signing off??

Since the last post here was in 2008, I propose eliminating this blog. I think we all have blogs of our own at this point... My blog address is : http://mommytrackvstenuretrack.blogspot.com/  , and of course, we will always have facebook....
So - I'm going to try to sign out as an administrator... I'll still "follow" it in case anyone else posts too...

Hot Pink Genie Pants

Not that many people read this, but I just wanted to muse for a bit...and seeing how I don't have my very own blog like most of you...you get to read (if you still read this) muse here.

I just got back from a very long trip. It was great fun, but I think that everyone needs a little spontaneity in their life. What does this have to do with my trip you might ask. Well, every little minute of our trip was planned. That was a good thing seeing how we had to see the best parts of three countries while we were gone. But one of my favorite moments on the trip was when I was shopping. I was looking at what I wanted to buy in various places when I saw some genie pants. Hot pink genie pants. Spontaneously I bought said genie pants. I don't even know where I will find a modest genie top, or how I will most likely make the top, shoes, and pony-tail head thing (think I Dream of Genie). But, how can you resist buying genie pants when you see them?

Now, for all of you who are wondering even more why I would write this here...I must say that now I am back home and I have a million things yet again to do (although doing laundry and unpacking is totally not in comparison to what I just did) I really want to look around (so nobody is watching...yet) and wear the genie pants.

I think everyone needs to find their own genie pants every now and then. The big, M C Hammer-big genie pants. I hope that you all can. :)

Thanksgiving

***SEE UPDATE BELOW***

So. Thanksgiving is upon us. Wanna get together?

We have tentatively planned a gathering Wednesday night (November 21st) at the Bostwick Household at approximately 7 PM. This has not been confirmed with the lady of the house, but she loves us, so I'm comfortable with putting it out there. Jay, can you make sure this is okay? We could do it at my house as a backup plan. I don't know that even those of you who have been there remember where it is, but it is an option. If it happens I will email my address and directions out.

Discussion is still open on an activity, but mostly we just like to hang out and talk anyway, so why expend the extra energy to plan? Really it's because I am all planned out at the moment (we just planned activities for 2008 in my ward). A Heroes something game was suggested. I was assured that on a scale from 1 to 10 it was a zero in being like Gurps (that one game we all know and feel strongly about in some way), but really I don't believe that. BUT it did involve Spiderman and The Incredible Hulk, and those are characters I can point out in a line up, so I'm willing to give it a try.

That's it. Have a good short week, everybody! And I'll see you Wednesday...

Okay, here's the skinny. 7 PM tonight at Bostwicks. If you need directions, call... somebody. I hesitate to post info on here just because it's available to everyone (and I mean everyone). And bring some sort of food to share. We will probably be just playing games (unless someone comes up with a brilliant plan) and talking. That's what we do best, after all!!

I just wanted to show you what I was doing at work yesterday! I really am sorry that I seem to have fallen off the face of the earth! I will be better about sending you all personal emails about my boring, yet crazy life! I hopefully will see you at Christmas time!

Love ya,

Around for Christmas

I just read Tim's blog. I'll be around for Christmas and new years, but we're going on a cruise from the 17th to the 21st of December... in fact, if anyone wants to come, it was only $510 for both of us together - that's only $255 per person if you find someone who wants to come with you... the more the merrier. That included taxes and fees... you just have to find a way to LA.
Anyway - if anyone is interested in going to Mexico where it is warm over the break, email me at my [email protected] account and I'll send you the info.

The main point of this blog - I'd love to get together and see everyone over Christmas. The week between Christmas and New Years is best for me. Or, is Jay's family still doing waffles on NY Eve?
I hope everyone is doing well!
