The event is taking place at MILA, where you’ll have access to everything you need to succeed: amazing mentors, great food, workshops, and networking opportunities with our industry sponsors from companies like Morgan Stanley, DeepMind, General Motors and more! This event is hybrid to allow commuters to keep on hacking in the comfort of their home throughout the weekend.

Judging Criteria

  • Technology
    Is the project technically impressive? Complex? Is the project technically sophisticated? Is the solution technically advanced? How technically impressive was the hack? Did the technology involved make you go "Wow"?
  • Design & Implementation
    Is the design creative/unique? Is it original and cleverly thought out? Does it work? Is it implementable? Did the team think about the user interface (UI)? Did the team think about the user experience (UX)?
  • Business
    Does the idea meet a customer's need? Is there a business potential? Is it market-worthy? Does the project have economic and societal value? Is there potential to grow it into something profitable?
  • Innovation & Social Impact
    Has it confronted a new problem? Is it a real solution to a problem? How innovative and realistic is the idea? Is it well thought out from multiple aspects? Was there a novel approach applied to solve the problem?
  • Presentation
    How clear is the written presentation? How clear is the oral presentation?
