OOC: Info on the Shattered Glass universe
Mar. 12th, 2012 10:24 pmThis is just an info page dealing with the Transformers universe that Ravage comes from. This is just so when he brings up something about his world people won't go "Wha???" over it.
First and foremost, Transformers Shattered Glass is a mirror universe. More specifically, the comics G1/Classics universe. That means, a lot of things are backwards to what people will normally think when Transformers comes to mind. This world was brought about when G1/classics Cliffjumper went chasing after some red and blue bots, that later form Nexis Prime, through a portal and ended up in there.

( Lets Move Onto Time Frame. )
( Speaking of Earth. )
( References to Other Fandoms and Other Hasbro Lines )

Dec. 18th, 2011 05:36 pmRavage is a robot who does know his way around computers and communications devices. He can also hack into systems, but he mainly does it to go "hey look at me!" rather to get any blackmail material or anything. So, he can most likely hack into lock posts on the comm.

History:
One major note is that Shattered Glass is the mirror universe for G1 Transformers. The Decepticons, with their benevolent leader, Megatron, are the good guys, and the Autobots are the bad guys, led by an Optimus Prime who would make the normal Megatron look like a wimp.
Ravage is one of the loyal recordicons that work with the Decepticon, Sir Soundwave. His specialty is supposedly spying but he would rather people pay attention to him and would often give away his location to the enemy. It's amazing that he has not been captured yet.
He accompanied Soundwave to Earth on the Nemesis, in pursuit of the Ark. While on the way to Earth, Ravage accessed the World Wide Web, in order to learn about the languages and culture. Unfortunately, he mainly looked at places like micro-blogs and lol cat sites. The result of that being that most of the time, he speaks like a lolcat, or like he is texting.
When they got to Earth, the ship was shot down by the human military, and the Decepticons on board, including Ravage, landed in escape pods. He didn't land too far from Soundwave and the other Recordicons and thus joins them to search for the remains of the Nemesis.
When they found the ship, they discover a few human scientists snooping around. Ravage decided to have fun with them by playfully chasing them all over the place and sending them text messages in netspeak about how he was sneaking up on them. This would continue, until Soundwave and the other Decepticon, Heatwave, transforms and puts an end to it and try to calm the humans down. Later, Ravage was scolded for the way he acted, which didn't leave much of an impression on mechanical jaguar.
Ravage got along really well with the human, Sephie, who can understand his netspeak and his developed obsession for the internet. She is also the only one, other than Soundwave, able to keep him quiet. As result, they were paired up on a mission to liberate a human Air Force base from Autobot control.
Most of the time, Ravage's missions on Earth result in him blogging during it. Soundwave has to remind him time after time not to update his blogs. And even then, Ravage may still update one of his blogs. One time Soundwave told him not to update his 'Yatter' account (a parody of Twitter) while on a mission. Well Ravage did technically follow the order. Instead he updated an account to another blogging site. The result was that the Autobot, Blaster, who follows Ravage's blogs, discovered what the two were up to and nearly captured the due. Soundwave was very disappointed with the feline after that.
Surprisingly enough, despite his constant blogging on missions, and not being able to keep his location a secret, Ravage has yet to be captured by the Autobots. He is clever enough to escape tight situations, and is a skilled computer hacker, so that his missions don't end in failure, despite his constant blogging. Also, Ravage has never leaked any vital, top secret information about the Decepticons. All his updates have to with him, where he is, and what mood he is in.
Personality:
Ravage is an attention whore. Even before he came to Earth and discovered micro-blogging, he would often flood the Decepticon's communication channels with details of where he was, and what mood he was in. It got to the point that Megatron had to order complete radio silence for the Decepticons.
He is also quite cheerful, energetic, playful and clever, which helps with dodging capture by the Autobots. Despite acting goofy, he is not stupid, just lacks common sense. In fact, he is very skilled at hacking and information gathering, which is why Megatron still sends him out on missions.
Other:
* Ravage was originally created as a joke by David Willis, one of the artists for Hasbro and the official TF Collector's club magazine that first published the Shattered Glass comic. He even made a Twitter account for Ravage to go along with the joke. Hasbro and the club liked the idea, though, and decided to make the joke part of Shattered Glass canon and Ravage started appearing in some of the stories. Practically nothing was changed about his personality when brought into canon.
* Ravage declares that his arch nemesis/best friend is Steeljaw. Fortunately for him, the Autobot is too lazy to do anything about it, and it usually their encounters end up with Ravage talking and pouncing about, while Steeljaw tries to re-energize (aka taking a nap) and grumbling how he will tear apart the other cat once he wakes up.
* Due to how he learned Earth's languages, he may talk and write like a texting teenager who likes to butcher the English language most of the time. He will talk and write normally if someone gets on his case enough though.
* Ravage is completely addicted to the internet and blogging. And since he is a robot, he is able to access the internet with his mind. Thus he is able to update his blogs on missions, even when he is being chased by an Autobot.

Third Person:
Ravage climbed over the slope of boulders and rocks at the side of the mountain. According to Soundwave and Heatwave, this was where the Nemesis had crashed landed, and thus were Starscream and the good Autobot, Cliffjumper, were buried. Looked like there was going to be a lot of digging ahead, but that would have to wait for when the bigger 'Cons got here. For now, he and Frenzy were to scout the area and make sure there weren't any Autobots at the site.
As he started to make his way down, Ravage started to hear voice towards to base of the rock pile. Curious, he moved closer until he saw them. A few feet below him were four humans standing around a van, talking amongst themselves and pointing in the direction where Soundwave and Heatwave were currently parked.
Excitement bubbled inside the robotic jaguar. He gets to make first contact with the species of this planet!
"HAI!" he yowled out happily to them as he sat on a boulder where he was sure they will see him.
He tilted his head to the side, amused, as they jumped and turned to face him. They were clearly startled to see him.
The older human started speak, slowly and calmly, to the younger ones. "Don't move... Maybe it won't-"
But Ravage cut him off. "I can has humanz?" he asked cheerfully as he raised his front paw to wave at them.
He couldn't help but laugh as the humans screamed and started to run. "Ell-oh-ell," he said as he jumped from his perch an onto leveled ground.
"Ravage!" a voice shouted from behind him. "What are you doing?!"
Ravage turned his head and a human size blue and white Decepticon climbing down towards him.
"I found some humans, Frenzy." He replied cheerfully.
"And scared the slag out them," Frenzy said, not sounding so happy. "What were you thinking?"
"Lulz, I was only having some fun. No worries! I'll get them back!" And Ravage started to run in the direction where he saw two of the younger humans go, before Frenzy could protest.
After a quick scan he discovered that the humans carried some kind of communication and networking device. Looked like he would get to have some more fun and perhaps calm them down and show he wasn't a threat. He quickly started making a text to post to his new Yatter account.
