing their number. This means continuously improving organizations' ability to respond to these security threats and address cybersecurity incidents. Solving cyber security incidents is a non-trivial activity in terms of time and expertise, including analyzing available digital traces - digital forensics. For this reason, automating the response to a security incident, including digital forensics, is essential.
Data from a fictitious case, "The Case of the stolen Szechuan soup" ([https://dfirmadness.com/the-stolen-szechuan-sauce/](https://dfirmadness.com/the-stolen-szechuan-sauce/)), are available. Images of disks, memories, process output, and network communication are available. In addition, tabular data containing already partially processed data are pre-processed. It is up to the team which data source they choose. The goal of the task is to use data analysis and machine learning methods to automate the work of a forensic analyst.
Prize: Tablets + UPJŠ goodybag (for each team member)

Scheidt & Bachmann Challenge - Passengers Mobile App: Multimodal travelling
Your goal is to build a mobile application for Android and/or iOS which recommends travelling routes based on different preferences of the passenger. Choose a large city based on your preferences. The input of the passenger are his/her preferences:list of type of transportation (car, bus, subway, train, ferry, bicycle, scooter, electric bike, walk, etc.) the passenger wants to travel with ("I want to walk, use bus and ferry, but do not want to use tram", etc.)
list of preferences ("I do not want to sit in the bus when the weather is nice, but rather use electric scooter", "I want to produce minimal CO2", "I want to see the national theater on my way", "I am in hurry, so please show the fastest option", "I am a student, so please show the cheapest option", "If there is traffic jam, I rather walk", "I must have my coffee at 10:00", etc.)
current location or defined starting point and destination point in the greater area of the city
The output is a visualization of the proposed route and few other options with information why are these routes recommended (e.g. "2.21kg saved CO2", etc.
The Scheidt&Bachmann team will evaluate the following criteria: how innovative is the solution; how complex logic is applied to the route selection; what kind of data sources of real data used; proposal for the monetization model of the application (i.e. how to earn money with such an application) will be considered as an extra mile.
