SAT Math Test

The SAT Math section, like the Reading and Writing section, is divided into two modules. Each module has a time limit of 35 minutes for a total of 70 minutes to answer 44 questions. There is a 10-minute break between modules.

The test covers four categories:

01

Algebra: 13–15 questions

02

Advanced Math: 13–15 questions

03

Problem-Solving and Data Analysis: 5–7 questions

04

Geometry and Trigonometry: 5–7 questions

Around one third of the questions will be “set in context,” meaning they are word questions that present a scenario involving a mathematical calculation. Unlike the previous SAT format, a calculator is allowed for the duration of the test for any question you wish to use it on.

Our practice tests are designed to reflect the increasing difficulty of the SAT Math section. You will notice that the tests include questions from all four categories and increase in difficulty across the 12 tests. Start your prep today by selecting a practice test above.
