 The battle with disinformation, and how susceptible Filipinos are to propaganda.   Much has changed ever since the upsurge in technology, including how news is delivered. Unlike the old times, our grandparents relied only upon the information from newspapers, books, and the television. With various online platforms now accessible to every Filipino, it is apparent that an immense amount of them fail to discern what is and what’s not legitimate news. It is a problem because it’s starting to rewrite our history. A latest report stated that 76 million out of 110 million Filipinos consume media and that 97% of them, as of today, use Facebook, that includes adults, teens, and even children. Most users who spread fake news are even Millenials, that share links on the platform for everyone to see. Human Population Growth and our Society's Carrying Capacity

  For the past 20 years, based on reliable charts, the Human Population’s growth has changed drastically. Not only with its growth but also with the effects it has on the economy. Surprisingly, the growth rate has not increased dramatically from 2002 to 2022. As a matter of fact, the yearly growth rate is actually declining, unlike how it did in the past century when the number of humans has doubled and grown by an additional 3.5 billion (Benedick, 2000).  In some countries, the population has increased significantly. In fact, in places like the South Sudan, the population has grown up to 5.05% compared to its previous years. This is a problem because about two-thirds of the citizens are experiencing food shortages and are in a food crisis (Mcconville, 2021).
