to the PTB-
What have I done wrong to deserve this? I put up with the Dance Dance Evolution, Revolution, whatever the fuck it's called yesterday blasting techno music for an hour during the lunch break while a bunch of students screamed. The jello shot races that left me going WTF? Seriously...I get that it's spirit week. I really do.
But who, in their right mind, thought having a Rap Off would be amusing? I am listening to middle school and high schools students rap...really, really badly I might add.
Please...I'll offer up a kidney if you make it stop.

Once upon a time Ari read a series of books called The Riftwar Saga by Raymond Feist. In these books was a boy named Tomas who was actually the reborn spirt of an ancient Dragon Lord or Valheru named Ashen-Shugar. Ashen-Shugar rode a dragon...
Here is my quandry. Has anyone else read this series? Do they remember the name of the dragon? I cannot find my books and I can't find it online and it's making my brain hurt to the point that I'm tempted to go buy the damn book just so I can remember.

Also forgot to mention, it seems like this will be a big travelling year for me.
In April I'm heading for Chicago (Rosemont) for the quilt show I'm in. Anyone in the area, shout out and I'll see what I can do about visits. Kari, you're already down.
Sometime between April and June I'm heading with the child to Seoul South Korea to visit my parents who are living over there temporarily.
Sometime in August-Sept I want to take a vacation. An honest, vacation. This will be just me, no work, no family, no internet, no nothing. Probably to the Oregon coast. This will be Ari self introspection figure out the direction of my life time.
November it's Houston, another quilt show. Again with the, if you're there let me know so I can see your shining face. Rand and Dandy, don't shoot me for not knowing my Texan geography, but how far are you both?
December, Raleigh NC for the winter Holidays with the family. Becky...making the trip and I forbid anyone pipes from doing not normal pipely type things *G*. Khir, depending on where you are and as bad as it sounds, I'm hoping you aren't nearby and I mean that in the 'Wow I hope you get the job' kind of way and not the 'OMG I don't want to see you, you evil ho' kind of way.
Yeaaaah. Wow. Cool though.

It's the second anniversary of the day I kicked Orc out. This is fucking with my emotions on top of the tired and travel and long drive. So...blah.

Suddenly I cannot see any image hosted by photobucket. I can log into my account and see them, but I can't see any that people post and I can't see them in my own posts. Sometimes I see a little thing that says, "Image hosted by Photobucket" but usually I don't see anything.
Does anyone have any idea what could be causing this? As far as I know, no one else is having this issue.

This morning:
Child didn't sleep for shit last night. She was vomiting about every 45 minutes and continually whining/whimpering in her sleep becaue her stomach hurt Am tired. Worried. She isn't even keeping water down so her fever is out of control.
Taking her back to the doctor this morning.
Currently:
Took child back to the clinic and they did another 1000ml of fluid and some IV antibiotics. Took about three hours, but this time I had my laptop so she got to spend the time watching Scooby Doo movies. Her fever spiked up again while we were there and they tried to give her advil a quarter teaspoon at a time and after one, she threw up. So, we're doing suppository tylenol and I have some anti nausea medication, so we'll see if that works.
They sent us home tonight with her IV lock still in and her arm splinted. We have to go back tomorrow at 9 am for more IV fluids and medication . At that point they should have some results from her cultures so we know what we're dealing with. They're still saying kidney infection though.
Right now..just so tired.
and pissed as all fuck at her dad who came for five fucking minutes, then took off to a family BBQ. I want to do things I can't even say to h im.

I am frazzled and just exhausted. I woke up this morning at around 2am, about an hour after I finally got to sleep, because Mara was crying. I went to check on her and she was burning up. I took her temp and it was 105 and she never stopped whimpering, not even when she was so sound asleep she was snoring. I took her to the ER.
She was fine yesterday morning, but at 1:00 I got a call to go pick her up from school because she wasn't feeling well. When we got home her fever was about 100, so..not too bad. She said her stomach hurt and I was thinking she was coming down with a stomach bug of some sort.
She ate okay last night and after some Advil was acting pretty much close to normal, not even too grumpy. By bedtime she was pretty whiney, but I got her down okay.
Anyway...ER at 2 am. They stripped her out of her clothes and took her blanket away to bring her fever down. That did not go over so well. She screamed and cried so much her temp was actually going up. They gave her some Tylenol and did a urinalysis and blood work. She's never had blood drawn before and she was feeling horrid and it was the middle of the night, so needless to say, she didn't handle it well. The ended up having to strap her arm to a board and it took three people to hold her down. So. NOT. Fun.
Then they thought it might be appendicitis, so they did an ultrasound, which she also did not like because it hurt her stomach when they pushed on it, but they didn't see anything. So, they're saying UTI and kidney infection, but I have to keep an eye on her. They gave her two IV bags to hydrate her.
Long story short...but not, we got back home @12:30. They wanted to keep her, but I talked to the doctor and they let me take her home because I'm still current on all my paramedic certs. She's on some massive antibiotics dosage and advil for the pain. They are worried about bacterial resistance, but she can't take a lot of the stronger drugs until she's 12 or older. I have to take her back in on Monday for a recheck. If she starts vomiting or stops eating I have to take her back and they'll keep her at least until Monday morning.
So tired and yet...can't calm enough to sleep. She's tucked into a nest of blankets on the sofa with Scooby Doo playing. She looks like absolute shit.
