| I wrote a Steve/Bucky fic for the big bang! I'm afraid it's the same scenario that's been written about 50,000+ times since I started working on this back in May, but here's my version anyway. My artist was great to work with, my beta readers were incredibly helpful, and it was a good experience all around, so I'm glad I gave writing in Marvel-verse a shot. Title: This Must be the Place Author: hollycombArtist: digitalwaveRating: Explicit Pairings: Steve/Bucky Words: ~25,000 Warnings: Implied past non-con, PTSD Summary: When Bucky reemerges, he is adamant that James Buchanan Barnes is dead and that the shell of the Winter Soldier will soon expire according to Hydra's design. Steve is not willing to accept this, or the fact that Bucky seems to want it to be true. Link to Fic: AO3Link to Art: AO3, LJ | |

| So weird to post in this journal again, so weird to post Star Trek fic again, but I feel like some ST fic is fitting for the birthday of my beloved viivi (which was Monday, so this is a belated gift)! Veev: YEARS AGO me and you were talking about this idea where Sulu was trying to drive on an icy road while Kirk (EXPERIENCED ICY ROAD DRIVER) was his passenger, and when Sulu couldn't get the hang of it Kirk took over and sex happened. I was trying to think of something cool to do for your birthday and remembered that I actually had a couple of pages of this draft, and I was not surprised to reread them and remember that I mixed Troubling love triangle/threesome content in, too, so it seemed kind of a perfect tribute to our good times in this fandom ;____; I hope you will like this! Happy birthday my dear <3 <3 <3!!! Title: Driving Conditions Pairing: Kirk/Sulu (background Sulu/Chekov) Rating: Explicit (nothing less would honor the Trek Years) Summary: On shore leave, Sulu is having trouble driving an old-fashioned car (which Kirk insisted upon) on a rural Russian road. Kirk gives him a hand. ( Driving ConditionsCollapse ) | |

| I just realized I've had anon commenting turned off on this journal for years, shit. Sorry about that, and if anyone wants to comment anonymously from now on, feel free. | |
| Did anyone ever write an AU where young Kirk stays with grandpa Tiberius in Atlanta during the summer and meets Leonard McCoy? I know this pairing used to be huge, so I'm assuming something along these lines must exist... | |
| I made a Tumblr account: Holly Hark. I'm pretty excited about it, actually! My current fandom is most active on there, so I'm hoping it will be a good advertising tool for fics. I'll post links to everything I write on there, not just South Park. My South Park Big Bang fic was posted yesterday! It's a mirror verse fic, because there is canon mirror verse in SP, and it is very serious business, even though the main plot of the episode was a goldfish who murdered people. The art for my story is delightful -- I am a control freak about how my stories ~~look~~ so I was nervous about embedded art, but it's quite charming and well done. So I guess slash fandom is doing Avengers this summer, ehh?? And Game of Thrones, which I still haven't seen but now need to, because it was featured on South Park. I'll probably just buy the first season and mainline it one weekend. My plans for the summer (after finishing 3 WIPs): -Long and (mostly, there are some bright spots) depressing SP AU where the war with Canada has been going on for ten years. I have the first 5 pages done and I actually like them, sorta. -Attempt to revive the SP kink meme?? -One more (and probably last) Sid/Andy thing | |

| I felt rage toward every person who walked past my desk at work while I was trying to read this today: Patience, a Steady Hand by helenish (warning, there's non-con of the Viking variety at the beginning) This is a million times better than the Viking AU I never finished, so if any of you who were disappointed that I didn't finish it are still around, READ THIS. It's amazing, it's everything I hoped to do with that story. I never ever cry over fanfiction and haven't cried over a published novel since I was 17, but I started to get kind of emotional at the end. Also, as anyone who follows this journal knows, I never rec anything, ever. But GUYS. guys. I know this is old news to everyone in Inception fandom (lol I am not in the fandom, just desperate for fanfic since my current fandom is in pre-big bang mode), but dang. Dang. I've spent the week reading everything helenish wrote in Inception, I think I might be nearing the end. D: Also got some good work done on my SP big bang today, between bouts of feverishly reading this. And it's like 70 degrees here, wow. So it was a good day, but now I have to go out with my MIL, dang. | |
| Is anyone else watching Hocus Pocus right now??? Anyway, Happy Halloween!! Mine started out great with the best SP preview ever, and work kind of sucked BUT I had time to write SP fic, so who can complain. Speaking of that, South Park big bang sign ups start tomorrow: and I am very excited :33 | |

| There's a lot going on! Best of all: snow day today. SECOND DAY IN A ROW. I'm so happy I don't even know how to handle it. I'm almost done with the ~novel manuscript~ and still feel confident about getting it into decent shape by the end of the month. Other stuff I'm working on: My stories for the S/C Fanworksathon: Snippet 1 and Snippet 2A long and angsty S/C fic A mid-length Marcus/Kyle fic I'm going to save the final chapter of the manuscript for tomorrow so I can do some fun/relaxing fanfic stuff today, and hopefully I'll have something to post by the end of the day! I also need to archive some older stuff that never made it to this journal. In other fandom news, vestigiales made me this amazing graphic for When Will I See You Again. The colors are so gorgeous and the images of the guys are perfect -- it's a really lovely representation of the story. :3 | |
| Prompting is open for the S/C Fanworks-a-thon!! There are already about 40 prompts that I feel like I HAVE TO WRITE, haha ~ I got teary eyed thinking about the Never Let Me Go one at the gym tonight?!?! ~ and it's fun just to read through them, but everyone who's interested should add their own, too! Old KM prompts that are still on your mind are allowed and encouraged. :D | |
| I prompted this scenario a million years ago on the meme, kinda started writing it back in MARCH when I was on vacation, left it alone for a long time, went back to it during the summer, left it alone again, went back to it last month, and actually finished it today, over six months later. I also have some new South Park fics up over at formerdinosaur if you're interested. Why do I have a separate South Park fic journal, lol?? It seemed like a good idea at the time. Title: Courtyard Flowers Fandom: Star Trek Pairing: Sulu/Chekov Rating: NC-17 Word Count ~10,000 Summary: AU -- Sulu is a warrior who is tasked with training slaves to serve King Kirk. He doesn't like this job at all until Pavel comes along. ( Courtyard FlowersCollapse ) | |
| Hey guys ~ whattya think about a Sulu/Chekov Fanworks-a-thon?? Ehhhh?? I've signed up, and I think it will be a great way to revitalize fandom and get a bunch of new fan works out there like in the ~good old days!~ Fics only have to be 1000 words long! Sign up if you're interested. :)) | |
| This is QUITE POSSIBLY the most meandering thing I've ever written, lol, probably because I was reminiscing about my trip to D.C. while I wrote it. I basically wrote this fic in my head while we were there. :3 Title: Haunted Places Fandom: Star Trek Pairings: Sulu/Chekov, Kirk/McCoy, Spock/Uhura Rating: R Word Count ~22,000 Warning: They're sophomores in high school, so: ~UNDERAGE GROPING!~ Summary: On a three-day school trip to Washington D.C., Hikaru's class stays in a haunted hotel, and he can't decide if sharing a double bed with his crush is a good thing or the worst idea ever. ( Haunted PlacesCollapse ) | |
| I didn't finish either of my Halloween fics in time, but they'll both be posted soon ~ it's been a pretty great Halloween weekend, we've had quite a few trick or treaters and we're watching Shadow of a Doubt (Chekov = girl!Charlie and Sulu = dreamy detective boyfriend Jack, fyi), and in lieu of fiction I have this to offer in honor of Halloween: ( bestever.jpgCollapse )omg this detective Jack guy is so Sulu, he'd better not die ;____; | |

| From this story: “This situation begs the question,” the Dungeon Master says, and sips from a can of strawberry milk. “Is bread the staff of life or the staff of death?”
“What does that mean?” Cherninsky asks.
“Read more,” the Dungeon Master says. “Enrich yourself.”
“We all read,” Brendan says.
“I mean books,” the Dungeon Master says. “I can’t believe you’re a wizard.”(I just lol'd at work :D) | |
| After watching The Orphanage I had to write something about fretting parents that had a HAPPY ending, so I did a little sequel to Come What May. I'm off to D.C. in a few hours so I'll be away from the internet for awhile ~ have a good weekend, everyone! Title: Riptide Fandom: Star Trek Pairing: Sulu/Chekov Rating: R Word Count: ~8,400 Summary: On their first family vacation off ship, Chekov is unable to leave his anxieties behind.
