Join Georgia State’s annual celebration of IEW. Choose from a variety of signature events to attend.
Since 1999, Georgia State has celebrated IEW by hosting hundreds of events that range from cultural performances, international food and dance, lectures, study abroad panels, a flag parade, and much more. Events are open to the entire GSU community and take place on all campuses.

TYPES OF EVENTS:
- Signature Events = internationally-themed events specifically promoted by the Office of International Initiatives. Signature events.
- Non-Signature Events = internationally-themed events happening across campuses.
Note: Perimeter Campus events are labeled with their respective campus. Perimeter Campus students are welcome to attend events downtown. Free parking is available at the Green Lot at Center Parc Stadium and all shuttles are free.

Leaders Communicate Showcase - LE360

Location: Speakers Auditorium (Student Center East)Join an engaging and fun-filled experience where student leaders from LE360 and other teams lead interactive activities designed to sharpen public speaking, relationship-building, delegation, and intercultural conflict skills.
Plus, celebrate alongside LE360 Fellows as they receive their completion pins and showcase their capstone projects after a semester of growth in global competency, career readiness, and leadership development.
Percussion Ensemble Concert

Location: Rialto Center for the ArtsLed by Dr. Stuart Gerber and Dr. Kellen King, the Georgia State University Percussion Ensemble presents a vibrant program that highlights the ensemble’s rhythmic precision and global reach. The evening features music by Japanese composer Yo Goto, Australian composer Nigel Westlake, and French-Slovenian composer Vinko Globokar, alongside spirited arrangements of Three Mexican Folk Songs from Chiapas. Flute professor Jessica Petrasek will join the ensemble as soloist, adding another dynamic voice to the program.This performance is not only part of the Scholarship Series, with proceeds directly supporting student scholarships, but also serves as a preview of the ensemble’s upcoming PASIC performance, showcasing the artistry and innovation of GSU’s percussion students on a national stage.🎟 Tickets: $12 general admission | $5 students

Culture and Healthcare in Latin America

Location: Student Center West, Room 103Speaker on the topic of culture and healthcare in Latin America with the CEO of Communidad Connect, Jon Thompson. Communidad Connect is an NGO that services healthcare and community building in regions like Nicargua and the Dominican Republic.
Panther's Passport: An International Education Week Dinner Series

PantherDining is excited to celebrate International Education Week across all three dining halls. From Monday through Friday, each evening will feature a unique dinner menu highlighting the flavors, traditions, and cuisines of countries around the globe. With dishes representing 15 different nations, this week is designed to bring our diverse community together through the universal language of food.Students are invited to join the journey with their Panther Passport. Each time you dine at a hall and experience a featured country, your passport will be stamped. The goal is to “visit” as many countries as possible throughout the week—encouraging exploration, connection, and fun along the way.Whether you’re tasting something familiar or discovering a new favorite, International Week is your chance to celebrate culture, community, and cuisine right here on campus. AYS International Pathways

Location: Newton 2N Atrium and AuditoriumThis all-day event will include multiple sessions including a presentation on the Cape Town Study Abroad trip. a student poster session on Ghana, “Write Like an Egyptian” hieroglyphs and travel tales, dance, soccer, and Honors student presentation, and a cooking demo of an African dish. There will be a Study Abroad table, also.
