About the challenge
The hackathon is centered around the topic of a “greener and safer Earth”, in light of recent events pertaining to climate change, and the adverse effects it's had on the world, we thought it might be a good idea to help brew solutions to some of the problems in this area, by hosting a hackathon that lets participants think of ways to build solutions to problems that would make the Earth much safer and “greener” to live in.
Requirements
What to Build
Solutions that address environmental issues. The Earth is riddled with lots of environmental issues, making it more and more difficult to inhabit, each year. We need solutions that can help address these issues before it is too late to turn things around. This hackathon themes submissions into three main categories, however, participants are at liberty to tackle any problem that they can identify regardless of whether or not it falls into the categories defined below:
- Water: Green solutions, that could potentially solve water problems worldwide, think of water shortages, water pollution, and drought!
- Health: Health is wealth they say - think of “Green” solutions that help foster better, cheaper healthcare services across the world.
- Environment: Be as creative as you want. Let's make our environment more hospitable, greener, and less polluted.
What to Submit
- Code Repository: Upload your code to a GitHub repository and share the link to the repository. Make sure that it is a public repository that the judges can easily access.
- Project Demo/Presentation [Media]: A 5-10 minutes video presentation (including a demo) of the project built.
