Scientific Portfolio

The ILSI Europe Scientific Portfolio 2026 gives an overview of the scientific activities that ILSI Europe will carry out throughout 2026, including Task Forces, Expert Groups, activity proposals, events, and projects we collaborate on. Our ambition is to tackle the most relevant scientific topics and continue working with you!

What lies ahead in 2026?

• A diverse portfolio of activities proposed by our fifteen highly effective Task Forces, ready for launch or further development.
• The kick-off of new Nutrition Expert Groups on relevant and future-looking topics such as postbiotics in early life nutrition, prebiotics in women's health, and more.
• The development of timely New Activity Proposals for Food Safety, including on spore forming microorganisms or the use of “free-from” claims in allergen risk management.
• A stronger collaboration with the other ILSI Entities, including projects on AI in systematic reviews, consumer understanding of postbiotics, and more in the pipeline.
• The ILSI Europe Symposium 2026 with two parallel tracks co-developed with all Nutrition and Food Safety Task Forces –and our 40^th anniversary celebration!
• The TITAN and DATA4Food 2030 EU-projects final conference, entitled “Innovations to build sustainable supply chains in a fair data economy for a better food system”.
• Workshops on timely topics such as GLP-1 and weight management and analytical methods for microplastics in food.
