Red and White...

Here we go....

I thought I'd show you the wall hanging I made for Crafty Individuals on their Hochanda show:

I stamped the tree and star straight onto calico. If you tape the calico to a piece of card and then use a stamping platform, you can get a good image even though these stamps are so detailed. I've then played around layering them up on various fabrics, adding stitching, ribbons etc.

That's real ivy wound round the branch - seemed to last pretty well! Certainly grows up all my trees in the garden!

Cards...

Melina's stamps also lend themselves well to cards.
This has a simple sprayed background using several stencils:

I stencilled in white first on this and then sprayed with Distress Oxides:

Uprights...

Both these projects use some of the new Uprights from That's Crafty! as well as stencils and stamps.
The background on this one is a very detailed leaf pattern that works really well with texture paste:

This is using the same flowers stamped onto tissue paper and stuck and sealed with Acrylic Wax. I've used Distress Crayons over the top:

Butterfly...

All in red...

This uses some of the new That's Crafty! products that were on Hochanda this week: Melina's new stamps, uprights and stencils:

When I started this it went completely wrong and I kept on having to paint over it! In the end I did multicoloured stencilling and then threw paint at it - literally! The flowers and butterflies are added on top.

Spooky Floral....

Harbinger of Doom...

I love this crow (rook or raven - we couldn't decide!) stencil:

I've used it with the black texture paste lightly brushed with interference paint:
