10K
For Memorial Day I decided to run a 10k race. I wanted something that would push me but wouldn't be as difficult as the half marathon that I ran last year, so a 10k was perfect!!! It was in honor of the fallen soldiers and community heroes, (firefighters, cops, etc.) thought that was a good cause. Anyway, my family was there, which really meant a lot. They had a million places to be that day, and they came to support me. Thanks guys!!!
It was a very early cold morning. Perfect for running, but freezing for the spectators.
The kids got their faces painted while they waited. So cute!!!
I'm not a very fast runner, (can you say tortoise?) but I beat my best time by 3 minutes, so I can't complain. I came in at 1:02. Good for me!!!

Up and Running Again
OK so we've been without our computer for several months. We finally got it all up and running today, so I am updating the blog with some highlights that have taken place over the last 8 months or so. Of course not everything is on here, just the most memorable for us.
This was the last night in our house. We all slept on the floor cuz everything else was packed. This was a very emotional time for us, (especially me). We were so excited to move back to Utah, but we love our house and friends soooo much!!!
Bye House!
We went to the pumpkin patch. There was so much to do there; mazes, pumpkin princesses, seed spitting contests, pig races, pedal cars, monsters, life-sized Lincoln logs to build cabins, giant jumping pillows, inflatables, super slides, petting zoo, etc. You get the picture. SOOOOO much fun!!! We will always go, every year!
Of course it was Halloween. It's always been a really big deal in my family, so we threw a huge Halloween party. Adam and I were Asians and the Kids all wanted to be super heroes. We had a really good time!!!

Lydia turned 8 this last February 23. It is also my brother David's birthday. Because she turned 8 she got to have a late night party with all her friends. It was a lot of fun for her.
She also chose to be baptized, which made Adam and I very happy. She was very excited to be baptized and she looked so beautiful!
It was AJ's b-day on Marc 17. He wanted a "car cake" so he could play cars. He also loves cowboys so he got all geared up with hats, guns, badges and boots. Love ya my little cowboy!!!
It was Easter. We talked about Jesus of course, and had an Easter egg hunt. Pretty typical Easter this year.
Gabby had a gymnastics show/recital. She won a medal (as did all the kids). She was so scared to perform, but once it was over she was glowing from ear to ear. I was very proud of her for conquering her fear.

Hiking Day
Adam and I went for a hike the other day. We wanted to climb up the only mountain in El Paso before we move, so we called our trusty babysitter and headed out. In this picture, you can see our destination in the back ground; the rock at the top of the mountain behind me.

A little cave/cutout in the side of them mountain that we found.

Here Adam found a rock wall that he wanted to climb. It was so tricky. There were no grooves or cuts into the rock for him to grab on, just his tip toes and finger tips. It was pretty impressive that he made it to the top!

VICTORY!!!

Here is our destination!!! So this is the most beautiful spot in all of El Paso. Glad that we got to the top to see it before we left.
