It’s “Big Picture” time. You’ve been doing scenes in all the previous levels, but in Level 4 you start to think about how to play the scene over the top. Figuring out with your scene partner what the game of your scene is and how to build it to a satisfying climax is one of the most useful skills in comedy — ask anyone, they’ll tell you: “Endings are hard!” — Prerequisite: Level 3

Level 5 Improv

Welcome to Level Five, time to turn up the object work heat! You’ve mastered the basics, tackled scene structure, and now it’s time to put it all together in short- and medium-form games that’ll have you flexing every skill you've gained (and then some).

In this level, we’ll go deeper into performance styles and help you figure out what’s next: Maybe you’re eyeing a spot on a House Team, pumped to perform in the Level 6 Grad Show, or maybe you just want to level up your work presentation game and drop fewer puns at brunch. Whatever your goal, we’ve got you covered!

Here’s what you’ll walk away with:

Learning Outcomes:

Nail longer scenes with smooth edits and killer endings.
Perform (and host!) all the short- and medium-form formats like a pro.
