It is time for the Association for Computing Machinery's (ACM's) second annual Hackathon! UCSC's ACM Student Chapter is a Computer Science resource club with the goal of bringing students together while we develop our members' technical and professional skills. HackACM is completely FREE and is targeted to those who are new to hackathons or want to learn more about them. With a smaller scale than other hackathons, there is no application, just a sign up. HackACM is a one day - 12 hour - event in which you can create any website, game, or application you desire! Lunch and dinner will be provided to all our hackers! Snacks and drinks will be available throughout the duration as well.

All teams must have no more than four people.
All UCSC students are welcome to participate.

Judging Criteria
-
Creativity
We will look for any new and fun ideas introduced by your hack, as well as any imaginative solutions to a problem, or novel application of an old concept. -
Completeness
How complete is your hack? It's a 12-hour hackathon, so we're not expecting all projects to be complete, but given the constraints how far were you able to get? Even if incomplete, is the idea there? -
Improvement
We will be looking at whether your hack pushed you to learn something new, and how you and your team were able to adapt to the challenge. -
Beginner Slug
A collection of Google Cardboard VR sets will be awarded to the best beginner team: a beginner team is any team where a majority of the team members are first-time hackathon attendees. -
Novice Slug
A collection of Go4Pwr power banks will be awarded to the best novice team: a novice team is any team where a majority of the team members are still relatively new to hackathons and have only attended a few hackathons in the past.
