Hack Ridge is Maine South High School's 3rd annual hackathon event in which students stay in the school cafeteria for 24 hours to create innovative projects in a collaborative environment. High school students are offered an opportunity to explore their interest in computer science while also developing real world skills.This year, Hack Ridge is a Major League Hacking Member Event and is sponsored by Make School, americaneagle.com, Github, Major League Hacking, TeaLula, and the District 207 Education Foundation.
Eligibility
Any high school or middle school student is welcome to participate in Hack Ridge with one condition: they must bring in a parent-signed physical copy of our liability and photo release forms. Both of these can be found on the Hack Ridge website (www.hackridge.io).
Requirements
Hackers are free to build whatever they want. The only requirement to be considered for event prizes and judging is that your project must be submitted to Devpost before hacking concludes at noon on Sunday March 5.

Teams demonstrate a project that can accomplish its set purpose. Submitted project has no obvious missing functionality. -
Originality
Teams have created a project that has not been implemented before or a project that significantly innovates a currently existing solution. Submitted project has no obvious plagiarism. -
Presentation
Teams present their project effectively, concisely highlighting their project's purpose and its functionality. Teams do not go over the allotted presentation time limit. -
Completeness
Teams have a polished project which looks clean and professional. Submitted project does not have obvious bugs or significant user experience issues. Submitted project properly functions.
