Sunday night our family went up on the fruit loops road to watch the sun set. We were playing frisbee and riding scooters around. Caleb was playing in a pile of dirt. Somehow he lost both his crocs (shoes) he was able to find one but not the other. So I went home and got shovels and rakes. Bryce dug and dug for about an hour but we never found it. Caleb said a prayer. We finally gave up and went home. Caleb was crying.
The next morning (Monday) I woke up and felt that we needed to go back. I told calvin to take Caleb and go look for it. He just kept reading his book and never got up. Caleb had put the shovels and rakes in his car. Finally I got mad and took Caleb Jimmy and Maggie up to the dirt pile. I sent Calvin and mad message and told him to clean the whole house.
We got up to the dirt pile and I raked for about ten minutes. I told caleb to call Calvin and told him to bring another rake. Calvin was actually on his way. He got out of the car and took the shovel. He started complaining saying the shoe isn’t here. Dad looked for an hour!! Right as he said that, he pushed the shovel down and pulled out the shoe!!
Amazing! I know Heavenly Father had a hand in it. It had to happen that way so he showed my boys what faith was. The fact that the very first shovel and it came up. We were laughing. I hope it taught Calvin and Caleb the power of prayer and nothing is impossible.
