A couple years ago we decided to make our Sundays more centered around church and less centered around T.V. It was a big adjustment at the beginning. I began to look for church related movies that we could watch as a family. I came across the Liken Series online. They were musical movies that related to different stories in the Bible and Book of Mormon. All the reviews were good and so I decided to try one out. We started with the one about Nephi and Laban. The kids loved it so much that they started acting out the musical rap song. We have since purchases all but one that they have produced.
They just recently started filming Jonah and the Great Big Fish, but for the first time they decided to put on a play production at the Scera Center For The Arts. I decided that it would be a great surprise for the boys. I got front row seats and had to put them away until the big day. The boys were so excited for a surprise. We told them we were taking them somewhere fun and that was all. I had them dressed up and I never got a photo. They all looked so great and no one complained about mom dressing them nice.
We took them to Five Guys Burgers and Fries and I can say that it was the first time in soooooo long that they all behaved while out to eat. As we pulled up to the Scera Kayden saw the sign and belted out where we were going. They only thought it was a movie and not the play.
It was so amazing to watch it live. The music and dances were so much fun. Easton sat on my lap for most of it and when the actors came close to the stage I felt his legs wrap tightly around my. It was priceless to see the looks on their faces. If you ever get the chance to see a Liken movie preformed live then don't miss your chance.
