Are you ready to innovate, collaborate, and tackle key challenges?

Apply now to secure your place at the RACGP Hackathon 2025 and join a diverse group of GPs, clinicians, tech experts, and medical entrepreneurs as we work together to shape the future of general practice.

Applications now closed. Please note:

  • Late or incomplete applications will not be accepted.
  • All applicants will be notified of their application status week beginning Monday, 9 February 2026.
  • Only successful applicants will be invited to attend the Hackathon.

Applications will be reviewed by the Hackathon committee. To ensure a fair and impartial process, all identifying information will be removed before assessment. Each application will be evaluated against the following criteria;

Relevance to Hackathon goals

Applicants should demonstrate a deep understanding of the Hackathon’s focus (e.g., healthcare innovation, general practice challenges).

The specific challenges proposed by the applicant is aligned with general practice and broader healthcare improvement.

Motivation and commitment

The applicant has a clear and convincing explanation of why they want to participate in the Hackathon.

The applicant demonstrates commitment to the Hackathon’s objectives.

Skills and contributions

The applicant demonstrates clear evidence of expert problem-solving skills and innovative thinking in professional contexts.

Team collaboration skills

The applicant demonstrates the ability to work collaboratively in a diverse team, as evidenced by past experiences.

Balanced representation

The Hackathon committee reserves the right to consider the overall composition of the participant cohort to ensure appropriate representation across gender, geographical location (including rural and remote practitioners), professional backgrounds, and skill sets. This approach aims to foster diverse perspectives and enhance collaborative innovation in healthcare delivery.
