"Make it So!"

Have been learning Visual Basic, using working model 4.0. What can I say? It's visual and you can play around with the features. Having first used GW Basic, it's not at all difficult. Just learning where things are in the pull down menus is the major difference.

Ok, so I feel I understand a bit more about Java and OOP: Class, Object, Polymorphism, Interface, Instance of a class, keeping values static in a class. Now I need to gain some understanding of Abstraction.

Have been busy learning new stuff, namely Java. Also trying to learn FrameMaker and PageMaker. Have heard Scribus is pretty good too.

With the job outlook looking pretty bleak, I'm pondering relocating, along with a series of problems which occurs when you've been out of work for four years. These are hard times for me, and I have to try and stay the course. I get edgy at times, and feel despondent. But my faith keeps me afloat. I have to believe in the options which are present in my life. Although they may not be what I aspired to, they will put food on the table, and help me pay bills. Unfortunately, being emotionally abandoned by my immediate family doesn't help my situation either.

Had a great birthday, and ate way too much. Back to studying about software.
