Golden Trio Tutorial (without pictures)
Welcome to my second tutorial and we’ll be making a banner of the Trio in Harry Potter. You can use this for many things, like a LJ banner, etc. Up to you. This was created in Paint Shop Pro X and I hope this will be easy to translate in any other program. There are no pictures in this, but someday I will make one where you can see the pictures. Promise.

If you need help, please send me a message or if you want this doing for yourself or something like it, fill out the order form at AHewlettArt
1) First, choose the picture you want. For this tutorial I have chosen this one. You can use this picture if you want, but if you upload the finish produce please remember to credit the site.
2) Create a new image. For mine, I chose 600x300 (widthxheight in pixels). As a rule of thumb, I always colour the background with black. Hides any mistakes but a few will pop up but you can hide them with a texture or brush.
3) Copy and paste your picture as a new image since it needs to be resized. Resize it to approximately 58 percent. If you need help on this, please send me a message.
4) Copy and paste your new resized image as a new layer on your 600x300 picture. Move it slightly so Daniel isn’t hidden anymore. Call this layer ‘Trio.’
5) Duplicate the ‘Trio’ layer and set to Soft Light.
6) Make a new Raster layer and don’t name it anything. Fill it with this colour ‘#0C136D’ and set it to Exclusion 40%.
7) Make another new Raster layer and fill it with ‘#A77141’ and set it to Soft light.
8) Make another Raster layer and fill this one with ‘#f7eddf’ and set it to Multiply.
9) Duplicate your base again and set it to Overlay. Now it’s a bit dark but set the Opacity to 53.
10) Create a new Raster layer and fill it with ‘#f3f1b1’ and set it to Soft light. Now this is a bit too light so put the Opacity to 49.
11) Now duplicate your base, bring it up to the top and desaturate it (Shift-H) Set this layer to Hard Light and set the Opacity to 88.
12) Make a new Vector layer now for your text. Select the Requiem font and make the size 24. Now, set your Kerning (see ‘Help’ on your program if you don’t know what it is) to 301. Move it so it’s at the bottom right hand corner, near the white bird.
13) Once you’ve done that, make another Vector layer and type in ‘Forever together’ and set the font to Century Gothic and change the size to 9.
And that’s it. You can put your name somewhere, or add brushes. If you need any help, please contact me – miracle_anne_summers@yahoo.co.uk
