HackHealth is a one-day hackathon being held on Saturday, Sept 10th from 9am to 10pm in Old CS Room 2120. It is a minority- and beginner-friendly hackathon hosted by WiCS (Women in Computer Science). As the name may suggest, it is health-themed. Visit http://www.hackhealth.tech/ to register! Registration closes on Friday, Aug 26th at 11:59pm. Upload your resumes too, as we'll be sending them to our sponsors!
We have prizes, tons of company swag, t-shirts, food, and mentors. Some of the companies we have sponsoring us include Google, GitHub, FireEye, Twilio, and Namecheap, and we are still coordinating with more. Thanks to your positive feedback from last semester, we will have our yoga/tai-chi instructors coming back. We'll also have several guest speakers talk about their health fields during the opening ceremonies. Best of all, you get to spend a day working on an awesome project that you can put on your resume and then show off at the career fair the next week!
Hackers of all levels are welcome, from freshmen to grad students. Everyone is welcome to apply! Think you're not experienced enough to attend? Think again, and also come to our bootcamp on Friday the 9th, where we will have workshops on topics such as git/github, Android Studio, and web app programming.
Keep an eye on the HackHealth website, as well as the Facebook event page for updates. Also, take a look at the bootcamp event page. You may need to be a member of our group to view the events, but we will happily approve everyone!
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to email us at [email protected]
Eligibility
All attendees must be university students.
Teams are officially limited to 3 people per team. (You can have more team members, but we reserve the right to limit the amount of prizes to three people.)

Applied Visions Prize for Most Well-Crafted Hack

Most Influential Hack
Most Influential will be awarded to the hack that has the potential to make a big impact. You win if your hack can make people’s lives better or easier in a profound way. -
Most Learning Hack
Not everyone comes to hackathons with a lot of experience under their belt. Some of your projects may not be the most complex, but you will be learning and gaining valuable skills. If you had to figure things out from scratch, run for this prize! -
Most Original Hack
This award is for those who have the most eye-catching project. It is often the idea that no one has ever thought of that does the most good or makes the biggest impact. If your idea makes us say “WOW,” this is the prize for you.
