IJIC has an Impact Factor of 2.60 (2024 JCR, received in June 2025)

Celebrating 25 years of IJIC Wednesday 14 May 2025 11:00am-12:30pm Western European Summertime (WEST)
Join us for the live stream of this special sub-plenary session marking the 25th anniversary of IJIC. As the leading open-access journal dedicated to integrated care, IJIC has played a central role in advancing research, policy, and practice across the globe.
This session brings together Editors-in-Chief, founding contributors, and new voices to reflect on the journal’s journey, its impact, and the road ahead. The session will feature a mix of presentations and discussions, including highlights from a recent 10-year review and a panel discussion exploring the challenges faced by integrated care researchers and projects in demonstrating and achieving real-world impact.
We invite all authors, reviewers, researchers, practitioners, and policymakers to join us in celebrating the journal’s achievements and engaging in a dialogue on its future.
Editorial Board Members with Lived Experience
IJIC has appointed five new Editorial Board Members who bring lived experience of health and care along with an impressive range of other skills and knowledge. Their insights and networks will help to further strengthen the contribution and rigour of IJIC, including creating more opportunities for people with lived experience of health and care to contribute as authors and reviewers.
Our new editors are:
Deb Letica (Australia) has been a Health /Citizen Leader since 2013. She is passionate about improving health equity, health literacy and partnering with health professionals to learn how to best improve the patient experience, especially for people with special needs.
Stacey Grealis (Ireland) is a health consumer and a leader in citizens science movement. She is living with Rheumatic Muscular Disease and is a Research Partner with the UCD Centre for Arthritis Research and sits on the steering management committee for the Centre.
Mick Kunze (Canada) has both directly and indirectly experienced moments of care. He is passionate about research and knowledge mobilization that directly involves (and is led by) persons with lived and living experience - including non-traditional and arts-based forms of research and knowledge mobilization.
Eskil Degsell (Sweden) is an open-experienced patient and next of kin. He is vice chairman of Swedish Brain Tumour Association and affiliated to research at Karolinska Institute (PCM program) and Gothenburg University (GPCC).
Suzie Edward May (Australia) has a diverse career spanning law; public health governance; health professional education; consumer advocacy; social welfare and mental health. She sits on several state and national committees dedicated to reforming the health systems in Australia.
