Enjoy 24 hours of hacking, open to build anything you like. Challenges will be provided but we encourage people to think outside the box.
We will have student and sponsor led workshops to introduce you to various technologies.
You can hack in teams of up to 4 people but if you're a lone wolf no one will feel offended! Teams of more than 4 people will not be considered for our many cool prizes.
Hackers will be given a period at the end to present their project, what they made and how they made it, what tech they used and if they had any problems.
HackSurrey Mk2 is free of charge, food and refreshments will be provided and paid for by our awesome sponsors as well as the prizes and challenges.

Use the Webex Teams API or mobile SDK in your project. One winning team will be selected from all MLH Member Events each weekend. Each member of the winning team will receive a power bank.

Use Clarifai's image or video recognition API or SDK in your project. One winning team will be selected from all MLH Member Events each weekend.
[MLH Weekly] Snap Kit Weekly Challenge
Use Snap Kit in your hack. One winning team will be selected from all MLH Member Events each weekend and top entries will be reviewed by Snap engineers. Each winning team member will receive a pair of Spectacles by Snapchat.
[GitHub/MLH] Best Octocat Drawing
Draw a picture of the GitHub Octocat. Tweet a picture of your drawing at @GitHubEducation with both #HackSurreyMk2 and #MyOctocat. The winner at each event will receive an Octocat Statue.
